Wow, hard to believe this is in Burnsville. this will defintely become a destination spot for this little town. Love the big outdoor hangout area with fireplace and cornhole. Had several a-list beers on the big deck with wifey while enjoying some great pizzas and sandwiches. Service is very friendly. Come see it for yourself. Cheers!

Great fresh food. My Burger was perfectly cooked. My granddaughter loved her pepperoni pizza. My wife loved her Steak and Cheese sandwich. The ranch dressing was different but great. I can't exactly remember the name of the beer. But it was great with my burger. We loved everything about Burnsville, NC.

Nothing like a local brewery and Homeplace ranks right up there as one of the good ones. The beer was fantastic. We also enjoyed the mozzarella/garlic strips, which was a pizza like appetizer made in the restaurant's wood fire oven. It was a beautiful day, so we sat out on the balcony. There was also outdoor, picnic table seating below the restaurant. The service was also great!

We visit here a couple times a year and have never had an experience like this. A party of 13 got turned away because of a simple mishap. We understand that rules are in place but to be so disrespectful to potential customers is a tragedy. Sad this happened because we will never return to this business and we will make sure to let others know. There are ways to handle things and it was not only handled very unprofessionally but disrespectfully too.

Well, I found their weak spot. There was only one guy to work the order register when I was there, but he was also serving on the second level. I went back for a second beer and he looked at me twice as he ferried food up stairs. When he walked past me without waiting on me for thenthird time, I gave up and went back to my seat. When je fonallyndidnfinish upstairs he went abput with other orders and never acknowledged that he'd skipped me. Sad.

On the stronger side - the food was excellent.

Gotta figure out the service issue.

Have been calling on redialing over 50 times trying to get through for an order. The man in the tent said to just keep calling which is the least helpful thing in the world. Something needs to give people.

Great brewery in the middle of nowhere USA! It's all in the name when it comes to local places like this. A home away from home and the warmth of community makes sense with their fireplace logo. I'm a sucker for an Amber lager and their Frankie is my go to when I pass through. Check them out! You will not be disappointed.

Stopped in after a hike at mount mitchell while going back to Asheville. Such an easy going and fantastic spot to grab a few beers and try some great food. We got a pizza and a sandwich (both made in house from scratch) and they were top notch. Worth stopping at!!

Homeplace is one of the best businesses around. I just read a one star review by a guy named Chris. He left a review about poor quality, BEFORE HE RECIEVED HIS FOOD. I was in close proximity to the table he was seated at. He said the bad review was due to the mask policy, WHICH IS A STATEWIDE MANDATE. The fact that he has attempted to make this wonderful establishment, which has great food and beer, look bad for merely following the advice of medical experts is a reflection on his poor character, not the quality of Homeplace products. Disregard his review! You'll be doing yourself a favor by doing so!

This Brewery is exactly what I hope for when I go to any brewery. The beer was all delicious, there was a food truck outside that would serve Tamales to your seat, and the focus of Homeplace was clearly on craftsmanship. Bravo.

This is my second visit here. Such a great spot. I am not from the area but was staying nearby and wanted a good brewery to visit nearby. The food is great and so is the cider and beer I have tasted! When I am in town I am going to try and keep supporting these guys! Tonight they have live music which just makes it especially nice since there hasn't been a lot of live music to go enjoy since the various shutdowns because of Covid.

Great venue space, set up very good for outdoor events, tastefully set up. They had live music when we were there which is nice. The beers that they have has something for everyone, but they are all 3-4 star beers, however they are not bad; really wish they have mastered a hop forward beer but in all my times there I haven't seen one, maybe I've just missed it. They have an okay food selection. We chose the wings and pretzels when we were there. The wings were good but lacking a lot of flavor, the pretzel was average at best. I'm sure the owner will make some comment about how the food and beer are two separate establishments (seems a little off-putting with his replies, I can't wait to see how he roasts me - maybe I brought in outside beer?), but it is what it is. Just know the food is average - four star review based on my beer experience. Good spot to hang in Burnsville, but Homeplace is the only game in town for the moment so there you go.

We have never had a bad experience here! Fantastic beer, amazing pizza, and great atmosphere! Exactly what our little town needed. Homeplace has gone above and beyond to ensure social distancing between customers during this time. We can t wait to get back to having a glass of Mustang Oil or Faith Healer on the porch one day soon!

This place has good beer. They do neat and progressive limited releases every week or so. They do trivia weekly. Sometimes they have music. Sometimes there are food trucks.
This is my fav place to get beer in Burnsville.
Sometimes there are young and interesting looking people that gather here and it gives me a little bit of hope for Burnsville.

Visited the area for the day and ended up here for lunch. The service was great and the restaurant was so pretty on the inside. We had pizzas and tried 3 different beers, all of which were wonderful. We will definitely come back to visit when it's warmer to take advantage of their outdoor seating!

A group of my gal pals went here while we were visiting Burnsville, NC. They are in a great location - right in downtown Burnsville, across from the Amish store. We were able to enjoy some coffee, do some window shopping, and graze the Farmer's Market before settling down for a nice beer. It makes for a great way to start the weekend! Terrific staff and great brews - I can't wait to visit them again!

Unfortunately this place needs a reality check. First it reeks of B.O. Also I Just walked out of there paying $16 for a standard 6 pack. Local beer on draft is decently priced. But their canned beer is crazy overpriced compared to everywhere around them. Wont be going back. Too many other local places.

Our pup gives this place four paws up and a wagging tail! We stopped by for a dark beer(it's okay, she's over 21 in dog years)while waiting for a Veggie Pizza to go. The place was hopping! Crew were handling the scene with professional teamwork precision! All good!
Best burger joint this side of Minpro!

Ordered chicken wings which had no salt or pepper. The sauce was good. Ordered margherita pizza and received cheese pizza. Waitress was very nice to have chef make a new one. They added red sauce, and this time u could see it, but it was very light. The problem was they don't add fresh tomatoes, didn't see any fresh basil and very few mushrooms. Waitress informed us that u had to ask for tomatoes. Ordered nachos which tasted good, but was layered badly. Cook(s) need more experience. To top it off, our bus boy asked us to pick-up our dirty dishes and glasses and place them in the dirty stack. Staff was very nice, but place needs to work on entrees. Atmosphere was excellent

The arrogant manager told me i'm not permitted to enter this place. Said i made "disrespectful" comment to a female server. Without hearing my side story, he told me that i'm not welcome there anymore. I made no disrespectful comment to her or anyone. I just retired as a 30 yr. classroom teacher and have 2 daughters as well. I don't speak disrespectfully to anyone. Now I see how Kavanaugh is bullied thru false allegations.

The atmosphere is great, location great, people great, beer great. Food not so good. The cheeseburger had zero flavor unless you drown it in the ranch that's actually pretty good. And the pizza I got tasted like wet spinach on burnt cardboard. Would come back for the beer but not the food.

Response Actually my review was very accurate the pizza was sub par and cold at best and the wings we definitely not any larger than the average chicken wings.

The beer here is amazing, the staff were super friendly. I frequent breweries in Denver all the time, a city known for craft. This place would be a regular stomping ground for me if it was there. Love it. Bought the swag bought the beers. They have a full on wood fired pizza oven too just to add cheeky insult to good injury. This town was dry as recently as 2010, and with this spot they made up for lost time in this beer drinker s opinion.

Nice local brewery where many locals hangout . They have live music often . Plenty of parking and they often have a local restaurant catering at the front door ( taco night is the best ) . Worth stopping for when traveling through Burnsville. Check out there website to keep up with what's happening. I like the Frankie Larger . It located close to the town square.

Beer was decent, but nothing special. pizza was burnt. I expressed my concerns that Homeplace advertised having a deep cleaning to encourage folks to come and gather during this uncertain current situation. Burnsville has an average age of 55, and we need to do our part to keep our community safe. The response from Homeplace was to call me petty for bothering them, assuming that I only said something because of my bad opening day experience. They then blocked me from their Instagram page.

We loved this place from the beginning until we were approached with a mishap, this owner has shown me that he cares and will make this situation corrected from the personal experience we had from the mishap. Any small business is deserving of a chance to change our minds. Try this place.

We could not have been more impressed with our experience at Homeplace. After a day of hiking and exploring in the area, we were ready for a great meal and found exactly that. It's been a few months since we have been in the Burnsville area due to COVID so we had not yet had the opportunity to eat here but this first time will not be our last. The food was great-had individual pizzas and wings. The pico verde wing sauce is a must try. The wings are also whole wings so very generous portions. I don't eat a lot of meat so I modified the BBQ Chicken by subbing mushrooms for chicken. The beer is fantastic and so well crafted. The brewers really pay attention to ingredients with a heightened sense on local elements and a focus on interesting flavors. I'm a big IPA fan and my husband loves dark beers; we both found brews we loved. Try the half glasses to sample several! And don't forget dessert-the S'more pizza. Above and beyond the wonderful food, drinks and service, the team deserves an A+ for their focus on safety, social distancing and COVID precautions. We love supporting small businesses and as small business owners ourselves we know how hard it is to modify your operations to ensure best practices and safety. We met the taproom manager, Dustin, specifically to express our thanks for how above and beyond his team was going to make the environment safe while maintaining a warm and welcoming experience. Whether you were dining inside or out, you could do so with confidence that every precaution is being taken. Cannot wait to return!

What an awesome place. You gotta cone out and check this place out. Such a gem in the mountains. The beer is top notch and the atmosphere make you feel, well, at home. The owner John is true gentleman in every way. He not only believes in product, he puts a piece of his heart in every thing he touches..
Hats off to you sir..
I would compare the beer to be better than any store brand I know of and I mean it. They use top notch grains and lots of local ingredients that show in the end result. Get in your car and take a trip to our little town that s gonna make a big dent in the world of beer.
Peace out..

Cool little brewery with a decent range of beers. The Buddy Board on the wall is a wonderful idea allowing friends to spread the gift of a drink without being there. The ambiance was nice and I particularly found it entertaining that there was an older tube tv playing a black and white western movie above the bar. Staff was friendly. Will return again.

Homeplace is *The Destination* brewery and restaurant in the area. Their beers are good, really good. The building has been restored beautifully, but the outdoor space steals the show. Grab a beer, buy a sweatshirt, and relax around the fire pit with your family and friends.

The new location is spectacular, and the pizza is amazing. The nachos and salads, too. Great selection of beer, and they have wine for us non-beer drinkers. John and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly and you can tell they live their work. So glad to have them in Burnsville.

Really charming, small town vibe taproom with LOTS of brews. Their IPAs are on point, and I like that they do a lot of low-ABV beers. Pizza from the food truck out front was tasty. The staff told me they're expanding into a bigger spot somewhere nearby, with expanded outdoor space. We're from out of town but look forward to coming back!
