The room I was given was. No pressure in the shower.
Hardly any water came, no shampoo was refilled. There was a view straight into a mountain.
It was admittedly one of the cheapest rooms, but you should be able to do a shower.
Perfect birdseye view of entire Oslo. Spacious, cozy and clean rooms, friendly and accomodating staff. Too bad their swimming pool area was closed when we stayed, otherwise this will be the ultimate getaway weekend.
Nice old style hotel, prices are bit high though and food not so good for the price.

Charming Old Wooden Hotel but all renovated preserving the charm of a place with views of madness.
Room very dated. Bed sagged. Pillowcase was dirty. We could not leave a window open, since we were downstairs, and everyone could enter it. Window could not tilt. This means no feeling of safety. Ventilation poor, making room very stuffy. Terrible view. We looked at a hill with weeds. Service in brasserie was very unfriendly. Waited 45 minutes for dessert. The excuse was that there was a large group. Finally dessert canceled. Breakfast buffet is good. Nothing good to say about this hotel.

Comments: Although it's located a bit far from the city, overall quality is 5-star. Great atmosphere, spectacular view from the hotel, excellent breakfast.
The room was cold. Tried to put the thermostat on full, but it didn't even get a nap in the room or the bathroom. The cold tiled floor in the bathroom is horrible. Said at the front desk, but replied that they had problems with some of the rooms. They did nothing about it. The receptionist asked if we were happy with the stay when I was checking out. Then I said as it was and he could do nothing but complain. This is too bad !!
Top location, standard hotel only no guarded storage option for bags or camera bag. A pity.

We have been a guest at the hotel for 2 nights and our findings are the following, The view on Mar. 350. height over Oslo is phenomenally beautiful.
But the price / quality ratio is far below par, food of moderate quality and very expensive.
The chambermaid, too, failed to clean up the room, forgetting to take the garbage that was already wrapped in plastic (packed by herself).

Amazing place! Perfect sunset spot, incredible food, super friendly staff, really comfortable accommodations. Made our stay in Oslo 10x better than ig we stayed in the city!

One to five stars. First night in Superior Room with a bed that belongs to the garbage dump. Bad not to have higher quality thinking. Change room for night number two - excellent. Goodwill presents for a night's ruined sleep and aching back, minus five stars. Could be better managed. As a very frequent Scandic guest, the hotels usually compensate for deficiencies considerably more generously. Gets 2 stars, could have become 5 ....

Nice place if you need accommodation with the best view over the Oslo Fjord from the top of Oslo. The hotel has very good food with cheerful and nice people working in the hotel.

It's all good, but I can't tell you the price of the laundry service. If you think it's free, don't wash it. It's ridiculous

Looks like the 90's. With the worst shower pressure I have ever had the misfortune to experience. The service we got with regards to our conference also left us wanting. Unless you need the best view in town, you can get much better.

A very nice historical hotel and restaurant with history back to 1890. The place has a fantastisk panorama view og Oslo centre. The location is very near Holmenkollen and the nice area Nordmarka that really motivate you to get out in the nature for a nice trip. The restaurant holds a high level with very good food. A nice bar is also available.
Only clear positive is the view. The meeting rooms are worn with bad chairs and not adapted to modern needs.

Fantastic hotel just 10 minutes walk from Holmenkollen Park. Although the rooms are not on top level I give 5 stars, as the nice staff and the very good breakfast the weather.

Nice hotel. I had a somewhat weird triangular room, propped in a corner, with no view at all (well, a wall). But the bed was great, room and bathroom were very clean and the breakfast was absolutely marvelous.
Fantastic view over Oslo. Great traditional design of the hotel. Service in the bar was not the best. Rooms are nice, but 80s design. Restaurant looked amazing, but we didn't eat there.

Old and worth seeing hotel. Nice and service-minded staff. Good breakfast with a good selection of fruit, vegetables, smoothies and freshly squeezed orange juice. Stayed in the newest part with 2nd floor suite, good standard. The older part and the pool area were marked by many good years. Restaurant had few dishes but what they had tasted good! Nice location, fantastic views!
This is one of the best hotels in Oslo. Even though some parts of the hotel are "old fashioned" the entire hotel oozes with charm and history. There is no hiding, that the hotel is the place to stay if you are into skiing, and everywhere you find artifacts from the greatest stars in cross country skiing. Although high above the city, you can get to central Oslo within 30 minutes using public transportation. The view is nothing but spectacular. I find the staff and service to be absolutely high class, and I can only recommend the hotel.

Excellent food, not the great gastronomic menu choice
I chose this hotel because I have had nice stays there previously with good breakfast. Breakfast is very important for me who is struggling to get enough food. This stay was very disappointing according to the breakfast. Just one type of bad-tasting smoothie, no salmon, no molds at all. No real goat cheese. Very small selection of meats. (And no liver patties) and the staff didn't replenish when it ended. Much else that wasn't ok as well. The room smelled of mold from the bathroom.

Location: good - above the city in walking distance to the ski jump and the biathlon track. As you have after the city visit a bit of peace to be in the evening or morning in nature - away from the hustle and bustle. Food is typical average buffet.
Only do the gym and swimming pool, but they're great!
Located about 5-10 min walk from holmenkollen metro stop( (15-20 min from Oslo city center), this hotel provides a great view looking over Oslo. A little bit on the older side but supposedly there is a new piece of the hotel behind the main building area. In addition, you can store luggage and other bulky items in the luggage room at no additional cost (life saver for us while we went on the Norway in a nutshell trip before returning to Oslo and the Scandic HP for an additional night).
Nice rooms, good kitchen, great views, pleasant friendly staff. 10/10
