Holmenkollen Park Hotel Rica Review

It's a very nice hotel with a great view. The Holmenkollen is only a fiew hundret meters away, that's really nice for a walk.

The staff was really friendly and attentively. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing.

Everything fine for the moment, but there was one point I dislike...The Spa. It was old, a point which isn't important, but it was dirty too. The whirpool bubbles didn't work, the sauna was also dirty and the oven smells like something burns.

I liked the hotel, but this was disappointing for me.

The view from the hotel over Oslo City is breath-taking!

Despite the gorgeous photo you see of the hotel we stayed in the new extension which is more budget friendly and obviously nothing like the beautiful old part, but is comfortable. The view is wonderful of Oslo and behind the hotel is the ski jump. The breakfast has a wide selection to suit all.

Is the place to live in Oslo. Norway The King Rama V had come to eat at this place.
Today Scandic Hotel is very beautiful.

Lovely hotel. Only downside...no air conditioning. We visited during the hottest season Oslo has ever experienced. We did have a nice bid wind we could open which afforded some coolness. No bugs. We left it open day and night. Great staff. Needed to ask for additional towels eveyday. The do not use washcloths as they do in the states. All in all a wonderful experience!!

Holmenkollen hotel

Onze bevindingen op dit moment van het scandic holmenkollen park hotel: onvoldoende. Geen airco op de kamer, niet schoon, losse materialen in de badkamer en kamer.
Onpersoonlijke uitleg bij inchecken. Onvoldoende informatie over het restaurant mbt menu, prijzen en tarieven voor kinderen vanaf welke leeftijden.
Kortom: sterke afrader voor deze reis
Het is hier echt te beroerd voor woorden. Voor de melding van slecht en bevlekte sofa bed wordt na herhaalde keren niets ondernomen. Verder is het hotel ook niet schoon, vuile vloerbedekking in de gangen en plakkerige trappen en armleuningen. Dit hotel nooit meer voor niemand meer...
Ook het zwembad is niet fris. Water is niet helder en er drijven haren rond.
De kamer die we hebben is voor gehandicapten: aangepaste wc, alarm meldkabel in de douche en diverse handgrepen. Geen ligbad.
Bij het ontbijt worden de tafels nauwelijks afgeruimd.
Ontbijt is slecht, zoete broodjes liggen over elkaar in een schaal, crackers zijn niet vers. Geen croissants. En bakken vol vis die ik wel lust, maar niet s ochtends als ontbijt

There are many spectacular views, but there is also a lot of fresh air. You can also buy a souvenir in a beautiful shop

The old part is lovely, but the rest was shocking, including the food. In addition, dark meeting room with poor ventilation and terribly uncomfortable chairs. Very disappointed after a top visit to the same place 10-12 years ago.

Great hotel up in Holmenkollen! Expensive in high season, but the machine worth a visit Something for everyone; couples, families, friends, you name it ... good bus / drink connections and lots of culture, something on the spot, a little further away. All this helps with the reception. Overall good service and good atmosphere.

Great hotel in fantastic location. They also have nice staff. Good food, but the beds are not exactly good to lie in.

A fantastic hotel service 10 out of 10. The rooms were great but I found them very cold especially in the evenings and at night time I was so cold I slept in my thermals.

Very beautiful place, large spacious hotel. There is free parking. Good breakfast.Large, spacious family No.282 overlooking Oslo.
Carpet with stains. Chairs, worn. We crushed 2 overalls with oil because the door handle was oiled with oil.

Great food and conference facilities. Room very comfortable if a little outdated.

Place with very well preserved nature and communal areas are always clean and with friendly people. The cost here is very high, food expensive but you can find coats with better prices than in Brazil.

The old part of this hotel is a former Sanatorium. And this part is beautiful. This is what you see on most pictures. But the rest is...end 60s, early 70s? Maybe modern at that time, but just awful and old fashioned nowadays. Needs a general renovation, from floor to ceiling - and the floors are really awful btw. Fitness center was very (!) small and totally crowded.

Grandios / Impressive anderst you can not describe it

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. The junior suite was just superb. The bed was one of the comfiest I have experienced, the mattress was bouncy and it felt like I was cocooned in it. The pillows and duvet were also luxurious and supremely comfortable. The room was totally sound proof and I can honestly say that I had some of the best nights of sleep there. The bathroom was generously sized, containing a bath and a shower, the water pressure in both was fantastic. The interiors of the hotel are stunning and give the impression of a scandinavian wooden lodge. The breakfast buffet, despite being a bit busy, comprised of typically Norwegian and European fare of an extremely high quality. The salmon, cakes and buns caught my eye in particular, as did the omelette/egg poach and waffle making stations. Simply wow!! The scenery from our balcony was just spectacular, like a wintry fairyland covered in thick blankets of snow. A fantastic hotel, would unequivocally recommend it to anyone staying in Oslo!!

The hotel offers a gorgeous view but the whole of Oslo

We got a room against a mountain wall. Extremely poor dinner buffet.

We met unfriendly staff at the front desk, got two rooms with double beds (ordered single), rooms were FAR from clean ( a lot of dust and hair in the bathroom) and waited more than an hour for our food at the restaurant. No compensation was given what so ever. I would not recommend this hotel. At this price, I expect to get way better service.

It is high on a hill, next to a ski resort. From the facade of the hotel we can see much of Oslo.

Great hotel with beautiful view. Room was clean, staff very friendly and polite.

The location is absolutely fantastic! But the hotel needs a refresh. Bad pressure in the shower and ice cold on the bathroom floor. The breakfast buffet was really good! Lunch and dinner perfectly ok. The staff service level was a bit like that. A waiter spilled coffee in the lap of a colleague without apologizing.

great views and location to see Oslo. food is great and sights are fantastic....visit here or stay on your trip to Oslo Norway,....well woth it.

Reasonable room on the ground floor, without a view. Because of this we could not keep the windows open for safety reasons when we were gone. It was very hot inside, I also had the idea that the ventilation system went out at night or at a lower setting. Little past glory. Good beds. Fridge present.

It's been a while since last ...
I remembered Holmenkollen park from the Rica days. Then it was great atmosphere, we did not eat dinner in the bar, we did not get rancid chilli nuts in the bar, they did not run out of drinks. All this we experienced now. To say the least, I was disappointed. The room we had was perfectly fine, but still worn. The service consists of professional people you notice, so it draws a star. Breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts I have experienced.

We had also ordered a massage and I do not regret it for a second. The only thing I have and postpone on it was that I booked for a short time (25 min) our masseur, a nice lady who was incredibly talented and professional at her fingertips. It is strongly recommended that you take the time to go down to the spa.

We will of course return to Holmenkollen Park hotel at a later date, we always have.

The hotel has a nice small room and the building is considered a heritage and its location at the top is fantastic and the food was good and many varieties were varied

I only had a meal, but the taste of the burger is not good enough to eat.
And the waiting time took more than 20 minutes.
