Great atmosphere but prefer Rising Star casinos slots

Love this casino! The area where the dealers dress up like celebrities and perform is so fun!

I enjoyed myself and friends I brought with me. I won that's a impressive on your part. Thanks for the opportunity to come and enjoy. Hostess help in hall when I was leaving. She seen my right knee start to give out. Help me to a chair.

Beautiful clean easy access. 2 complaints.1) everything on one floor.2) rude dealer on a table. I can't recall which but not black jack table. But I enjoyed my time here than the rising star.

Remember when Argosy was filled with happy people and the waitresses and waiters seemed to like their jobs and had smiles on their faces? Hollywood is nothing like it. My husband and I gave them one more chance to impress us and we left disappointed. When walking in to the casino, we were not even greeted.There were hardly any people in the casino on a Saturday night and before playing we looked around and just saw slot machine players with long faces. My husband made the comment that there were no cheers at the card tables either. Needless to say, we did not stay very long. If I am going to spend money at a casino, I at least want a happy atmosphere!

I was looking forward to a nice dinner for my girlfriends birthday. We decided to eat at Final Cut. We enjoyed the atmosphere and desert especially. The problem was everything else didn't meet our expectations. The steaks were extremely undercooked and side items were extremely over seasoned. The service was excellent.

We came for the sports betting and to have lunch. Food was acceptable as was the service. However, the cigarette smoke is horrible and it's EVERYWHERE, even in the restaurant. We were hoping to eat and watch some of the games we bet on, but the smoke was too much so we left.

Normally, I enjoy my stay here but this last trip. I Didnt have such a great room and the service in the restaurant was not up to their typical standards. I'm hoping it was just an anomaly.

Nice hotel room, bit of a walk to the actual casino. Buffet was good if over priced

The food was terrible. Disgusting! Overpriced! Terrible service!

Why a 2 out of 5?

Casino:
Bad: Rude attendants, slow slot assistance, 1 table of ultimate texas holdem, they despise you mentioning another casinos name, dirty eviroments and small drinks (12oz drafts only) and outdated ticket dispensing machines.

Good: The design and layout is very attractive. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Average payout. Free parking if you pay for a hotel otherwise it's a hefty fee.

Hotel:
Bad: No breakfast. (Hollywood grind is at 8am outside the casino.) What you pay for is not what you get. After the hotel charge, you'll get fees on top of fees and a fight for the last fridge which is also another fee. No microwave. No real curtains so it's super bright in the am. Paper thin walls. No internet for tv devices, like playstation, xbox, fire stick, etc. Over stuffed hard pillows.

Good: Semi clean and decent size rooms.

FYI - Bring a camera and leave it in your room. I felt as if my room had been gone through even with the private sign on the door.

I'm a non-smoker and the Casino is pretty smoky-- but I expected that; ther is a non-smoling floor. . The slots seem a bit "tighter" than many places I visit. They have a nice selections of machines and table games-- but no Sports Book.

We found the hotel be nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Food & Service at the Final Cut Stakehouse was excellent. The Buffet was not very good at all . . . overpriced and the food is not very good.

We didn't stay at this hotel and I didn't take my credit card with me to the casino, but somehow I have a 30+ dollar charge on my account. I've called everyday in a row left a voicemail every time and can't get a call back.

Don t go here, the security is laughable. Had someone threatened me at one of their tables.i requested a manager and never got one. The individuals threatened to take my money and chips. The trash from Detroit come and make this a bad place to play.

we stopped there for dinner at the 99 beer pub. food was very good. we ordered salads and wings. husband enjoyed his 2 beers. parking was a breeze, we didn't gamble.

The only reason this isn't a 4 is because of how smokey it gets. I know I'm a whiner but man I hate the smoke. Otherwise it's the 2ne best casino in the area.

Love staying here. Keep forgetting to get a marquee rewards card for the casino though.

Nicer, newer machines, don't know about the table games, limits too much for me. Clean, friendly, medium loose.

Always have alot of fun at the Hollywood. Enjoy playing the slot machines. Valet dept does a great job. Hope to visit again soon!

We prefer this casino over the one in Cincinnati, because it's not located next to the ghetto!

Machines don't pay as well as Miami Valley. Place looks better now. But machines are tight.

All of the staff were very friendly! I also won quite a bit @ the Blackjack tables!

Don't allow people from other states to have jobs or the jackpots. Horrible casino they should bring back the Argosy. If you don't like my review Hollywood Casino then change the status of being discriminative.

Enjoy my trips to Hollywood don't go as much as I used to since the comps are just not as good as they used to be

Clean nice casino with plenty of spots and table games

Only 2 stars bc in the middle of the night a man was able to use HIS room key and unlock and come in to our room. Def a reminder to keep them.doors latched!!!

Took my money as usual. Cant currently drink while playing games which stinks.

Worst casino ever, I get covid. The employees were horrible. If your that scared dont open. We obeyed everything yet, was policed like we were kids. Spending thousands and terrible. Waste of time. Will never come back. BTW, dealers were rude, I can deal with that

MISERABLE!!! No parking, terrible food, rude staff, and every excuse you ve ever heard. Literally Motel 6 could teach these folks some lessons. I ll NEVER come back here!

It's ok no jackpots, no bells. Just expect to lose.

It is very cleaned and people are so nice but you have to go through alot of smoke to get to non smoking area

Casino was nice, clean, and well ventilated. The staff was very unpleasant to down right rude, everyone seemed to be very miserable to work there.

Hollywood has awesome restaurants, a fabulous Hotel, a wonderful Casino and they also have a great music venue.

Birthday Dinner at Final Cut. Steaks are great, pretzel bread is wonderful, great service, and fun. Its pricey and not for those who want a quick cheap dinner.

Need benches in valet area while awaiting car. Service a d quality of food in sports bar sub par. Casino area good. Not a lot of patrons on a week night.

We only went for the buffet. It was pretty pricey for us but it was my husbands birthday. Nice atmosphere food was great. God bless

My wife and I go to Hollywood to have a great escape from reality and more times then not to enjoy and amazing meal at Final Cut (if you go to Final Cut ask for Mindy to be your server).The casino host are friendly and accommodating.

The check in at the hotel was unfriendly and misleading. We were offered breakfast coupons but the buffet was closed for breakfast the next day!
$15 charge for amenities like COFFEE seems a little too much.
The slots are just COLD! I play all over the country and never did I visit a casino that just takes your money...most places will pay.
The only thing that I enjoyed about the casino was the black jack tables. The side bets are good.

You, can smoke at a machine . But, not drink at a machine.

Been to this casino probably 10 times playing slots. $300 to $1000 dropped each time with no excitement. Bonuses are hard to get free play is almost non existant or s waste of time. Promotions and player benefits are basically non existant. No real benefit to be a member here. Hollywood casinos here and in St Louis or a waste of your time and money unless you want to pay a lot of money to eat something. That's about the only thing good about the Hollywood Casino. My suspicion is putting your players card in any machine is detrimental to your game. Some casinos give you some excitement during the game even if you do lose you enjoyed. the game. This casino just sucks the money down with very little teasers. 10 times without one chance of winning even a little of what I came in with tells me this casino is off my list. Close it down

The casino is not bad you will loose money or it was only me , the buffet was not that great for a steep price of $ 23 pp

Friendly folks tried to play a table game craps and had never played it before they all helped me out

While I didn't win, the casino was clean and all the staff was extremely friendly. They carded me which I enjoyed since I'm no longer a young pup. Great place to spend an on occasion win some money.

We had a great time. We have been to Toledo and Columbus and this is by far the best. Food is a little pricey but slots are fun and the staff are tremendous

Very good casino. Very good bars, clubs. I'm not a smoker and it doesn't bother me that smoking is allowed. But, at least clean up the cigarettes. Machines had ashes, ashtrays on them. It just looked dirty. Again, It doesn't bother me that people smoke. Just think the cleanliness was lacking. Also, some of the machines looked dated, especially in the non smoking area. I will definitely visit again, just wanted to pass my concerns along. Thank you.

I'll break this down to Casino, Final Cut and then the hotel:
#1 Casino; Clean, Energetic, Fun. We loved the staff at the Celebrity Blackjack tables, our favorite dealers are Missy Elliot, Taylor Swift and Kid Rock. They were personable, patient and fun.
#2 Final Cut Restaurant; Clean, elegant, expensive, good spaces for large parties. We've been to this restaurant for our 16-20 person company Christmas parties a couple times. Exceptional service the first time, however more recently we had Robyn and Angela. Angela tried her hardest and was polite. Robyn was reserved but knowledgeable: we had to wait a long time for any service. Had to get the Busser to track them down a several times. My filet was perfect, whipped potatoes and sauteed mushrooms were killer.
#3 Hotel; Nice front desk staff! Hotel floor smelled thick with Cigarette smoke. Hotel shower curtain was dirty. Bed uncomfortable; firm and terrible tiny pillows. Convenient to not drive all the way home after a party.
See you next year Hollywood!

A great place to play - probably the cleanest and nicest around area. Also has a great selection of food places.

Loved the casino and Boogie Night was around 4 to 4.5 stars. Love the music and atmosphere but hard to get drinks at the bar and hard to move around and dance. Nothing special going on tonight, just a normal Saturday night at the dance club. It really wasn't all that crowded. The bartenders are awesome. The customers can be rude and won't move out of your way. Drinks are a little over priced but in the atmosphere you are expected to pay it. Once again love the music and DJ.

99 Hops House is.such a friendly bar/restaurant that I feel very comfortable going alone; always end up talking with someone. Good food & I've always had good service with a smile. Employees seem to really like their jobs (in bars, buffet, casino, hotel,etc.) This is an easy place to just enjoy some time. Great gift shop too!

As soon as you enter the smell of cigarettes hits you right in the face. This was our first time here (Fri 4/28/17), and honestly maybe the last. We went to the buffet and the casino. The buffet was smaller than the Jack in Cincinnati, food was decent though. Then we went to the casino. The people are nice but the smell of cigarettes is so overwhelming - such a shame because it is a very nice place otherwise.
