Hollywood Casino Joliet Review

Great place for a getaway . Live entertainment and great food.

Love the new slots when they add them, they are loose slots when they are new. But after a while hard to win sometimes

This isn't a crazy awesome casino but you know what, good food, good people, and still overall a good time. It's always been my go to and thats not really changing anytime soon

The casino was nice and clean. Smoke free. But they have an outside smoking patio. Staff was all very nice. I visit here every time I'm in Joliet. It's hard to get on a machine you like because people get up and go eat etc..but they lean the chair on the machine so won't nobody touch it...which is rude when you're gone 20-30 minutes or longer. But other than that I like it.

Our visit sadly was quick and very winless but we shall return good times have been had

Harrah's Casino Hotel better they need to upgraded rooms they look basic way overpriced.

Prices are cheap. Be aware there are many deers next to the parking!

Plenty of semi parking. Safe hops house food is mediocre. I stay here everytime I'm in the area.

If you like to lose money it's the place to go. Has fewer and fewer amenities. Buffet has less and less to offer.

I booked a room at the hotel. Upon our arrival the room price more then doubled. Was not given the promos I was told I would receive at check in. Will not go again.

They have a bartender named Fatina there she is a con artist and liar who scammed a American in marriage for citizenship if you see her do not let her serve you and protest for a different bartender

Staff are rude, spoke about my father and asked what's wrong with him he can't hear. My response was no he cant. Management informed and they did nothing to correct situation.

Good food at lunch buffet...could use a bigger variety of vegetables, and shrimp for the salad bar.

Pleasant staff, cozy atmosphere. Slot machines were all locked :)

Came in to celebrate my sister in-laws 21st birthday. The staff was amazing, the place was neat, the bathrooms were clean and the drinks were delicious.

To be honest, I am not a casino going gambling type of guy, but after walking into this amazing gem, your life changes almost instantly, very clean well lit with amazing art colors and details, including all typesof activities, this place is a great hand out and meet up kind of place, high winning chances I heard too. If you haven't been... Get There!

Machines are getting tighter I remember winning mire often every month I would have a taxable sometimes more now they have them so tight it's maybe 1 t8ne a year and I'm a regular I go every other day

The machines are tighter than you can imagine I do not recommend this place

Hotel is clean, no greetings from desk staff. Outdated, no amenities, no wifi (first hotel I've seen in years that didn't offer wifi), Internet is via ether net cords (free) though I've stayed in four rooms and two of them had broken cords and in all the Internet lagged really badly. Definitely not worth the cost considering you're not near anything.

We ate at the brunch buffet on Sunday and everything was good. Great service and great selection for food.

The Friday night Buffet is way overpriced ,and not very good at all there was hardly anything at all on it. 33.00 per person was just insane.Golden Corral a little ways away is a much better choice.

We stay in the hotel . we took elevator up to our floor and door open and it smell like pot. Also notice there no police or casino guards in or by the hotel or inside of hotel.. None to be seen.. My wife and I walk through the dark parking lot to casino with a lot of money .. Didn't feel safe at all.. We went inside casino and ask were are the guards were at..they couldn't answer my questions.. Someone heard me ask the staff that question. They told me a week before we stay a guy got killed in his room in the hotel.. Look it up on my phone and it happen..wow.. Not safe there..they only care about the money you spend in casino only..

Best place to visit for the money if you like entertainment this is one spot I recommend you visit

I recommend the steak house it was alot of food and very delicious..the staff were amazing...now I didnt win but I had fun ...most definitely be back!

Easy to get to , huge area for entertainment purposes especially near the gaming machines , good security forces watch out for people who are there and no problem with parking lot , and free soda=pop and or water too , employees are nice and always asking you for a mixed drink , escalators and elevator easy to use employees also watching out for handicapped people who might need help .

Great to good since Vegas is so far away. Close by to have some fun and still be home for dinner. Like the no smoking thing in Illinois

Easy parking and the ambiance of the hotel was good. Staffs were service oriented and did accommodated me well. The room was clean too.

There's too many boomers wasting my tax dollars & losing everything except for their only remaining arm.

This place is nice and clean. Small in size but the slot payout is very generous(+90%). However, this is the first casino that I've been to that closes. They shut it down at 5am.

Went for the Buffet the place itself is very pretty it's made really nice, staff are friendly & courteous the Buffet was alright

In my opinion this is the best casino in Joliet. It does not have slot machines jammed close together as some other casinos. Roomy, good air circulation and clean

Tight slots. Dark in video poker area. Vulgar mouths all around,cussing repeatedly. Got a bit old. Clean and great staff.

It's a good place to go. At first we weren't sure the wife and I played upstairs on the slots and lost 300 then we went downstairs and it was a different world. We 1 all our money back and then some. Plus we saw a lady win $4,200 and then another 700 and then another 300 and some, On the same machine. Not to mention the roast beef sandwich and au jus dip was absolutely phenomenal it's a must-have!

Pretty good casino. Always wish there were $5 and $10 blackjack tables.

It's good just had a better option down the street for what I like.

Rv park clean and spacious sites. 15 minutes before we arrived they called to let us know the dump station was down and out for week and half. We came to visit family had to cut our stay short. You'd think they would have a backup emergency
plan. Call before you arrive

Fix your beverage station. Out of order for three weeks, and blaming it on Coke company. If it was fixed they would have got an additional star.

Had a really good time seeing a friend's band play at the 99 Hops area in the casino. I had never been out there before. Very nice place! Loved seeing all the vintage Hollywood posters etc around. Service was good at the bar. I didn't order food but everything I saw looked and smelled delicious. The band was great and people had a really good time dancing. I thought it was nice that staff cordoned off a dancing area so that people could dance without being in the way of staff and other guests walking through.

Don't explain how levels and perks work. Machines are pretty tight

Clean environment. Slots was not hitting anywhere in the casino the two times I went in there. TIGHT.

This is a well maintained property, clean with friendly staff. If gaming is your favorite pastime you will enjoy visiting this location.

Great local casino , awesome sports lounge with a huge sports screen to watch games

I visited the Final Cut. Expensive, but the food is good.

Over-priced food : Sat buffet $25 for Dennys' left overs. Needs better food, entertainment, decor, payouts, smiles, waitress outfits, music, etc, etc... Managers and chefs need to travel cross country and visit other casinos.

Seating arrangement isn't right if I have 10 people coming and spending money at the 99 hops bar and gambling I should be allowed to RSVP

Spur of the moment date night at thee old "Empress riverboat"/ Hollywood Casino.

Do not play with the Table supervisor if her name is Lisa. She was inconsistent with calling and disagreed even with the other employees at the table on calls Roller was on a hot streak, called a seven out that fell on the table. Everyone on our side of the table walked away. I ve played craps multiple times usually love it even if I end up losing, I have a great time, not the case this time.

EDIT: I had a manager reach out to me and personally reassured me that he addressed this issue. John was very understanding and helpful.
