Hollywood Casino Columbus Review

Loved it! The poker room was nice with some decent tournaments.

Casinos are pretty much the same as far as gambling goes. Zen noodle is a welcome addition to the fast food offered at their 24 hour diner

Had a great meal at the buffet which cost us veterans nothing. Thank you Hollywood.

It's always a good time. They have table games, as well as all of the slots you could ever want. It stays in good shape and clean.
Not in a very good area but security seems to be good. I would still be extra cautious and be aware of your surroundings.
Plenty of parking both covered and in open lots. I will visit again.

A fun relaxing gambling casino for family in friends in the Columbus area.

VIP New Years 2020 party it was in a separate area that you had to buy tickets to get in live band, buffet, 5 drink tickets included in the price mixed crowd between 35-55 maybe a few older folks but it was classy and well put together

Slots are WAAAAAAYYYY tight!!! Drink service extremely slow, and overpriced, and they adjust table minimums at their whim and perceived advantage! For example, the website advertises $5 blackjack.... Guess what... apparently not at the beginning of the month/during holidays when they're anticipating larger crowds! Suddenly their advertised "$5 black jack" and 90% plus of every other table game becomes $10 or greater minimums!!! This means for the newer, more exotic games like Mississippi Stud and Ultimate Texas Holy Em', a minimum of $30 to play each hand, $35 to include the bonus bet! At the expected average of 20 to 25 hands per hour, ONLY the house is winning!!! Nooooooo of bueno!!!

It was great I think. I do remember the alcohol was good.

I didn't win anything, but all of the employees that helped me were very sweet. The customer service person who gave me my Marquee card was very respectful. I really enjoyed myself.

Atm robbed me. Didnt dispense my 300$ or give a receipt. However, it took the money from my account. I tried calling the company who owns the machines. No good. Had to dispute through my bank. I know there are cameras showing this is happening. I hope whoever is envolved in this scam goes to jail forever! This sucks! I can't get any more money at all today from an atm cause it says exceeded daily amount. The thing is it didn't give me my money at all!!
Im also not the first person this has happened to. Read on down I wonder who all is involved in this scam!!

Good food, great atmosphere.If I had won anything,it would have been perfect.

Food was good, service at the bar was fine as well. However I get the feeling this place has employees who purposely rig the games. Obviously it cannot be proved but when certain players come around and play the games wrong for high stakes and give the dealers $25 tips it feels wrong. Especially on blackjack. I would not recommend playing at this casino, go to Cleveland or Vegas. Columbus seems to cheat.

I won! But then I lost. And then I thought I was on a win streak but then I lost some more. Lastly, I was give the illusion that I was winning when I was actually losing......then I bought some cake.

Slot machines are very, very TIGHT!!! Not just for me but for every one around. There machine was as if they were turned off not to even give bonus games. It was HORRIBLE!!! At least allow me to win $40 because 9/10 I'm going to play it back anyways!!!!

It's a casino in a tougher part of town with not a lot going on around it. Inside casino is nice, clean and entertaining. Plenty of tables with high minimum bets and only 1 or 2 with lower minimums but they fill up fast and stay full(on weekends). Drink service is very slow almost non existent even when playing. This casino is nice to get the quick Vegas feel once in a while. The Final Cut Steakhouse inside the casino was really delicious. Steaks, crabcakes, lobster bisque, salads, mac&cheese were all wonderful. Bottom line is you go to a casino to gamble. You lose or win money. You eat and you leave. You get to do all that here.

I dont go to this place a lot. Chances of winning here not in my favor

Its okay here, nothing spectacular, and some really unpleasant customers; but they can be ignored if you dont play trending games. Not enough of the newer machines. Three outdoor smoking areas, two with slot play. A lot of table games, slots, poker, and food choices. Nice staff and ample parking - indoor available.

4 of us went to the final cut to celebrate our friend getting a hole in one. Food was great 6 bottles of wine Eric our waiter was spot on with everything he suggested. They were smart enough to put us away from other diners because we were loud and we were happy for our friend. Thank you all for letting us have fun.

Save your money and go elsewhere. Staff is rude, untrained and unintelligent. Run by morons for your barely legal crowd and those who don't know any better. This casino shouldn't last much longer.

Hollywood Casino is a great attraction to the Columbus area. I only gave 4 stars simply from lack of knowledge about casino's. I enjoy video slots; and am certain I would have had a wonderful time at my first visit if there was a coach or tutor ( so to speak) to assist in navigating the $5 free giveaway just for registering. I did not partake in the buffet as I had missed the early buffet @ $13.99 as opposed to the dinner buffet @ $20. Yet still; overall, this is a great place to go and unwind. Please remember; gamble responsibly, your family needs you more than that jackpot.

Not a safe place to play in the pit (black jack)area.
No plexiglass seperation,no does not comply with the covid19 safe distance principle .
They should be shut down

Amazing food at all restaurants but watch your order at the Chinese one they screw up a lot and tell u they gave u a refund on your credit card then they hope u forget. It never comes. Otherwise the place is great concerts machines slightly too expensive human tables for poker or black jack which is my game. Place is like a mini city event rooms like boxing too I'm going hopefully to see fight in a month. If u go to the Chinese place tell em Glen wants the refund that he's been expecting for 3 weeks.

Casino is fun, just don't ask for assistance. Casino Hosts are scarce....even if your an Executive Producer. Haven't seen a Host in well over a year. Most staff at the cage, even VIP section are rude.

This place is interested in money only. The employees seem as though they were just released from prison. Everyone i had contact with there all displayed an antisocial attitude and were verbally combative. Just wannabe jerks

Probably one of the nicest looking places I've ever been into in columbus, great place to work. Typically a nice place to come at night, people are watched over very carefully and are taken care of very well take 2 is a great 24 hour fastfood place to get a bite to eat for not a too expensive price and a lot of people do win but that being said its a casino so not everyone is as lucky! Fun place to go clean friendly staff helpful people easy to park great location

The Food they serve is decent and overall not bad,but the service while friendly is incredibly slow. My wife and I routinely wonder if our food order got lost or will be cold when it finally arrives. Hands down the slowest service ever! Furthermore, to make matters worse the chances of winning money at this Casino is slim to none. Truly, if I didn't get Promotional money I would never go to Hollywood Casino. However, just to be fair, Scioto Downs Eldorado ( The other casino in town) food is lousy and the chance of winning money is worse.( If that is possible) The State of Ohio needs to step in and Audit Hollywood Casino and Scioto Downs ( If they really care) and seriously expose these places for what they really are..., Just an Old fashion Ripoff

Just love going to this casino. The people are nice and they make you feel welcome.

Played the slots and tha big wheel , unfortunately not a winner.

Excitingly fun. Clean casino, friendly employees. Lots of different kinds of games and variety of costs. Go with a budget or you could easily spend too much. Not just slot machines, they have cards, dice, and roulette games also.

Will not take call on for the 1/2 NLH game. Had to wait 40 mind after arrival.

Tight slots expensive drinks. Bad combination. Clean though.

Lots of places to eat. Prices are reasonable. Lots of table games. Big casino compared to Toledo. I give Columbus Hollywood one star over Toledo.

Not the nicest people, I didn't feel welcomed there

Firstly, the table minimums are raised and lowered too frequently.
Secondly, when placing bets on the crap table, my bets were mistakenly given to another player. I believe the constant changing of dealers creates the problem because each dealer "sets" the bet slightly different, enough to cause confusion. Appallingly, informing the dealers on the mistakes usually results in animosity. It happens too often in many of my gambling sessions.
Finally, a pleasurable gambling involves having a "rhythm" and a strategy to minimize losses however too many mistakes in pay outs results in having an unpleasant experience and lost winnings. I know you should keep track of your bets but to have to do it so proactively makes the gambling experience more like work than pleasure.

Disappointed in Hollywood as its not all about Luck. Wanted to use a quiet area in Buffet to. Have a meeting, but it is closed, along with the Steakhouse on certain weekdays. So we sat in the OH which is pretty noisy but nice.

All clean, neat, and staff great but tables too expensive to bother to play for someone just wanting to have fun. $5.00 a hand come on.

Don't love gambling, but the the staff were great and facilities were clean. Won money....also a plus.
