Holly Hill Health Care Reviews

A close family friend was admitted to Holly Hill for rehab. While visiting her once, I noted several residents in the community area were in almost a comatose state in their wheelchairs. Nurses aides would give them a cup of liquid and pill and leave. I thought perhaps it was just necessary medications for their particular health issue. Later it became apparent that was not the case. Their nurses' practitioner dictated what meds each should be given instead of listening to the family's suggestion. This poor woman walked into Holly Hill and after about one month was "kicked out" because "she could not be rehabbed any further." The truth is Holly Hill medicated her so heavily, she could not even feed herself or walk by the time she left. She is now in the hospital in a downward spiral and I believe much has to do with what happened to her at Holly Hill. I would highly discourage anyone from utilizing their facility. They actually should be reported to the medical board.

My mom came to Holly Hill initially for rehab after being in the hospital for over 2 weeks with multiple health issues. The staff and admin were super kind and helpful. After couple of months, we realized that she was not improving to go back home and will need to stay for long-term care. She is happy where she is as she is getting the help she needs. We are confident that she will be well taken care of. The owner is so wonderful and a true godly-man. A BIG shout-out to mom's morning nurses at West who look after her and who are very observant of her health and always keep me informed.

Nice staff, nice nurses, the management leaves a bit to be desired.

Couldn t feel more comfortable leaving my Grandmother at Holly Hill!! Everyone is caring and loving and treated her like she was their own family. We plan on my Mom going there as well when the time comes.
My Aunt was in the rehabilitation at Holly Hill as well and she loved it. The staff got her up and running in no time, she actually wanted to stay longer. I always felt confident leaving after a visit with my Aunt and Grandma. It s nice to know when you leave there your family is taken care of and safe!! Thank you Holly Hill for your kindness, care and knowledge of care we received!!

If I could give it zero stars I would. The staff there is so rude and apparently if a patient wants to lay down on their own right, they say no and was very very rude to outside people.

I would like to thank the staff at Holly Hill for all there hard work , My father-in-law has been in the facility on and off for many years and our family feels like the atmosphere is as close to home as you can get while getting the attention and therapy that he needs. I ve noticed much expansion to the facility showing the success and support families have been given under the roof at Holly Hill healthcare residence.

Within a year I had two family members that had to stay at Holly Hill for rehab. I can t say enough about how wonderful the staff was. So kind and caring. Went above and beyond to make sure our family member was ready to go home and resume their daily routine.

My Great Aunt resided at Holly Hill for a short while before her passing. She consistently received quality care, physically and emotionally. I loved how there was so much for her to do there, she was able to develop a new community by engaging in all the recreational activities that Holly Hill had to offer. In addition, the staff was kind and informative with myself and my family. Though it was hard to see my aunt s health deteriorating, it was reassuring to know she was placed somewhere where she was receiving the best care available.

We ve had the opportunity to have 3 family members at Holly Hill- my father, my father-in-law, and my grandmother. Although they were each there for a different set of needs, one thing never changed - and that is the unbelievable care they each received. The love that is expressed at Holly Hill, whether it s through the nursing staff, medical staff, housekeeping, administration, activities, dietary, rehab, or maintenance, is what sets this facility apart from the others. It s a genuine love that comes from a servant s heart and a strong desire to work in health care. There is special attention to detail, which makes all the difference in the world. They each expressed how happy they were to experience the Holly Hill way . On behalf of my family, we are very grateful to Holly Hill for serving others the way you do, and we offer our most heartfelt thank you .

My husband and I could not be more thankful to the staff at Holly Hill Healthcare for the exceptional care extended to our family members during their time spent at your facility. Everyone was deeply committed to treating our loved ones with dignity and respect. Your team of professional and compassionate employees attended to our needs, listened to our concerns and provided care in a clean and safe environment. We appreciate everyone s positive attitudes during times that can be very challenging for the patients and residents as well as their families. Thanks you.

A great facility, wonderful staff, very kind, caring and compassionate. My mom is there for long term and she loves it. It wasn t an easy transition for us, but the staff there were very helpful. They always go above and beyond and make every effort to make the residents feel at home. We experienced that with my mom. She loves it, feels comfortable and loved. Great place and I definitely recommend it.

Visiting someone who is special to me is always enjoyable. Furthermore, the staff here seems so nice, and the building (even BEFORE the updates) is attractive and welcoming.

On behalf of friend, Karen L Mansi, I am writing a review of Karen's stay at Holly Hill Nursing Home( recently renamed Ohman Family Living @ Holly). Karen came to Holly from Cleveland Clinic main Campus to rehab following surgery. Karen has ALS with bulbar effects and cannot speak or swallow. She came post surgery for j-tube insertion, and recovering from sepsis. Frankly ,she almost died.
Here at Holly she was surrounded by caregivers dedicated to restoring her to hope and renewed strength. As Administration, Physicians, nurses, nurse aides Therapists Activity staff, Nutrition Services and yes housekeeping and laundry too came to her aide, Karen was given a new lease on life for sure! Karen is a kind giving person who appreciated the enormous kindness and service she received at Holly,as did her family.They stated how impressed they were with the home like ,comfortable surroundings that helped one relax and feel cared for.For anyone who needs caring health services, a stay at Ohman Family Living @ Holly is an experience that will be life giving, and just like for Karen an encounter that will be cherished. My grandma came here for rehab after a total knee replacement. The nurse aides, therapists and nurses went above and beyond to help her recover and get stronger so that she was able to return home. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

Holly Hill provided excellent care to our mother Barbara while she was there. They have a very professional and qualified staff that maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy while ensuring that residents of the nursing home receive the highest level of care. I would recommend them to anyone.
