I am a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer. I represent only injured individuals for serious accidents. Because trial is very expensive, frequently risky, and contains so many unknowns, mediation is a good way for both parties in a dispute to get into a room together and talk candidly about the strengths and weaknesses of their respective cases. The mediator they are hire are top notch. WHat does that mean? That means that the mediators have expertise in litigation, are personable and make the litigant feel comfortable with the process. I am a fan of this facility because the odds are stacked against the injured individual in court because of many law lobbied for by the insurance industry. For example, did you know that a jury is not allowed to be told that the at fault party has insurance coverage which cover the damages verdict. The reason for that rule is that insurance companies want the jury to think that the at fault person will have to pay the damages out of their own pocket.

I doubt the fairness. I think they tend to side with large organizations which have the potential of giving them future business. Being a commercial place they appear not to pay much credence to the individual's case.

Doesn't even deserve one star. This place is a joke the "judges" are so bad and bias. They are not fair, they are totally unpofessional They do not follow the law they follow the $$$$$. Run from this place especially if u have an inkling of a relationship with the opposing council, it is not ur imagination... Do ur homework, do ur research, u will be better off for it....Over priced, pompous and incompetent...

If you are forced into Arbitration Know this: You often are suing a large Corp. This is a fraternity, the judges, both sides (Atty's), JudicateWest all rely on these suits for large incomes. If they rule against a large Corp. the money flow STOPS to the above 3 since both Atty's must agree on the judge. It is a "rigged" system and they make the rules and the state knows this.
