This place is magical! Our experience at The Holland Hotel could not have been better! Every employee went out of their way to serve us and their service, as well as every meal we had there, was excellent! We brought a group of 21 for a desert wedding with no idea what Alpine would hold. The beautiful, authentic Holland Hotel and the kindness of everyone there, completed our SW Texas experience! Thank you, and I ll be back again someday!
Historical era decor and architecture with modern amenities. Staff friendly and caring when historic snow and ice storm Uri overtook the south!! Inviting lobby and patio western style. Comfortable bed and pet friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay. .

We stayed in the jacuzzi suite and loved the charm of the place so much that we came back for another night! Staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable! I definitely recommend this place!
Very friendly to dog guests! The patio was closed due to expected stormy weather, and dogs aren't allowed in the dining area. We could eat in the lobby, I was told. This was not as bad as it sounds, rather than outcasts, I felt like an honored guest. The historic lobby is beautiful and there is a big banquet table in the center. That became our dining table. Katilynn gave us attentive service, a unique experience.
Each room has its own feel. The energy is INCREDIBLE. And the aesthetics are out of this world.
Quaint hotel, more like a bed and breakfast with current staffing
Stayed here 4-12-21. It was a little strange to check in and have no one there just envelopes w keys left on the desk. Room was clean, comfortable. It s not a new hotel so there is some dating to the hotel. We faced the back of the building. It was quiet. The courtyard was a pleasant place to read in the evening. Nice sitting area and pool table if you don t want to stay in your room. Bar/restaurant was closed. Much of alpine is closed on Monday.
Very cool old hotel in Alpine. The building was an old hotel and then an office building and then vacant for a while. It's been restored and looks great. The rooms are fine but just cool to be in an old hotel. The lobby looks to be decorated like it was in the early 1920s and is a great place to sit and hang out. There's also a cool hotel bar and restaurant with an awesome outdoor patio, courtyard area to hang out.
My wife and I had a fantastic stay at The Holland. It s a very nice hotel with great history and plenty of charm. We stayed in the Crow s Nest room and it was great! The room has a small window balcony, but the big attraction is the covered patio with a phenomenal view of downtown Alpine! COVID protocols are still in place as of late Apr 2021, so some amenities such as breakfast are still shut down, but in the evenings the restaurant with bar in the lobby is open. Overall, I love to stay at The Holland next time we re in Alpine.
