Would've been more than happy to give 5 stars...however, the staff in the ski/snowboard rental area needs a huge attitude adjustment!
Holiday Mountain doesn't hand out poles. There's no explanation why they don't...unless you engage in an argument with the rude teenagers behind the counter who will promptly respond with one word, snarky responses with a side of sassiness.
They do still have poles, but some of them will lie and tell you that they're not there. Some will tell you that they only have different height poles...or you may be granted poles depending on who you deal with.
So - good luck in the rental area.
Save yourself the aggravation and bring your own equipment and enjoy the amazingly priced lift tickets.

We did the snow tubing and it was not fun at all. My son hit his head as he collided with another tuber. Medical staff did nothing except yell at tubers for all taking the lift at the same time. We rode the snow tubes 3 times and our kids got bored. Don t waste your time with snow tubing here. Also snow patrol lady kept yelling at the non white kids and was sweet to the white kids as they got off the lift. I complained to the staff and they did nothing except apologize.

Holiday mountain is a good place for family fun all year round. Personally this year I have went in the winter months, when most skiers are out on the mountains. The mountains are nice and large which is great for people who want to take on a challenge. There is also a smaller bunny hill for people who just wanna have some fun or are a novice at the activity. The resort also offers tubing which is quite fun and good for smaller children and teens. The rates are about 20 dollars per person for 2 hours and rates vary based on the time of year. For summer months the resort offers things like bumper carts and birthday parties for children. Holiday mountain also has a medical center for any injurys that may occur on the premise and ski rentals for people who don't have their own. The cafeteria offers a wide range of warm and cold options including broccoli soup which is quite good.

Horrible!!!!
Don't waste your money in this place. cheap and very old equipment and above all a very NASTY staff and manager. The place is open to take your money and that's it. They offer next to nothing with an attitude. Take my advice and go somewhere else to enjoy because here you will not.

Should be renamed Holiday Killer. Just plain Depressing. tubing run is $20 , would be more fun playing in traffic. Then at the snack bar they not only charge 5cents for empty cups but charge 50 cents for water.

A hidden gem located in the Catskills. Great place for younger kids, they have the opportunity to learn on an easy slope. Reasonable priced classes and individual instruction. Over three intermediate slopes. A fun filled experience for the whole family. Great Catskill Hospitality. Friendly staff, good food and knowledgeable instructors. Also offers Family Tubing. I would recommend this as by far the best learning ski area for Kids and Families in the Tri State/NYC Area...

Holiday Mountain had a very nice entry level. funny hill. It is a great place for beginners like myself. It has a conveyor belt to take you back up the. funny hill. There are no ski poles, so bring your own. The tubing area was a little sad. We skipped that all together.

My friend and myself ended up skiiing here after visiting Ellicottville. The trip was unplanned but the resort was more than accommodating. They found us clothes from lost and found and Jayna even dug up a coupon to save us money on lift tickets. Will definitely visit if I'm ever in the area looking for some snow time.

Almost a one star... except it has the potential to be a great place. The slopes are family friendly and great for beginners plus advanced. but the customer service is AWFUL and only getting worse.
we take a group there every year and are treated like a nuisance. you would think we weren't paying.
worst part: they started having their regular tubing closed when we come with some lousy substitute with almost no incline and only two kids at a time. and this is when we pay in ful AND made advance reservations for 30 tubers. and then theyre shocked when our kids are disappointed. :( :(

I love coming here as an easy beginner mountain where skiers can learn to snowboard and vice versa. This mountain has a nice feel to it and I love coming here after going to a big mountain like Hunter or Stratton.

we did the 5-9pm slot for skiing. Everybody was very helpful unlike reviews below. We had our ski rental equipment on within 10 mins and skied all 4 hrs without waiting in line anywhere.
If you care about ski time, this place is by far the best I have been to.

The slope is very small. It is not kids friendly. The staff on the slopes were smoking and drinking beer. The management of slopes was not good. Kids got to go up the slope hardly 5 times in two hours.

Snotty staff. We called to buy tickets in advance but the day of our visit. Guy on phone rudely informed us we were supposed to call the day before. No where on their website or phone message does it state that, guy . Only 1 slope open. We will spend our $$ elsewhere

Do yourself a favor and go when it's snowing.

Do yourself a favor and go when it's snowing.
Don't go in the summer?
What I'm saying is that I don't really like mini golf, but if that's your thing, go for it.

+1 "Benefit of the Doubt" star, because I haven't even tried to get on the go kart track. Maybe that's where the magic's at.

First of all, this is a small ski area, so if you are an advanced skier looking for a wide variety of challenging terrain, look elsewhere. What Holiday Mountain is though, is a relatively inexpensive place to enjoy a day of skiing, especially if you are taking some new skiers with you. Recently took five others with me, two of them first time skiers, for a day of skiing here. With the 2-for-1 deal from their Facebook page, it was under $300 for 6 lift tickets and 6 rentals. Try that elsewhere!

For the beginners, there is a magic carpet and small slope at the bottom of the hill where they could ski safely and learn without "braving" the lift, or being on a hill where they would be placing themselves in danger.

Despite the pretty abysmal winter we've been having, including rain, they've done an excellent job of snowmaking and building a good base.

Given the great prices, there have to be tradeoffs, and here it's the rental equipment. Things like poles and helmets are in sparse supply, especially if you show up later in the day, and the skis aren't exactly in like new condition. That said, they were safe and the edges were good, which is all I really ask from rentals.

All in all, this is a well run facility that offers a great day of skiing without breaking the bank.

Holiday Mtn is a GREAT place for kids and families. Friendly, small mountain. Good service, friendly staff, value priced. It's not Killington, but it's a great place for families and especially for little ones or beginners. Night skiing is a blast, tubing park, never any lines on lifts. Been skiing there forever and it's a great small mountain!

Nice place, but Wristbands are only active until 1 hour before closing, should definitely be active until closing. Also they don't have enough operators. On woman was juggling 3 different rides and some attractions are only open if you ask someone. My overall opinion, they should reinvest some of their profits to make improvements. One being an A/C unit in kiddiezone.

only 3 hills. small medium and large. the small and medium one are for beginners. very small mountain. one lift. expected way more slopes for the amount of money we paid. $40 for adults. Just to get on the lift.it was cool to see kids racing in a competitive ski team. the tubes were not even considered hills. i don t even know why someone would pay money for that. however the soup was good in the cafe. i just didn t expect for everything to be so small

I read some nasty reviews here! Listen folks this is not Killington! This is a small local ski area. It has a 400 ft vertical, it's a small friendly place frequented by local families.
Perfect for beginners and kids.
The people who are leaving these nasty reviews should have done some research before they went sking.

Really boring the tubing was trash you go down 1 mph, and the snow was fake so it wasn't an enjoyable experience, they also don't help you learn how to snowboard and don't help you when you ask them.
