Holiday Inn Express Barcelona - Molins de Rei / InterContinental Hotels Group Review

My almost new genuine Gucci perfume was stolen by the cleaning staff during room service. The staff at reception weren t helpful and only gave us an email. After a few correspondence with the hotel as well as the central office, they said their staff didn t take anything which meant we were telling a lie! They don t respect their guests and have very poor customer service dealing with complaints. They say that they are not responsible for valuable items and we should have put them in a safe box. Think twice before booking this hotel unless you can magically put all your stuff in a little safe box!

Comfy room. Standard service. Breakfast a bit weak. Water pressure weak too.

It s a typical Holiday Inn Express, although it is away from the city centre, there is excellent an excellent train bus infrastructure which are very frequent and and cheap. A T10 ticket costs 10 which caters for 5 return trips or combination of metro bus and rail. They take you straight to the center of town and only takes 30 min. You can leave your car for free at the hotel, which is highly recommended considering the price of parking in the center of town.

Great hotel. It is very good, price wise but I have to say that the staff are really nice and the place is far better tended to than many others higher in the price ladder I have been to. If you're going to Molins de Rei and the neighbouring area for business (this is my case) I see no better option

The hotel was nice and they had a very good breakfast. My only suggestion is that the hotel use cab drivers that don't overcharge. It's a hotel close to the airport and only 20 minute ride. The hotel said a cab ride would be about 35 euros. There was an 7.95 supplement before the meter started and when we got to the airport the meter read 36.95. the can driver charged us 44.95. He said each back pack was 4 Euros. The driver was also quite rude when we asked about the charges. If the hotel doesn't provide shuttle to the airport it should see least call a cab driver who doesn't overcharge.

Very good hotel. Good food and awsome service. Sometimes things get stolen or lost. But overall pretty good hotel.

Had a free night on my reward points so decided to go here. The hotel is close to the end of town which is a little industrial

Having said that staff were really friendly. Room sizes were good enough. Bathroom was a good size and everything was clean

The closet to hang up your clothes was fine for one or two nights but was not overly large

Wifi was probably was of the best I've used for a while in a hotel we were able watch Netflix no bother

A great plus is that breakfast is included. A note to English visitors - breakfast was cold
Meats, rolls, cheese and tortilla along with a selection of sweet pastries. I say this because there was an English couple who only ate toast and marmalade so I am guessing they were expecting a fry up!

Having said that I really enjoyed the breakfast

Regarding dinner you'll either need to ring for a takeaway or go into town as there are no lunch or dinner options in the hotel

Parking was free although there is also free on road parking

Overall a great place for the price and close enough to Barcelona centre

The front desk people were very helpful, especially Frederica. The room was comfortable and clean, albeit the walls were pretty thin. For the first two nights we slept great. Our last night there was a Friday and we were kept up by the dance club next door until 5. Even with the window closed the noise was loud. I was glad that was our last night there because I was exhausted and don t think I could handle another night of not being able to sleep.
