What a find. Our first trip out for a meal and a drink after the lockdown - and it was superb! Staff very friendly, smoked salmon with juicy capers & all the trimmings was delicious. Very well stocked bar with great selection of gins and whisky. V tasty fish and chips. Spacious, restful and relaxing. Great garden area too. We ll be back!

Crowne Plaza is a highly variable experience, from modern and luxurious to dated and shabby. This hotel is definitely the latter. Parts of the common areas, like the reception are up to date but the rooms are old and scruffy. My room was huge but with a bizarrely tiny bathroom. I felt like I was stepping back to the 1980s - for example there were no power sockets next to the bed. The TV was too small to be seen from the bed.

On the plus side, the free Internet was excellent and there was pay and display on-street parking right outside the hotel.

We stayed here as we were going for dinner and the theatre nearby. The hotel did not disappoint! Close to everywhere we were going, the staff were helpful, welcoming and accommodating.

I had called ahead earlier in the week to arrange for flowers to be put in the room. I was going to propose to my girlfriend. The concierge (Scott, I think) was amazing!! He helped me out and sorted out the most exquisite floral vases for me. It went down a treat and worked.. she said yes!

The room was fantastic. Comfortable, clean and quiet.

All in all, a perfect experience!! We will be back.

Situated in the east of the city but only a 10 minute walk or so from Princess Street, Crowne Plaza is a pleasant hotel to stay at. Rooms on the front of the hotel have fantastic view towards Leith.
Rooms have the necessary amenities for a stay. Nice restaurant with a lovely outdoor terraced area.

Such a beautiful hotel to say at while in Edinburgh! The view from the rooms are beautiful too! The style of the rooms is so pretty! The breakfast was Top Notch! The hotel staff are So friendly! The hotel concierge s were the best of any hotel I ve ever stayed at! There are lots of restaurants & thugs to see in the area. The castle is a bit of a distance, but not too long by cab.
I would definitely stay here again!

This is my first time in the capital of Scotland. I am very pleased with the place I came to today. Very atmospheric hotel and certainly everyone who finds this place on the map of Edinburgh will meet with the same feeling. Simply beautiful

Very nice hotel. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Scott the concierge was stand out, helping with finding a mobile scooter for one of the party. We had dinner in one night and breakfast on three days. Restaurant Service was good but serving hot food on cold plates for dinner and breakfast let things down. We found the hotel to be ideally located for Princes street being about 10 minutes walk from Waverley Station.

Went for a meal with a voucher. The starters and desserts choices are great, what you d expect from a good hotel, but the mains were standard choices, steak & ale pie, fish & chips. For starters we had salmon and crayfish salad and Triple pork dish, both of which were very good. We then had steak & ale pie and vegetarian dish mushroom & spinach risotto which was better than the pie. The wine was fine and Innes & Gunn gunpowder bottled beer enjoyed. We shared an Irn Bru cheesecake too.
