If you want your child to prosper at HS Secunda, make sure he or she complies with the following requirements:

1. Your child must excel in sport, preferably rugby (because girls sports don t really count). Academic achievements are a nice bonus, but in no way a priority or a requirement.

2. Your child must be a Christian, after all, as HS Secunda s unofficial slogan says n Christelike balans is jou sleutel tot skukses ( A Christian balance is your key to success ). This may to concerning to some, since this is a public school, and, as such, may not favour one religion. Non-Christians aren t forced to take part in mass prayer, but are branded by other children and teachers, often as Satanic .

Also, donations are always greatly appreciated. Many prefects' parents have made substantial donations after all, and the school will show it's support in any way it can.

To any children who do not meet the above requirements: keep your head down and work hard. Life gets better.
