Hmaa are experts at collecting fees. They are total failures paying out claims. Terrible!!

Not helpful and insurance tried to charge me premiums even when they did not provide me coverage at that time. When tried to resolve it was difficult and time consuming.

Don't get sick if you are enrolled in HMAA.
They will terminate your policy if you are unable to return to work after 90 days from date of illness. Even if you are still under doctors care.
HMAA will collect all the premiums, but when its time to pay out they kick you to the curb.
You need the medical to get better so you can return to work. But they don't care.

I would put a negative but it won't let me. I have no problem with the place, but I do have a problem with the insurance. It is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I've had a problem with almost every prescription. The cost of it compared to HMSA is by far very high. On top of that the paperwork and the process of getting your prescription is a headache and a half. When I call them to find out information, I get no return phone calls, I even wait 2 days.

I had always been with HMSA so I was reticent at first to change to HMAA but am now a HUGE fan. They are responsive, have the same doctor network as HMSA and have a bunch of cool perks that our employees really like
