I accompanied my daughter's class on a school trip here. It's a cute little place to visit. Our favourite thing was making homemade candles. Take a step back in time to learn how the people worked, shopped,, played and lived in pioneer times.

Richmond Town to me never disappoints, I just love the history! Tonight I took what I thought was a ghost tour of the Black house. While I have to say there was absolutely nothing scary about this tour-for $10 is was entertaining, and it amazing the knowledge the people who work there have. We actually got there early and had dinner from one of the food truck. Not my favorite, so I am not mentioning it. But Edgar's ice cream is the best way to kill time before the tour!

We brought the kids trick or treating here the weekend before Halloween. My daughter had a great time and they did the whole town up really nice for the kids.

The actors were all very friendly to the kids. I suggest if you're a local and have not visited Richmond Town I suggest you do. If you're from out of town its definitely worth seeing if you have the time. Schedule a group tour and I have done the ghost tours. They are really fun.

It's a really nice area. Good for taking walks out hanging out. It's a good spot to play Pokemon Go. Lots of pokestops and gyms. There's also an Egger's here now so you can get ice cream too. Lots of bugs around here because of all the trees though so bring some bug spray.

Haven t been to here since I was a young boy in elementary or Jr. high school but it popped in my head when talking with a coworker about his wife making things from scratch with the Amish community. This place was a blast 20+ years ago when I visited and from the reviews I see it still must be a fantastic time. I really need to go again. Historic Richmond Town definitely left a mark on me in the best way possible. I can t imagine any kid not loving this place. Just makes you see what life was like hundreds of years ago in the original 13 colonies. Great place for kids, history buffs, or family outings imo. Btw stop over at Cookie Jar after or before you come here. Two great reasons to go to Staten Island.

In the heart of Staten Island, Historic Richmondtown is a must see for history buffs and those culturally curious. This displays a much different side of Staten Island and plays host to MANY great events for people of all ages.

A great place to dive into the history of small towns. And the way America lived then. With an excursion, visit the house, the guide will tell and show everything. There are few houses, the museum is average and capacious. Definitely worth the trip from Manhattan (2 hours to get here)

Such a wonderful place & now Eggars & the outdoor concerts.
Used to feed the ducks but then the Episcopal Church forbid it. Thought isn't it odd that it's ok to turn the church into a haunted house for Halloween?

I use to love going to the County Fair until it became a " steal your money event" and just for advertisements for real estate's and Verizon...? I dont need a plastic water bottle from them...I agree w Dave Vinci on this one, but Richmond town also taught me to love old english and European history from a young age and that gets 5 stars Only. I've moved off the island years ago because of such rotten attitudes that live there, and found its alot different and calmer and cleaner and nicer in other places but u only realize this once your gone because at the time u think it's great because it's all u have...I only come back to be disappointed to see how badly it changed from good childhood memories to what's it become and how flirty it looks as a whole, so so sad!!!!
