We love going to Nickel City. It's cheap and we have tons of fun for 3 hours.
Had a blast playing mini golf as a break after a long road trip. Fun, clean, great fun!
They can't seem to keep raising the prices and the snacks that they offer are extremely expensive but what we have in Albuquerque I guess you can't complain but I guess you can't complain they raise the amount of tickets that you need to get any of their prices and you can go and purchase those prices cheaper than you can win them but what price do you pay for recreation.
Kids will love this place. Adults will too but the prices are somewhat steep. The paintball field is large. The VR games are cool.
Kids had a great time...so much so they turned into brats when it was time to go
I used to take my kids here quite often because it was fun and affordable. We hadn't been here for maybe 6 months. We bought 50 dollars worth to play and were finished in 20 minutes or so. They need to change their name to 5 dollar city. A lot of the games were 100 credits, which is 5 dollars, outrageous. The cheapest was 16 credits, .80 cents, that was to try and win a itty bitty candy worth maybe a nickle. The claw games were impossible to win. The claw wouldn't shut all the way. One was 100 credits, 5 dollars, and had these cheaply stuffed animals, worth maybe a dollar. My kids use to play for a good 2 hours before and actually get prizes from the claw games. This time they were very displeased with the visit, as was I. We'll be taking our kids to chuck e cheese or Peter piper pizza instead. This trip was an absolute waste of time and money for the price. Use your money elsewhere. Don't be enticed to frequent this establishment by the name. NOTHING IS A NICKLE AT NICKEL CITY.
Great place to spend with the kids or adults. Has paint ball, arcades, gocarts, movie theater, food, and more
We love Hinkle!!! Much better than any other family fun center we've been to in the past. Excited for a return trip.
Hinkle is a great place to take the family for an awesome day. Staff is all very friendly, and the rides are fun. The special after 6 for half price all attractions is well worth the money.
So many activities from wall climbing to bumper boats. Great place for family fun. Pricey though so keep an eye out for specials.
I liked it. We had fun. Good for kids. Wish more games in the game room and cost was a little better. At Chuck E Cheese every game is one point. Here some are like 28, 40 all over amounts ect.
As far as arcades go, this is the best one in town for kids aged 5-10. Best ticket winning odds and prize selection.
Very fun place! My favortive place, I had my 42nd birthday there and had a blast!
Took my family to the mini golf. It was a lot of fun.
Loved laser tag and go carts. Not too expensive. So much fun!
Great family oriented place some what costly but lots of fun!
Paintball was really fun, had a great day. A little expensive and unfortunately it didn't cover any other of the attractions.
Awesome family fun and delicious pizza my grandkids loved it
Nice people very helpful with my daughters birthday party need more affordableparty packages for birthday partys very pricey
A lot of fun for families. Great experience. Quite a bit to offer between the two buildings.
The staff here was friendly & helpful w/ any questions we had. My family & I had a great time.
My daughter's been there twice for her birthday's in she loved that every time
My whole family loves it, but you have to spend a lot of money on credits to get a prize actually worth it. Either way it s a fun and cool place to go, the laser tag is my fav!
Hello, I d like to stay anonymous but I wanted to contact you in regards to your facility and workers. I currently have a child who is employed at Hinkle Family Fun Center, and starting off the job we were both excited for my child to get the opportunity, because I thought it was going to be a great experience, I m starting to regret my decision. I think you need to have a serious talk with all of your employees and inform them that they are at work and in an business environment! My child said they get treated really badly by some of the coworkers my child has worked with. I don t think it s acceptable to belittle someone, especially someone who hasn t worked there for that long, and treat them as if they are stupid and don t know how to do anything. They are barely learning sometimes it takes someone a little more time to catch on to things. My child has also mentioned about all the drama that the coworkers have between each other and that it just makes it a uncomfortable and negative environment to work in, and my child feels as if they don t fit in because of the hostile and rude coworkers that she has to work with! My child brought to my attention that almost everyone they worked with has said that they want to quit their job because it sucks and that they curse a lot, even around guests! Please talk with all of your coworkers and let them know that all of the negative, rude, and bashing needs to be put to an end thank you!
It's a fun place for a family that likes games and rides. It's not to expensive and if you find out the down times you get to ride more rides and not wait in line. Best for children ages 3 to 103. Unlimited ride passes are the best.
Great places for kids. Wide selection of games and prizes along with multiple rides.
Fun with family an friends.go-kart rules are to strict in my opinion.they have bumpers on the cart it self. But bumping is not allowed.1st offense is a warning,2nd is your banned from the karts for 1 hour. Not bad but if your like everyone else an you have friends or family along then your sitting on the side for a whole hour.
Lots of choices for entertainment from air hockey and miniature golf to virtual reality and paintball. Everybody should find something fun to do here.
Too much fun!! Great for all ages. So much to do!
Needs better prizes for kids who get tickets under 800 then the cheep ones they have can't even get a bear with 600 tickets
I love hinkles theres always something to do there and its fun for the family but! The prices are too high! And bizzare... I would rather go to Round 1 and Bowling...
I took my 9 year old for his birthday. It was alot of fun! I had a vegie cup for a snack. Didn't know they would have that. It was good.
Only part that we enjoyed was Laser tag & Mini golf
Awesome place to take the family. Rock climbing, go karts, bumper cars, lazer tag, 2 arcade rooms one in the main building and one down stairs in the lazer tag building this building has VR stations and bumper cars, paintball, and a movie theater. So there is a lot to do. It was my first time there. It was really good. Even more fun with the family!!!
This is the Ultimate Fun Center. It has the best Arcade, Go Karts, Battletech, in all of New Mexico. Has helpful workers, cheap prices, and a really nice atmosphere. It is great.
Lots of fun, for families. A little pricey but you will have a good time.
Easy way to blow money fast. Games are expensive but kids will love all of it.
Pictures speak for themselves just an amazing place with amazing fun associates. Thank you.
Local family entertainment spot with something for everyone. Spread across 3 large buildings and lots of outdoor acreage, it features: a large main arcade with snack bar and banquet facilities for special events, (which includes attractions for smaller kiddos) on-site catering; 2 outdoor miniature golf courses (18 holes each) as well as go-carts, bumper boats, climbing wall, a paintball compound with outdoor courses to accommodate any level of player, a smaller 2nd arcade (Nickel City) which has a snack bar, indoor laser tag and bumper cars housed in the same building with it. Look for coupons before you go and it will be quite a bit more affordable!
What a blast of a place to have a birthday party! Super attentive staff that kept the pitchers full and cut and served our cake for us. Shelby was awesome!
Went mini gulf with hubby and our little one. It was fun and prices were okay but could do better. Had fun until it got crowded.
The rides are fun. The arcade is overpriced though. Buy the day pass to have fun on the rides
This was my first time going with my daughter & grandkids & I now understand why they were so excited to be going back. It is so much fun for the entire family. All the associates were extremely nice & helpful. We had a blast; will definitely be going back!
Love the go cart. Mini golf is great too. Didn't really try anything else.
The Hinkle of old is gone.
It's a stark contrast between what was and what is. Throughout my teenage life Hinkle's Nickel City Arcade had been a place you could play games, not just for tickets. It was this arcade that first started my love for Gauntlet, DDR, and Soul Caliber. Here I felt that the employees weren't just employees. They were part of the Hinkle family. And when I, the customer, walked in it honestly felt like you were immediately accepted into this family. It was a regular occurrence to be able to play games with the employees (partly them testing games and partly them being on break). And when I was thirsty they were willing to let me pay for the pitcher size for soda (usually reserved for large parties) so myself and my siblings could drink together, in party style!
... However, this Hinkle of old, a family that included the customer is no more. To me, it is surprising how much typing that statement out hurt.
What remains are the ticket machines and the attractions. Yet even these are a shadow of their former selves. While it used to be normal for ticket games to cost 4 credits (20 cents) a play, it is now hard to find one below 10. To be fair, there are 4 arcade-style games left, however I have lumped these into the attraction category because playing them rapidly reaches the price of the real attractions (3D, laser tag etc). For some reason the arcade games cost more than many of the ticket games. Where in the past $5 (100 credits) could let me play DDR for 1-2 hours, now I found myself using 300 credits in 20 minutes...
This was not the only difference. Looking at the employees I quickly realized that the Hinkle family no longer existed. Instead I found people for which being at Hinkle was only a job, nothing more. The Hinkle of old is dead...
... The Hinkle of old is dead. But it's memories will always remain with me.
Great place for family fun we took advantage of the summer night discount of half off unlimited after 6pm and had a blast. We ate before we came but the food looked amazing, will definitely be going back in the future.
Great time! The bumper boats were kinda slow. Not all of them but a couple were slower than the rest.
We purchased passes last year on Black Friday which was nice bc it was about 1/2 price. At regular pricing it is a little pricey.
I get that in the arcade the cost of the prizes has to be covered but we would be fine with playing more and no redemption option.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean place as well.
Great miniature golf course that's very scenic to look at as well as great indoor games!
They are always need of maintenance and janitorial work. Inside is very dark. Prizes are ok. They just got updated games though.
