I spent a week here on business. The room was well appointed, clean, comfortable, and cleaned very nicely every day. I needed to make a slight schedule change and they were very helpful and polite, and I do not speak Dutch at all. The location is great and I was able to walk with luggage from the train to the hotel and of course around town to dinner and my work meetings.

Really great reception service on check-in and amazing room on the high executive level.
All needs seem to be catered for. I'll add to the review after the stay but the first impression and reception puts one in a relaxed state of mind.
I'm adding to my review: this is an excellent hotel and I could easily stay here anytime I'm in town.
Slight lapse: the Cote de boeuf at 65 euros was advertised as 800g but I nearly got 550g with the giant risk of a bone. If they could clarify this then I wouldn't have got this cut but gone for the platter which has a large amount of meats.

The staff at the front desk staff were very welcoming and quite helpful when deciding what to do during our one night stay. The Roots bar was very nicely decorated and also have very charismatic weight staff. There was a female bartender who had just moved there from UK and was very excited to share her view on the city so far and also point out some things. The cocktails were also well done in the bar. The executive lounge was very peaceful and well done offering a nice selection of beer and snacks. They do offer valet parking.

This Hilton hotel has been designated a Monument and both the outside and the interior are an example of Dutch post war design. The rooms are average sized and very well appointed with a good working desk and coffee/tea making facilities. The water pressure in the bathrooms is good. The junior and regular suites are really nice and on weekends not much more expensive than than a regular room. The Executive lounge on the ground floor is very spacious, has the usual lounge snacks and drinks as well as some space to work. The Hilton breakfast served in the Roots restaurant is good, they make good full size omelets. You can also order waffles and other items not served on the buffet. At peak times the breakfast area is very busy so come a bit earlier for a peaceful breakfast. Hotel and restaurant staff are very friendly, help full and professional. The hotel has a small qym and there is limited on site valet parking. (if full there is a public parking garage 50 meters down the road. The hotel has a 5 star location in the middle of the main shopping and entertainment area of Rotterdam, also well located for both tram and subway public transport and the Rotterdam central railway station is a 10 minute walk or 1 stop with public transport. The location and the quality and design of the rooms plus the great staff makes this one of my favorite hotels in Europe.

Really comfortable hotel in a good location to the train station and the highway. Also highly recommended as an event hotel, everything was well organized. Room and restaurant were also the standard. Small drawback to my desire for vegan alternatives in the restaurant the staff seemed a bit helpless and not really motivated .... that was a bit of a pity and I would have expected in a hotel of this standard in a European metropolis also not so. For all omnivores but a good varied cuisine.

This place stinks. First, internet. Pay internet? I haven't seen that in years. The Hilton people said that it's clearly stated pay internet on their website, but I told them my company travel people probably didn't even bother to ask if there was free internet because it's such a given today. There are several hotels at half the price within 50m of here that all have free internet. FYI, there's a couple of McDonald's in the area that do have internet free, so you can go to McDo instead of Hilton. Unbelievable. Nothing in the rooms. No coffee, no water, no nothing. Dated accommodations/furniture.. And not terribly polite service. The only positive is that it's in the heart of the city, but - like I said - there are better, cheaper options. They're trying to live on the Hilton name and uninformed customers.

This Hilton offers quality services and amenities.
The bedrooms are spacious. The bathroom is well organized and clean.
The concierge staff are knowledgeable, courteous and available.
The breakfast buffet is generously stocked. You will find everything you need for a continental breakfast.
I do not put a fifth star for 2 reasons:
1- the mattress is too hard,
2- traces of glass were present on the furniture in several places when we arrived, which bothers me for an establishment of this level.

Nice hotel in the centre of town, it is only a 5 minute walk from the station. Make sure you get a room in the renovated section of the hotel, and as an Hilton elite member you will get to use the executive lounge which has a nice evening offering

In comparison to the Hilton quality standard I know, this hotel cannot quite keep up. Although the room was modern and clean, the bed was not as comfortable as one would expect in a 5-Star Hilton hotel: there was no slatted frame but a simple plywood panel under the mattress. Furthermore, the entrances were closed at night and the hotel was only accessible via ringbell (maybe due to COVID-19 restictions). Also, parking is quite expensive at $30 per night.

All in all, an average hotel in a central location

The hotel is very well located directly in the city centre, so that most things are within walking distance. The high floor rooms are pleasantly large and offer a beautiful view of the city. The staff is friendly and courteous throughout. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, everyone also wore masks, although this was not currently required in the Netherlands. Breakfast was served at the table instead of a buffet, for which two combinations were available. However, special requests were also easily met. Only a status upgrade was not granted, although rooms were available. I had considered to deduct a star for this. But as it might not be relevant for many travelers, I abstained from it. Altogether I can only recommend the hotel.
