Food and drinks were great, and plenty of them. The room we were in was a bit cold, 62 degrees. Most of us wore sweaters. The chairs were a bit hard but ok. Technology was great, very few wifi issues.

One of my top 3 hotels in PDX. Cheap in the winter, a little overpriced in the summer... but staff, rooms and overall experience make it way worth every penny. In a perfect world, they wouldn t charge their guests the price of a Motel 6 room just to park your car each night (it s up to almost $50/nite + tip(s)), but oh well. Still 5 plus stars IMO.

Great location, terrible service. I called the front desk at least 5 times and they kept putting me on hold because they were busy assisting someone else. On top of that, the TV did not work at all and there was no help to fix it.

Once I got the right room, the stay was excellent. The four stars is due to the fact that when I first checked in, I was given a room with two queen beds right next to the elevator instead of the king that I requested and I had to go back down to the lobby and request a change. As a minority person who is used to be discriminated against on restaurants and hotels, these fine details matter to me.

This is the worse service I HAVE EVERY GOTTEN You can wrongly TAKE MONEY OUT OF MY DEBIT CARD WHEN YOU DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION. You are taking advantage of Disable and poor people your hotels double charged a person that is living on SSI. You will admit to making the mistake but you say it will take us 5-7 days to put it back in to your account. It took you one day to take my money and screw up our life. Because Hilton owned Hotel took down wrong info in the first place. This was suppose to be a mini vacation given to us.Not a nightmare when I got home because of your staff's mistake. Are family did not want us to stay at a $58.00 motel we should have stayed there at lease they would have only charged us once. And The room may not be nice like yours but this would not be happening. I have tried for two days to get fixed. All I got was a run around left messages no call backs. I understand that $351. is not that much to most of you. to us it's a quarter of our income. no part of your business will stand up and say I will fix this right now because of your error my rent check bounce and our insurance for our car bounce That is over $100 of our money that makes $451 I am missing.Your mistake has cost my family possible our house and put us out on the street. The emotion stress you have put on me is unbelievable. I am expecting Hilton to call me and fix this now. you took the money on the forth here is the 8th and we are being told 5-7 business day from today. I will be posting this comment on every Hilton- Hampton hotel sight you have and any other hotels that belong to your corporation. TIME TO LET EVERYONE ELSE KNOW HOW YOU TREAT THE LESS FORTUNATE PEOPLE. You have my phone number Hilton you should be calling back and fixing this even if it comes to pulling it out of your own pocket. Iam sure that is not even 1 hour pay for some of your upper management.

Great location! Lovely yet small rooms. Friendly staff. However every time I come here something is wrong. The first few times the gym wss shut down and under construction. I don't even ask about it anymore. This time around got here around 1pm and the hot water was scheduled to be off until 8 pm. Which for the record they were very apologetic and tried to be as accomadating as possible which was a nice buffer.
If you are a light sleeper (like myself) this might be a struggle for you because you can hear EVERY TIME someone next to you or above you uses the water. The sink, toilet, and shower. It is so loud. Not to mention the street noise. I had to check to see if my window was open. (It wasn't) I am definitely not well rested and annoyed how loud it is.

This hilton felt high class. Revolving door, 20 floors high, etc. The bed was fairly firm, so I had great sleep. For the first time I had a texting system that helped me check in and out. That was a good touch.

We stayed here at the beginning of January. It was our first time in Oregon. While we were there the hotel was under construction. That was fine though and wasn't an issue during our stay. The location is perfect if you are wanting to do a lot of things downtown. It is within walking distance of resturants, parks, places to shop and more. We ended up doing quite a bit of walking, and it was wonderful because we got a feel for Portland and got to see a lot of different sites. Also if you need a taxi there was always one close by the hotel. As for the hotel some of the staff members were stand off..ish. Not all of the staff members were that way, but the ones we came across that were rude we definitely kept our distance. Besides that our room was very clean and enjoyable. There was no do not disturb sign in our room which would have been nice, because one of the days we wanted to sleep in. But housekeeping continously knocked on the door which is understandable. They were just trying to do their job, but having the sign would have been helpful. Overall our stay with the Hilton Portland was good. Can't really complain the hotel was nice and the room was comfortable. Some of the staff members probably forgot to drink their coffee that morning, but for the most part everyone was kind and polite. I would recommend the hotel to others, and because of the area I would stay there again.

Nice hotel in a good location. If you are having a meeting this may be a good hotel. The lobby is good for working. Sometimes it can be alittle dark on a cloudy day. Overall, for the money it's a good hotel. Rooms are decent and they have coffee and other food places nearby

This review is for the bar in the lobby of the Hilton in downtown Portland. I went there last year with two co-workers during the busy holiday season. We had just served at a large corporate party with over 300+ people at a nearby country club. We were beyond exhausted - it was the only place open for blocks and we just wanted to sit and have 1 drink after work.
We sat at the bar about 40 min. before closing and during that time not one employee made eye contact with us. We were completely ignored the entire time we sat there. It was clearly intentional. Obviously the bartenders and servers were tired and wanted to go home; however, the entire experience really bothered us, especially having just been on our feet working for about 10 hours. It made me never want to support the Hilton in any way, shape or form after that. I've had relatives come into town to visit since then and I've distinctly advised them to stay somewhere else.

The room was dirty when i checked in. The sink knobs had smudges and the shower was dirty. On my second day, I came back to the room after being in Portland all day and there were no towels in the room. I called the front desk and waited for an hour for towels to be brought up. I would never recommend this place.

Room service and the front desk never answered when we phoned, the breakfast for two was a breakfast for one, but with two forks available but only one glass of apple juice, the champagne that was supposed to be waiting for us didn't show up until an hour later, and the chocolate strawberries we ordered were nowhere to be seen. Lovely place, though.

We stayed here 2 weekends ago it was okay. I give it a 3 star for my first experience due to their tiny hotel rooms, and for not having a pool option. No sure if it was under renovation or what, but they have a sister company right across the street (The Duniway Portland). They could have easily given their guests the option to use their pool facility--I've seen it done before. The booking rates per night is $199 and above, but I was able to get a discount through my work. I only paid $140 per night so I wasn't totally bummed out with our stay :-).

The architects went a little too far on their floor plan design in order to maximize the number of rooms available for booking (ya think?). The rooms and bathrooms are ridiculously small for the standard king or double bed options, which are the literally the same size. I'm glad that the receptionist who checked me in, asked if it was okay if they placed us in a standard king room. I agreed and was very glad I did because that gave us more walking room. That space would have been taken up by another bed had we stayed with the standard double beds :-o.

ON THE PLUS SIDE, the room comes with a huge 72" or so flat screen TV and comes with a number of channels and movie channels, which was great. There's also a small coffee maker, a safe box. We also enjoyed the high quality travel sized shampoo/conditioner, lotion, and bar of soap. The bed, linens, sheets, and comforters were also higher quality. I was a big fan of their towels which had two patterns. It felt soft and comfortable on the skin. I was surprised how quiet and sound proof the room was (or maybe we really had quiet neighbor all around). We were also next to the elevator and I didn't hear a peep from it or from the people riding it up and down. The lobby is spacious and elegant. There is also a lounge section for chillin' with comfortable seating. There a huge bar and restaurant at one end, and a workout room at the opposite end which had several treadmills, steppers, cycling machines, free weights, and a yoga section with mats.

ON THE DOWNSIDE, it doesn't come with complimentary continental breakfast or a refrigerator (which is not ideal when you have kids). And, like I mentioned earlier, no pool! Say what? This hotel is NOT IDEAL for families with kids. It's really meant for business trips, singles, or couples with no children. With regards to the PARKING, they offer valet parking for about $38/night. Luckily, the location is in downtown so there are parking alternatives. There are a couple public parking garages one or two blocks away and of course, the good 'ol first come first served street parking (feed the meter), yay!.

We opted out of the valet parking and used the public garage parking (Lot #212) on SW Salmon ST & SW Broadway. Over night parking is $16 which beats the valet parking rate. The garage is equipped with security cameras too which gave me a peace of mind.

The only things that make this hotel ATTRACTIVE is the location! It's smack dab in the middle of downtown and walking distance to so many restaurants, coffee shops, donut shops, bakeries, attractions and shopping. If you wanted to travel even farther without using your car, ther street car stops within a block or two away from the hotel. There's a McDonald's a block away for cheap, fast, and affordable breakfast (since breakfast is not free). There's also a Rite Aide and a 7-Eleven two blocks away which is open 24-7. That was a lifesaver because I forgot my contact lenses case and was able to buy it there, yay!

Our stay was okay, but I think we'll try The Duniway Portland next time, which I heard is better all around.

Not a fan of not being able to park but the hotel was nice overall, the bathroom was a little smaller than I'm used to. Everything was very clean, not to mention the lobby, gym and restaurant were above board.

Location is good and property is well kept. Staff is friendly. Restaurant staff is good but menu is limited. Food is good, just not a lot of options at dinner. If you are Diamond level dont expect anything special. No upgrades, no lounge, and little to no recognition. Not my choice of hotels for Portland. Lots of other choices in the area at comparable price and better treatment of frequent guests.

For a Downtown hotel where you are paying high end prices, the rooms leave a lot to be improved upon.
Our room had a sliding door that was falling apart.
The bathroom had no ventilation, water buildup on the celing and a toilet that was awkwardly located.
Still there was a massive smartTV that allowed you to use Google Chromecast, that was a nice surprise.

I did enjoy the amazingly large fitness center. If you like to workout as part of your hotel stay, then you will be very happy with this choice.
The main lounge did offer lots of seating and space to spread out.

At times the elevator wait was painfully slow.
Nice hotel to workout in the gym, but yeah the room accommodations were disappointing.

Conveniently overpriced

Conveniently overpriced
Went for a conference, so at least it was paid for.
Went to the in house restaurant, the cheapest item was a $17 hamburger up to a $75 rabbit plate (a play on the name).
Hard pass, but it was clean, quite, decent/good temperature pool.
Crappy cable was... totally limited.

it's a Hilton conference center. if you're looking for a place to rest your head and have some food, go across the street. it's cheaper, also a Hilton and has better service.
the only reason to stay here is if you have to for a conference and need UPS to easily ship your things. though beware cause the hotels ups "station" will charge you a handling fee if packages are heavier than 10lbs.

Hilton staff did a wonderful job fulfilling my particular needs (providing photographs of Kyle MacLachlan in my room). They were also very considerate to remove the 13th floor from the building before I arrived. I was able to relax and I had a great time!

This is the iconic American hotel luxury hotel chain that Paris Hilton has thoroughly and totally made a bad omen to stay at - but everybody at the staff works like a well-oiled machine - except tje bouncers outside - they seem like their too nervous and really need to throw somebody on the ground like they are on hot pepper steroids - other than that seems and probably is as nice as it seems on the outside as well as inside

They tax the heck out of you in a tax free State. Parking $32/night. They charge for everything - internet, food even coffee. Bar closes at 11pm on Saturday night! Restaurant OK if you like pasta - that's all they serve. Staff indifferent to complaints of room problems. Many rooms are overlooked. Room no bigger than a standard comfort inn and not worth 3 times the price. Refrigerator missing. TV difficult. This is a 3 star hotel charging 5 star prices.

Coffee shop closes at 3pm, which wasn't great bc I was at a conference in this hotel and could've used coffee and snacks. Bar closes hilariously early - 11ish? - even though, again, there was a conference going on and like 25 of us were there looking for beers. Not sure why you would offer conference facilities but not keep your amenities open for the conference goers?

Room was fine. Location is great.
