Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Downtown Review

Clean, comfortable and close to good food. Everything we needed

Perfect stay for concerts at the nearby CHI Health Center. Rooms were clean, staff was exceptional.

We stayed one night at this Hilton and got charged $250 and was basically called a liar. They said we smoked in the room. My husband has COPD, is on oxygen, and uses a nebulizer 3 times a day and we don't smoke. I've called and talked to the assisted General manager twice but still nothing has been done to resolve the issue not even a call back. I'm a Hilton Honors member and this has been the worst experience ever!!

Great location in downtown Omaha. Very easy to get to from the airport and closely located to Omaha's Old Market containing excellent food choices. Easy access parking with an attached parking garage.

Stopped by for a few minutes while giving directions to some out of towners, the place looked great

This place is OK. You do pay $15 extra for parking FYI. The lobby is big and nice.

Most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on n the pillows r trash stayed at alot of motels seriously disappointed

Shouldn't have to pay $15 a night for parking when you're already paying $130-$150 a night for a room.

It's an HGI. Good location, great staff. Ladies working the breakfast room are super nice and helpful.

The rooms were great. Microwave, fridge, and coffee makers in every room. Beds were good and comfortable. Room service was fast.

We only visited the locations during our walks to Old town markets. The staff were friendly, the interior clean. It was a hot day and we forgot sunscreen. I asked the driver if they had any for sale and sure enough, they did. They didn't turn us away just because we weren't guests. We were greeted at the front desk, pointed in the right direction and helped during our quick purchase. We used the sunscreen right there in the lobby. They didn't chase us out with sticks or tell us to go anywhere else. Yes, I was prepared for the worst, and the limited interaction we had with the hotel was surprisingly nice.

Hotel was close to the downtown market and easy parking. My room had a terrible smell in the bathroom and loose tile as if there was a significant water leak that caused damage to the floor. Smell was musty and dank. I might consider staying at this Hilton property again only if needed.

Rooms were clean and finem. But our restroom toilet was bad, and our internet was so weak that our phones kept trying to connect to the Marriot.

Shuttle service downtown was great, very friendly. Breakfast seemed expensive with not a lot of options, and the lady at the front desk acted a little offended when we didn't eat there.

We had a lot of trouble with organizing our reservations. At one point it was cancelled. Breakfast is very good!

Unfortunately with the change in management there is no loyalty to a school that has been coming down to state wrestling for over 12 years at their hotel after they overbook their property. All about money! Sad.

Hilton Garden Inn Downtown nice as usual. Location is great!

After our wedding my husband and I stayed here - our 'getaway. Hotel staff has been fantastic!

Quiet Hotel. I was also able to make good use of the business center.

We went to the restaurant. Frozen food and dated decor will assure we never visit again.

Attentive staff, clean facility, and modern rooms. Visited during College World Series, so things were BUSY! Every employee I encountered went above and beyond to make my stay a pleasant one.

From start to finish even though our stay was short, we could not have envisioned a better stay for our anniversary. The check in process was easy and the staff were beyond considerate and helpful. The suite that was provided to us was beautiful and beyond expectations. We had a great corner view of downtown and was able to watch the sunrise the next morning. The location was excellent as well as once we parked, we were able to easily walk around the downtown area for our entertainment. We had the breakfast buffet the next morning and the staff there was extremely kind and helpful as well. And the food was delicious! Check out was just as easy as check in. Our anniversary was made very special by the care and attention this hotel offered all around.

A nice hotel, but pretty expensive for what it was.

It was a just a few blocks from the old market area which had lots of stuff (bars, restaurants, shops), but there was also other hotels in the immediate area.

I might look to find a better priced hotel if I stay in the Omaha area again.

Better than Hilton Omaha. Provide free breakfast to Diamond members and give a voucher to purchase foods.

Clean, pleasant staff, everything was nice. Nice lobby.

Service is fast and fantastic. The hotel is old and it shows but the staff is friendly and helpful. They also gave us a free breakfast coupon because of a leak in the toilet water tank, which they fixed within a few hours.

Location great! Room was great but could hear anything happening in the hallway.

The hotel has been very accommodating when booking business guests. I have been pleased with their bar and rooms. With many options downtown, this one has been reasonably priced and a consistent experience for my traveling associates.

Don t get fooled by the 4 star review overall. My experience here has been really bad, In the sense that the hotel has taken Covid 19 as an excuse to cut costs in all sorts of angles and making the stay un pleasant. Now to top it all off there is a staff member that is in their high horse and was super rude towards my family and myself. (Make it clear it is not all staff members).

I left my new boots in my room and checked out. I returned 2 hours later to retrieve them and I was told they were not found. I tried following up for 3 weeks, and the Hilton Honors people and the manager of this hotel have not been helpful, and the manager was actually rude. Very sad.

The entrance is very welcoming, the rooms are clean and well kept, the staff is incredibly nice and is willing to help out in anyway they can (even if it means having to deal with me asking for 50 thousand towels) the pool is on the shallow side but it its welkept and clean

Pathetic training of the front desk staff in hotel management! Rather than being nice and helpful they just put their arms in the air when I requested for an early check in. This was inspite of multiple guests checking out and with me traveling with two babies. The particular staff showed poor problem solving skills.

The room and staff was great!! Unfortunately parking lot security is terrible. My rented vehicle's windows were smashed and 2 of our suite cases were taken. My son's clothing and shoes were stolen. To make things worse, the Omaha police never showed after 2 1/2 hours to file a report. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Justin and two other employees from engineering were the best. They cleaned up all the broken glass from inside the vehicle. They really need to install security cameras in the parking lot.

The hotel was good for my wife and I. We went to a concert at the CenturyLink Center and it was a short walk. The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again.

Like the hotel. Good rooms, good location. Spencers (on site restaurant) is hit and miss - food is OK, but high priced.

Had to pay for parking and breakfast but it was right next to the art park and close to alot of things.

The drinks were cold and strong the staff was very friendly

Very nice location. A nice place to stay the night near downtown omaha. Though most of the ppl there were loud , rude , and insensitive. But that was my experience. On other hand the hotel staff was nice and helpful.

WILL ONLY GET A RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT IF YOUR FEEDBACK IS GOOD****Checked in for a short overnight stay while in town with my daughter. Everything with the hotel was nice. My experience really came to light after checking out. At check out time I pulled my vehicle from the 4th floor to the ground level so it was easier for us to access and load. As I was pulling in a I noticed a white truck that I parked next to. After leaving the hotel we hit the highway immediately and stopped just outside of town to fuel up. Once out of the car to pump gas I noticed my vehicle had been hit. It was white paint and corresponded with the same way someone next to me would have to cut the wheel in order to back out of the parking spot. I came to the conclusion it was probably the white truck that parked next to me. I called into the hotel immediately but was told the manager on duty was busy but would call me back. This made since as it was Sunday and a lot of people were checking out. Monday came and went without a call. Tuesday while at work I decide to call back. I reached someone who identified themselves as the GM. Took all info of what happened, said he would need to check the security footage and would call me back shortly. I explained I was waiting to call my insurance until I heard back. I never heard back Tuesday so on Wednesday I decide to take time out of my workday to follow up. I was told by the lady who answered the phone he was busy and in a meeting but knew I was waiting to hear back. Waited until Thursday and still did not hear back. I decided to call again and at that point reached someone else who identified themselves as either a GM or AGM. He told me who I was to be calling me back was off for the next couple days and was not aware of situation. I explained it and he said he would check the footage immediately to see if the camera view could see where I was parked. He put me on hold and did this within about 2 minutes. I asked him to have that same manager that was originally supposed to call me back reach out to me. Here we are almost a week after and no contact back from the original manager. Would have liked the professional courtesy to hear back from him with an apology but that is not going to happen I guess. Having your vehicle hit and ran on is not a fun situation. Having it happen on someone else's property and then not having them cooperate doesn't make it any easier. Not what I would expect from a Hilton property.

*** I went back through and edited my response. I called back after waiting an additional week and brought it to the managements attention that no one every reached back out to me. No real response of concern. Adding to it since then I see that management responds to 5 star reviews but seems to look over negative feedback. They are missing the point totally.

Standard HGI property. Clean rooms, very friendly/helpful staff, fast wifi, hot shower, tasty breakfast. Nothing special but does the essentials very well and is a solid choice for business trips.

Hotel is old and the rooms need updating. The beds are beyond stiff and uncomfortable. The room is also extremely small, we wouldn t have been able to set up our child s pack n play without moving the chair into the walkway. Located in a great area, but the road noise is extremely loud in the middle of the night, even with white noise on in the room.
Extra $15 for parking per night. Breakfast is not included. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The gentleman at the counter looked at us with a glare and a look of disgust as we asked if we could just use the restrooms since we were in the old market at around 1 am and we could not go in the bars due to my wife being under 21. It was honestly appalling, the restrooms were nice but a bit messy.

Met one of my best college buddies here after not seeing him for 15 years it was an awesome time. Took in a Husker game. Mac passed away a few weeks ago, great to see him again. Great times.

The floors were dirty ( grout and really dirty in elevator-) Very loud traffic. Don't expect to sleep and we were even on the 8th floor
