This review is for the check in process for my week stay. Upon arrival, mediocre hi by unhappy employee Davi who you can tell hates his job. Kept the bare minimal to ID, credit card, go here to park. No other explanation of amenities, access to elevator with key card, no extra key card offered, no explanation of addressing covid or requests. Certainly made an impression.

Excellent staff. Had a long day and the front desk offered me coffee and cookies. This is what keeps me coming back here. Yes the beds are comfy, the room is clean, many nearby restaurants, close to the wharf, and childrens' park for my son. But nothing beats a welcoming front desk who offers coffee and cookies. I've stayed here for at least 15 times.

This has to be one of the most outdated hilton hotels i have ever stayed inn. Wobbly desks, lamps that look like they were thrown out of a motel 8 and picked up by this hotel, extremely disappointed. My room had the screen door that was absolutely filthy, tv didn t work and sink was clogged. Toilets in 2 rooms keep filling up every 15 minutes or so. Again, totally disappointed. Hilton is so much better than this. Parking is an extra 15 daily. And breakfast bags were sold . Outrages. Only 2 USB ports in the room and that s on the alarm clock. No cameras anywhere that I could see. will be leaving tomorrow (here on a long term project) and look elsewhere .

That manager did not let me pick people in their parking lot instead made them walk out downhill their driveway to the main street to get on the bus.I was shocked that manager did to this people.that manager thumbs down

Been to this hotel many times over the past 8 years and it never disappoints. Great location with quick access to all Monterey and Carmel by the Sea has to offer. The rooms are nice and clean, and the restaurants and facilities are fantastic. Best of all is the staff who are always friendly and accommodating. Overall great hotel and I will be back whenever in the area.

The worst of the Hiltons hotels so far..front desk customer service very poor I truly don't understand Why is called de Hilton Garden Inn because is located right on a corner side of a very busy main road full of trees and greenery around it very poor landscape the rom located on the second floor with no view bathroom has a toilet right when you walk in the room very odd this room was $300 + dollars per night in addition to that I had to pay for parking $15 dollars per nigh i thought it was ridiculous Next time I visit Monterrey California I definitely look for a better place or read reviews
This is a Very Old Hilton Hotel without good service they need to take this old place down and put a new one Inn. Very disappointed guess

The property is huge. Rooms are average sized. There are very few (and poorly located) elevators, however. It can make for a long and tiring trek to your room. I didn't see any real restaurants within easy walking distance. It's about a 1 mile walk to the wharf, close to 2 miles if not more to cannery row and the aquarium, but it's a very scenic walk. Left too early to know if they have a breakfast, but being a Hilton Garden Inn, I believe they should have a restaurant. Don't believe breakfast would be free, however.

Old property, super congested rooms, weird parking, small elevators and shabby carpets sum up this hotel. Don't get fooled by the hilton name, this place is not worth the price. Infact if the name did not have hilton in it, this place will not get half the nightly rate.

On top of that they charge additionalUSD 15 for parking. Why you may ask, after all its all their property and no shortage of space? Because they can gauge customers in the hilton name.

The hyatt near by is also an old property but has much larger rooms and has better ambience, suggest checking that out.

The amenities as well as the updated rooms of this location are great. The hotel is nice for couples but especially great for groups and families. It isn't far from the beach or downtown. You can walk everywhere from here and have something to do.

There is a heated pool and hot tub. An amazing fire pit with seating and they provide the items to make Smores; cabanas poolside for day time use. The biggest thing for me when I go somewhere is the fitness center. This place did not disappoint. There were plenty of options and equipment to get a great workout completed.

To top it off, the staff are all very pleasant and helpful. I would come back to stay here anytime I am in Monterey.

Daniel at the front desk was welcoming, pleasant and extremely helpful. Josh at the bar was very friendly and attentive. The only complaint was from my wife, she thought the bar was a little cold. I thought it was fine. The rooms were the best nights sleep we've had in a long time. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return the next time we are in Monterey. Thank you to all staff.

PROS: Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Price is reasonable (given the location).

CONS: The rooms are very dated, actually most of the property is very dated. The parking situation is not great. The parking lots are very small and not convenient. The underground parking is limited and has a dead end which requires a very difficult u- turn if no spaces are available. Parking costs $15. Not that close to main Monterey attractions.

Staff was great, rooms were clean. Prices... meh. But I'd go here again just because of the effort the staff put forth to make my stay as best as possible.
But a fire pit and marshmallows didnt hurt either.

This is a perfectly serviceable hotel. Everything is a little dated and the parking situation is a bit odd. There's an on premise restaurant that seemed pretty old and unappealing. The staff and front desk were very nice and my room was clean.

This review is about the restaurant, Pacific Grille. Best kept secret in Monterey County. I am a local and have been going for breakfast here every Saturday for the last 4 years - that's how good it is! The buffet changes so I won't get into that all they have but know that the chefs Delfino and Arturo will make you an omelet from heaven! If they have it ask for the Croissant French Toast - it's amazing! Too bad they still don't do the Eggs Benedict (management should bring it back) because I've never had the like - more amazing! Staff goes over the top on service. Great food, great service. Doesn't get any better than that!

The room we got is in the courtyard right next to the laundry. This means that we always have the fumes and background noise from the washing machines on the balcony.
The rooms are quite small. No room safe.

We stayed during COVID 19 shelter in place and it was wonderful. The restaurant at the hotel was still closed but there were many other options in town. The room was clean. Frintvdesk staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will for sure be back.

Room was pretty good. Had to pay for parking for some reason. Restaurant gave a lot of food but the food wasn't very good. Pool/hot tub was constantly full so we couldn't get to either. Place wasn't bad but just not what I would expect for the cost

We planned a bereavement dinner for our guests. The Hilton Sales Director was very accommodating to our needs. Chase Rameriz made sure our requests were taken care of. I would not hesitate to do business at the Hilton or recommend them for future events.
