I will never ever stay here again. Front desk call...

I will never ever stay here again. Front desk called me before arrival needing a card to secure my room, I gave them one and they authorized my stay. I arrive and they run my card again and says it declined. My bank froze it because they charged my card 3 times. The 3rd time with what they called an incidentals fee. I had been warned about the "black" tax that this branch charges but this was my 1st time experiencing this. They charge the black people more when they check you in. I unlocked my card for the charge to go through. I get to my room and it is not what I reserved. The front desk rep says to come back down and they will put me in my reserved room. The rep looks at me and says, I can't see 3rd party reservations to check your reservation. I tell her I am a rewards member, I used Hilton's site not a 3rd party. She looks me up and down and says, that can't be. I offered my confirmation#. She then says they don't have a room like the one I reserved. At this point I couldn't cancel so I was stuck in the room that was greatly different than what I reserved. The heat blew out cold air until I set it at 80. Big disappointment. The manager only addressed these issues when I complained at checkout. After the discrimination, humiliation, and discomfort I was only offered a $50 credit and a half apology. Try another brand if you want comfort and goid customer service.

Hilton is in a great location. Don't make the mistake we did by eating prior to arrival with restaurants right across the street and a Ruth Chris in house.

If there was valet for the hotel it's not 24 hour. We walked into the well staffed lobby to welcoming faces. We asked for a higher floor, and it was granted. Coming from DC we normally stay in boutique style hotels for personalized service and unique amenities. I am no stranger to paying
$300 a night for a hotel room, so the $100 price tag for a queen room on a high floor in a 3/4 star hotel was a relief.

The room is DC level 3 star at best. The room has no USB outlets and no iPhone or iHome dock. There is no frills but it is a clean room. The bathroom is a real door (yay!) a tub, very small sq feet, but good counter space. There is also a vanity mirror.

The parking is an attached covered garage, you do drive around the block but if you park on the second floor you get direct access to hotel lobby.

In the morning we hoped for DC style brunch buffets but there were none to be found. Ruth's Chris option was less than appetizing. We went with Eggs Up Grill (separate review).

Overall great experience for good price.

This place is amazing. So clean and great staff. I loved the fitness center and the convenience of having a restaurant inside. The pool was great and the room, oh the room was great. Nice bed and lots of space. The closet was big enough to hang my close. The bathroom was perfect. Very clean, stylish and spacy. I'm definitely going back and stay at Hilton Columbia Center. Plenty space for parking.

Room was dusty and musty. Bathroom had hair all over it even after they cleaned it again. Walls are paper thin. Be prepared to listen to your neighbor's TV as well as everything else they do. This was the worst Hilton experience I have ever had. They seem to run this place like a budget motel. Front desk did not seem to care too much when I told them about the issues with the room. Do yourself a favor and find another hotel. It is clear they couldnt care less about their guests or the condition of the rooms. For the price it is unacceptable .

Attended a function in the ballrooms. The valet parking was reasonable and definite plus. The hotel was clean and the staff courteous. The food was top notch. The location of the ballrooms from the entrance was perfect.

Very impressed. Utilized the digital key app and being a former I.T guy I was skeptical. It started with pulling into the parking garage, pulled up to the gate and the app lit up, pushed a button on my phone and in we went. Every aspect of the hotel was first class and on point. Room was amazing, the beds are incredibly comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of a great area of Columbia, SC. I would have rated it excellent if it were not for a recent experience.

All was well with my stay until about 9:30 AM the day of my departure. I had gone down to my car to drop off some items and then went to breakfast. When I returned to my room for a call I needed to make for work housekeeping was already cleaning my room. I expressed the need to make a call in my room housekeeping simply said "sorry" and continued cleaning my room. The intent was clear. I was not getting access to my room.

This was approximately 90 minutes before checkout at 11:00 AM! I brought this to the attention of Hilton and was told I would receive 20,000 Hilton Honor Points. I appreciate the gesture but really could have benefited from having access to my room through the time I paid.

The hotel itself was comfy and cozy. Set and feel was nice but the front lady was not the best. That kind of employee kills the company vibe. Breakfast was wonderful. The weight room needs to be worked on but if you re into running the stair master it s all good.

Sooooo things were definitely not at clean as I'd prefer during a pandemic. My comforter had red stains all over it so I had to ask for new. The lights and bathrooms all need wiped down, makes me wonder how clean our room is or isnt. For $250 a night my expectations were a lot higher so it's a bit disappointing.

Everyone is extremely friendly. The location is central to great restaurants and eateries. On the edge of THE University of South Carolina (USC). Ruth Chris Steakhouse is their restaurant - are you kidding me! Rooms have that classic old time feel, but are very modern. Everything you need is in walking distance. Staff very friendly. Jennifer was professional and pleasant when we arrived early for check in. Our room was promptly prepared and presented. Thank you everyone for a great visit!!
