Very nice hotel, 5 stars. Ideally located at walking distance from the centre and some of the most interesting museums. The rooms are spacious and cleaned regularly. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Always ready to help. The bar on the top floor is absolutely outstanding and offers a breath taking view from its terrace.

Fantastic! Excellent Executive Lounge, Honors customers are very well received :)

Fantastic is the best definition for Hilton Athens! From the imposing construction that became an icon of the city to the excellence of the services, I stayed twice at the hotel and both went very well.

Birthday surprise.
My second stay at the Hilton Athens was during my birthday, as an Honor Diamond customer I am used to small gifts in return for my loyalty, but this time, I was surprised by a cart in the room, with fruit wine and a beautiful pie in addition to a loving card of birthday.

Executive rooms, terrace and stunning views
As an Honors Diamond customer I have always been fortunate to receive an upgrade (subject to availability) for the executive rooms, with a terrace and a beautiful view of the city with the Acropolis in the background. The executive rooms are spacious, modern furniture, beautiful bathroom and good work desk.

Executive Lounge, panoramic view and good hors d'oeuvres.
The large executive lounge offers the chain's traditional free services, drinks and snacks throughout the day. At happy hour a hors d'oeuvres service is offered, with varied alcoholic drinks; the experience is fantastic especially for the sunset and the panoramic view provided by the open terrace of the lounge.

Breakfast
The breakfast served in the restaurant on the ground floor is adequate to the quality of the hotel's standard, in addition to the buffet items you can order cook to order dishes such as special eggs and various omelets.

I hope this brief report has contributed to the next hotel choice! :)

** My reports are based on real experiences as a business and leisure traveler, in more than 200 different hotels on 4 continents, mainly from Hilton and Accor chains. ;)

Probably one of the top hotels in Athens, with a top roof bar (Galaxy bar) overlooking the Acropolis and Lycabetus hills. The hotel offers a number of restaurants and boasts an impressive outdoor swimming pool. A great choice to stay while in Athens or visit for drinks or dinner.

overall it's a good hotel and good location. but while we were there July 9-12 this year, the executive lounge was chaotic! too many people and too little seats or food to accommodate, and some are standing during the happy hours! very under manpowered and the ladies working there were running non stop. yes it was high season, so this should be taken into consideration.

We stayed at this property from June 11-14. As a Gold customer, here are my observations:

The lounge on the 11th floor - executive concierge was not friendly in any way. They always had a frown on their faces and would do their best to avoid looking at guests. I don t understand why they have the most unfriendly people working the executive lounge. Note - the staff IN the lounge area was great.

Housekeeping staff was always friendly. We never got the room serviced because we don t need it, but they always checked on us to see if we needed anything.

Pool/Spa comments:

We were looking forward to using the spa facilities on Day 1 to relax after our long flight. Unfortunately after arriving at the spa, we were told that the women s spa facilities were not working for the entire duration of our stay. That was very disappointing.

The spa attendant suggested that we go to the outdoor pool instead. After walking to the outdoor pool, we were told by a pool attendant that we needed to go BACK to the spa to get pool towels. Really? Why don t they have towels available AT the pool? Are towels really that precious that they need to be guarded by the spa staff? And why didn t the spa attendant just give us towels when we were in the spa the first time?
The next day we noticed that the pool attendant was getting towels for guests, but only the guests he knew. Other guests were told to go to the spa to get their own towels.

pool towels are too short for the deck chairs at the pool. So we asked for two towels each, so that we could fully cover the deck chairs with the towels. We were told that we could not have two towels each. The limit was one towel each. Again - seriously?? How is this good service?

Breakfast in the restaurant had a great selection. Unfortunately the service was not great. It was almost impossible to get a cup of coffee, and when we did, it was usually cold. We noticed most of the staff just standing around talking to each other instead of helping guests. Also - orange juice sign reads fresh orange juice - but that is not the case. orange juice is from a box, not fresh.

in-room internet was very slow. We are self employed and we have to keep up with emails while traveling. It was almost impossible to do this with the internet at the Hilton.

All in all I would not stay here again. Not a good value for the money.

Extremely nice, big, modern rooms and very central. The metro station is only 3 minutes and from there 5-7 minutes to the Acropolis or Monastiraki. The breakfast is also delicious and has many offers. A spa and a modern gym are also available. At the top there is a bar with a great view, but the prices are also relatively high. Furthermore, it is always clean, was already 3 times in the Hilton and enjoyed it again and again.

Customer service, very spacious and clean rooms - very good. But in sidlo 21 to have internet of payment seems an exaggeration. If I have it like that I think they should put the furniture in the lobby more comfortable and new.

Great spaces, a lot of things to do and explore and especially the magnificent view of Athens on the roof bar.
The parking is a little bit expensive.
The staff is helpful.
I would recommend it for a cocktail at night.

Couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel!
The rooms were beautiful: spacious, clean and quiet. The hotel is on a very busy road so this was quite impressive.
It's elegant with a wonderful buffet breakfast, the executive lounge was great too. Just loved the pool area and lunch by the pool isn't limited to snacks and sandwiches. Absolutely delicious!
I can't say enough about the service: if you need to leave early to catch a boat to an island, they will provide you with a breakfast box that has a full continental breakfast in it. Almost too much!

Impeccable views of the Acropolis at sunset, drinks and food were pricey, but tasty. Duck spring rolls were excellent, sushi was good, charcuterie board was okay. Drinks were delicious. Servers were attentive and efficient.

Fabulous hotel, of considrable price that disappoints in quite important questions at the moment, they sell it to you with wiffi, and it only has in the common zones after a lot of steps. If you want real wiffi you have to pay 30 e more per day. Considering what a hotel is quite focused on business trips, I find it a bit sad. Everything else at the height of a Hilton hotel. Fantastic breakfast

The view from the bar is fantastic. Very good service. Price on drink expensive (13 plain drink). The music is reminiscent of more beach bars and not a balcony with the best views of Europe.

Beatiful and luxurious hotel, extremely high level with all comforts. The rooms are modern and fantastically decorated, the view is nice, the health club is very nice and they have both inside and outside swimming pool. Only minus : no free WiFi unless you are a member, but even if you are a member, you are supposed to book directly with Hilton or else your membership will not be recognised. Ridiculous as I mostly travel for business

Rooms on the upper floors have a nice view. A Hilton at the height of the name. Friendly staff and rooms in the chain standard. Good sized bathroom with separate tub and shower. Ideal for a stay in the city. In the main restaurant you can eat well (not very well) with an international menu. The view is spectacular.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Athens and will definitely return. The staff were very friendly and professional. My room was huge, beautiful and very clean and I truly felt home away from home. The view from the rooftop is amazing. I was too busy the whole week, I didn't have enough time to visit the spa but definitely on my to-do list for next time.
