Exceptional history. Parts of it feel frozen in time. Breakfast is great. Get a room overlooking the canal. Oh and rent a bike from the hotel. Quick warning though for non native people - gym doesn t open until 7am.

Very good deal, great restaurant. Perfect for children and one step away from the museums (Van Gogh and Rijsmuseum). He is famous for the photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in bed, in his campaign on peace in the 60s of the last century.

Really nice hotel. The rooms were great and the bathroom was spacious with a nice size bathtub. The breakfast buffet was great with many options.the executive lounge is kind of small and we struggled to find seats. Also, there is no pool or hot tub which was a huge bummer.

Great hotel. Hilton standard, but with a historical taste. Good large room and great breakfast. Not super close to the public transportation, neither inexpensive. But the satisfaction is guaranteed.

Don't judge a book by its cover is the perfect description for this hotel. The outside of the building looks like any other massive gray building you've seen but once you step inside you are greeted by one of the most elegant and beautiful hotels I have ever been to. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful and you really feel appreciated as a customer. The decorations they had on for St Nicholas were incredibly cute and the Christmas tree and candles that followed were absolutly beautiful. No trees every other meter and signs everywhere trying to force you into a Christmas party like you see in other hotels since June. Just beautiful and classy.

Simply, a simple place to live. While, not alot of crazy tourist based areas to explore, the museums and their sheer content make up for it. On top of that, the city life style feels similar to a hybrid downtown and suburban LA creaating a surreal experience cleaner than anything youve done. Plus, the locals make the trip more worthwhile with their generosity and kindness.

My parents recommended this hotel to me and it didn't disappoint. I actually loved the fact that the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the city life but convenient for the tram. Comfortable rooms, mine was with a panorama of Amsterdam and was cleaned every day. Not too much luxury but pleasant enough.

Wonderful retro hotel and architectural gem with rooms refurbished to maintain 1960s interior vibe. The old world charm and elegance lingers across the hotel and positively influences the delightful service and ambiance. This hotel deserves more plaudits. Enjoy the terrace bar with tranquil views over the nearby canal and do not miss the superb Roberto Italian restaurant. Rooms are nice - but a few 5* touches such as pillow menu, bed side chocolates, free water etc would make me give a further star. Amble parking, but a bit of a trek to walk into Amsterdam center. However, good choice of local cafes and eateries <5 mins away.

Terrible experience at this hotel, its an hour walk from the centre & 25 in a taxi and more a business hotel. The staff were rude & made me feel uncomfortable when we asked to move. Wouldn't recommend and definitely would never stay here again.

Everything OK

Everything OK
Our extended stay was comfortable. The staff very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was also very good. Unfortunately, the fitness room has very limited opening hours (weekend 8-16h), so unfortunately I could not use it. For a hotel of this category, I would have wished for a larger time window. Otherwise we were very satisfied.

Drove from Paris to the Amsterdam Hilton
Talking in our beds for a week
The newspapers said, say what're you doing in bed
I said we're only trying to get us some peace

Nice location in old South, with a wide view of the city from the higher floors. The rooms are neat and clean, although not overly large, and a coffee machine had not been out of place considering the chain and pricing.

I've stayed at this hotel and attended events at this hotel. It's a solid business and family property, conveniently located without being too close to the crowds.

There's a nice outdoor terrace right on the water. The beds are great. The staff attentive.

The hotel is not bad, but it is already a few years old and needs a modernization.
The staff at the reception did not seem attentive, they seemed a bit annoying.

The good thing is the view of the hotel and the garden.

Really fabulous hotel. Treated my son and I very well after our airline stranded us at Christmas.

Excellent room and really great breakfast - including pancakes to order.

Incredibly helpful staff. 24 hour public computer access in the business suite.

Worth spending that bit more to treat yourself.

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Rude, unwelcoming, personnel. Broken shower, and lack of warm water. I came here to work with a colleague and they don t even have work meeting rooms. Just avoid this hotel.

The hotel is located a bit out of the center, but easy to reach by public transport. Taxis cost 20 at night.
The rooms are clean and spacious, especially the bathroom. The staff is very friendly!
