Nice place and I haven't heard anything bad about it
It s clean. The place is organized. They love the residents.
Fix it list.
1. Nurses not answering call bells.
2.supervisors properly handling complaints.
3.morning shift sitting down for 30mins-1hour not answering bells.
Other then the three things above this is a great place with so much love. If you bring your loved one here mention these three things and maybe we can make this a 4 star or even five star place. Thank you!
The staff is bar none, the best! They connect immediately with the families and patients. They go out of their way to make sure your loved one is getting the best care. Cannot say enough good things
My brother has been a resident for the last few months, and has become so unhappy and depressed with the care he has received. His needs are not being met and when family members call to speak to someone to advocate for our brother, we get the runaround. The social worker is hard to get a hold of and never returns phone calls. My brother is incontinent and will sit in his wheelchair for hours not being cared for, after ringing the bell for assistance. He has waited for more than 45 minutes to an hour for a nurse to come to his room, when he rings the bell.
When staff come in they are overheard saying what are you are ringing for with an attitude. Family members personally have overheard how staff treat our brother. I am tired of hearing that they are short-staffed and this is why my brother is neglected and mistreated. Some LNA's have been overheard being insensitive and unprofessional towards our brother. My brother has stated, "dogs are treated better" than I am treated here. Family have dropped off clothing and food in which he never receives items and our brother is told it got lost. Activities do not invite him to any programs since he has been admitted and do not provide any room visits for socialization. The only thing my brother has stated is that the food is good! We are currently working on finding new placement so our brother gets the respect he deserves. Think twice before you place a loved one here.
Some staff is great, give great care, some dont. Often short staffed. Many staff members are rude or overly friendly, like faking their compassion to get close to family but dont provide good care to their patients. The food is mediocre at best. Overall, I guess there are worse places
My grandmother had been in the rehab center for 3 weeks for a broken hip. the care was great, followed all doctors orders, and they were great with her needing to go to outside appointments. they helped her gain her independence back! thoughtful nurses and great activities and games for the residents. the only complaint was the food my grandmother said was pretty horrible. but they allow you to have your own snacks and can bring food in from the outside.
thank you again Hillsborough county rehab!
Thank you to all the caring, conscientious staff who are working so hard to keep my mom healthy and feeling cared for! Impressive. I m glad my mom is at HCNH for her care.
