Well for one they can t handle my sons behavior which is understandable but tonight experienc leaves me in tears my son has intellectual disability and behaviors tonight he acted out long story short a female worker put us on speaker as instead of de escululating the situation she was doing complete opposite and was actually arguing with him and escalating the situation over him cussing at a kid she was full force arguing and escalating the situation was very not professional training when you would think you would be trained in de escalating by instead escalated situation making my son more upset the phone hangs up no contact sense I m sure they will send him to police or hospital again saying he did this and the but I m sure won t enticing parents hearing te lady educate my son pathetic should be fired for that and mark my words it will be looked into by dhs and the judge that put him there my sons been in other placements and never was treated so badly or had as many issues as he does here it breaks my heart the people suppose to help him are escalating his behaviors until he does bad things place needs shut down !

Son was there a few months, they started decreasing all meds he was on for years, he of course reacted to it and started acting out again then they claim we can t handle him first we were given a 10 day discharge then they called on day 3 of the 10 days and said we had to get him immediately or dhs would be notified and they will press charges for child abandonment. We live 6 hrs away. Very inexperienced staff at malitore house. Find help elsewhere if at all possible.

I was a resident there in the mid 90s and i have to say that they helped me out in more ways than one. They taught me responsibility and respect and not hard core discipline but a good old fashioned time-out and you know what it's a lesson that you know that they do it because they care and want what's best for you. I will never forget my 5 favorite staff for as long as i remember they are as follows: Kent Nelson, Judy Nelson and Brett And Julie and steve foster. And the pastor was cool as well Rocky. The people that knock this place please realize they do things to keep kids off the street and out of trouble and out of juvenile detention and if they're old enough to be adults jail. I give them all the respect in the world because they know it's hard to deal with kids but believe me they'll make a come through because I'm one that was like that.

They have helped our son greatly and staff is very nice.

I loved it. Spent 4 months and now I'm back home using my skills on a daily staying away from those drugs and taking my life back the way it should have. Thanks to the 2018 staff up in Molitore House. Y'all were foreal the best.

I was a troubled youth and spent many years growing up in the system. Out of the many places, I cannot honestly say the staff and associates at Hillcrest were amazing. I was there for close to 9 months, and by far received more personalized care then any other place combined.

Gretchen is an amazing therapist and has been extremely helpful thus far.

Please do not go to this clinic!!! My teenage girl was in desperate need of medication. We tried for over six months of failed appointments until finally having to move on to someone who actually was willing to help us. Every appointment we made, we showed up on time, and every time they would either act like they had no idea that they knew that it was scheduled or they had cancelled the appointment without telling us!??

Staff was a bit unhelpful and dismissive, but the kids seem to like it there.

The 'Mentor Dubuque' program is amazing. Major kudos to Kalyn Decker with Mentor Dubuque... she does so much for this program!
