I called to make a reservation on 12/21/17 and was given my options and I picked a room, $150 for the classic single, and gave all my info and paid a deposit. I was called back in about ten minutes and was told that is no longer available but you can do the classic double, $40 dollars more a night, so I decided to go with it because the lodge looked nice. So I thought I was done, 5 hours later I get ANOTHER call, being told that room isn t available but I can go with the Classic Suite, this is now $100 MORE A NIGHT then my original price I was given (that I paid a deposit and THOUGHT I had locked in.) so I asked is there anything you can do to compensate for all the mix up. Then I get a call from the owner and was told again they can t do anything for me on price, basically you can pay the $250 or go elsewhere. Everyone was nice I talked to, I am just upset and surprised that no one including the owner wanted to split the difference on cost, offer a discount or anything for all the mix up. I deal with customer everyday in my job and understand how important customer service is and I just feel I was short handed on this situation.

This place is a fresh take on Vermont B&B with a modern feel. The owners recently renovated the old hotel, which has some remnants of previously use of the building as a barn. One of the owners, Chuck, is a hobby architect and this man knows his stuff. The main 'lobby' feels more like a living room with a dope fireplace and bar within reach.
We went Christmas Eve to have some booze and share in the festivities with the owners.
The rooms and bathrooms, also recently renovated, are very clean, modern and comfortable.

Felt more like staying at your awesome aunt and uncle who have a place on the mountain that let you bring your friends up every season.

P.S. There's a 20 person outdoor hot tub.

Had an incredible stay at the Highline! Loved the fireplace lounge where we had amazing food and wine. The location is perfect - very close to the mountains and bars in Killington. Would definitely come back year after year.

Great experience, wonderful accommodations, the food and bedding were superb. The staff were polite and helpful. The Lodge is in close vicinity to Mount Killington, offering easy access shuttles to the ski lifts. I am now convinced to use this lodge for my families' annual ski trip.

Really cute lodge - it feels like a ski house with lots of rooms. Pros: live music for apres, amazingly huge hot tub, convenient location, easy reservation for their first NYE dinner (lobster bisque was incredible), and very friendly staff! Cons: tiny rooms, NYE dinner was so slow that there was almost an hour difference between when entrees came out for different members of my group, and almost no noise isolation throughout the lodge. I would absolutely love to come back and stay here again, and hopefully dinner service improves in the future.

It was okay and the owner was nice but the beds and sleeping area were okay, not great but ok, the breakfast was an absolute joke, if you want to go somewhere that can also provide you with real food than do not go here, when I stayed we had to drive a bit away just to get a decent meal for breakfast. So overall it was not terrible for the price.

Historical wooden lodge, about 3 min. drive away from the Killington skiing area. Rooms are quite basic but clean. The common are is nice and cozy, there is also a year-round pool outside. Staff is great, food is good, and there is live music on weekends. Recommended.

3 buddies staying for a long weekend of snowboarding. This place is 10,000% better than a hotel because this is what a ski lodge is supposed to be. A kickass outdoor "hot pool", live music next to a roaring fire, and an affordable and fun bar across the street. The continental breakfast was lacking but sufficient.

I visited Highline Lodge for a birthday party weekend with about 15 friends. Our stay at the lodge was amazing! They have a giant outdoor jacuzzi/pool, game room, and huge Great Room with fireplace and live music. The staff was amazing and did everything possible to ensure we had an awesome time. We had a big dinner in the restaurant as well and it was the best food I've had in Killington. I definitely plan on going back!

Nice location. Small, low ceilinged rooms. Carpets all over, kind of stuffy because of them. Great common area, however, poor insulated Roos, thus noisy in the room because of the bar. Outside fire place, which adds a lot to the experience. Hot tub is outside as well.

My expectations were much higher from viewing online pics. The place is currently under reconstruction, but lobby and rooms are worn and battered, effects of a life of partying skiers over the years. The cost is not cheap, but the highline feels cheap.

I had a wonderful stay here with my girlfriends! The lodge is incredibly welcoming and cozy! After a day of skiing, we came back to a warm fire, great food and drinks, and the opportunity to meet the other guests staying there. The lodge fosters a feeling of community and relaxation. We were so close to the mountain, bars and restaurants in the area- it truly is a perfect location. I would highly recommend a ski trip stay in this lodge!

Great low-key lodge for a ski getaway!

Great low-key lodge for a ski getaway!

This is the perfect place for a couple days of skiing with some friends. The lodge has everything you're looking for when it comes to a ski trip: large common room with a wood-burning stone fireplace, moose and other taxidermied animals, a small bar/restaurant, live music, heated outdoor pool, free continental breakfast, and a game room with billiards, ping-pong, and pinball.

The staff was very accommodating, and provided a mini-fridge and an extra cot for our room. The room was on the small side, but we were not in VT to hang out in our room.

My one suggestion would be to open up the breakfast buffet a little bit earlier so that people have time to grab a bite before catching the first chairlift at the mountain. Luckily we were able to grab some fruit to go, but the breakfast didn't open until 8.

Overall, it was just what we were looking for in a ski lodge, and I would return for another stay...

It looks like a lot of recent work was done to the group spaces, which could be a great place to be in the winter... maybe.
Our room was poorly done. I've seen better DIY jobs for sure. There was almost no water pressure. The popcorn ceiling was lined with wood trim, but there were paint marks all over it, as if whoever did it had never painted before, or just didn't care. Three carpet was cheap and was loose in areas. There was no working thermostat, but there was a little room fan to use... although it might have been there to dry the mildewed wet spot on the floor in front of the couch. The bathroom had no lock and the shower sprinkled luke warm water out as if it was 30 years old and other guests had used the shower before me.
There was one staff member there when we checked in (the owner I guess?). We checked in late and she was cleaning the kitchen next to our room. The info card in said the owners live 2 min away and to call their cell phones if you have a problem. After that point I don't believe there was any staff in the building.

There was supposed to be a continental breakfast, but it appeared as though the bagels and cereal had been put out there night before. No milk, no butter or cream cheese. I was able to grab one of the last Keurig pods for coffee, but there was no cream. Afterwards I set the used pod neatly on the pile of other used pods on the counter because there was no trash can.

All in all, it wasn't the worst place we've stayed. But our discount rate from Expedia was more $ than we paid for a 4 star hotel a few nights before in downtown Montreal. Peak season Montreal was cheaper than off season at the ski hill? I would have at least hoped for some butter for that generic Sysco bagel.
