Good food , amala is nice but customer service is poor

The Amala Place. . Full abula plus Orisirisi (assorted). The fried meat is made in heaven . The staff can be friendly or saucy at any given time and to any customer... Depends on Their mood. But just enjoy your food and don't expect to be served. You may have to queue for up to 20mins during rush hour (lunch time).

Love the pounded yam. If you are a fan of "Iyan" like me, get there before 2pm. If not, you can settle for amala or eba Big success in Abuja

Iya Oyo Amala place has been around for over 10 years in Abuja. Their speciality is in Amala however, they also serve pounded yam, white rice and Eba alongside fried stew and boiled stew. They serve goat meat, mackerel (fish) and cow entrails. There is the option of gbegiri (bean soup) or and ewedu (jute mallow). If you are a stickler for ambiance, sorry you will not find that at this restaurant. Over the years they have remained low keyed in decor and ambiance.
A customer needs to:
1. Stand in queue to get served.
2. Customers also pick a bowl for service
3. After being served swallow or Rice one moves on to get stews and whatever protein meat or fish one desires.
4. Interestingly you can pick and choose what kinda protein part you desire.

Cost of food is reasonable and the attendants are relatively friendly.

Iya Oyoo amala joint is a delight to lover of local and Yoruba cuisines. The food is delicious at pocket friendly prices.

Still the best amala spot in Abuja! Yes, could be a bit cleaner but it's all part of the experience. Even the metal serving bowls add to the authentic amala vibe.

They specialize in two home made tasting dishes namely "Amala" and "Rice" with a variety of soups. This is not fast food but cooked food at it's best.

There is "ponmo alata" ,plus "abula" and "amala dudu!" Such an amalgamation. Taken back to my first love, Ibadan flava. nothing ever goes out of place.

Best Amala place in the whole of Abuja.
If you are an Amala lover, make sure to visit Iya Oyo.
And yes be prepared to join a long queue

It is a place to go for local meal of Amala with gbegiri and ewedu soup. Rice beans and dodo is also available.

Good ssme taste, anytime, anyday. Though patience at times can be required due to long customer queue. Then, payment system needs to be semi-digitalised for payment ease.
