My only complaint is I have to pay an non-resident fee but it is what it is. The fact this place has raquetball offsets my complaint.
People are great, I love working out here, the equipment is ten times better than 24 hour or anytime fitness and it's never too packed to where you can't work out. Family membership is cheap aswell!!
They always have cool events for the kids and family we love this place.
This place is amazing. Great location, awesome park for the kids with restrooms and water. Camp Gladiator has classes here which is a great boot camp fitness program, and one of the best rec centers around.
Hidden gem in Roanoke! So nice to have a rec center like this so close. Seems like not many folks know about it because it's never very crowded. The gym doesn't have as much equipment as some of your brand name gyms, but it's got a lot fewer bros as well, so that's a plus. Very active sports leagues that are very well run. Super cheap for a monthly pass if your live in Roanoke; not quite as good of a deal if you don't.
This is the best facility. Its clean ,nice, and the staff is always courteous.tjere are plenty of activities . The gym is almost immaculate and the people who work there are awesome! Thanks for being the best!!!
It s a hit or miss experience depending on the staff working there that day.

Staff is always nice. Wish they had a sauna. Equipment is up to date and facility is always kept up.

Great place to play pickelball if you want competition.
I don't really go here personally. I do bring my siblings here for their karate lessons. The people who work here are great and friendly. Everyone that I have seen use this place are polite as far as I can tell. This is a clean and safe environment for everybody. Go ahead and give this place a chance. If nothing else, stand close by and play Pokemon Go. Their sign is a Pokemon gym and the building itself is a Pokemon stop.
Very clean facility with lots of classes and activities for both children and adults. Always something to do there. Has a beautiful 9ft pool table as well!

Overall good experience but I am most interested in basketball and the courts are very dusty and can't get traction on the court!
PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE CLEAN THEM DUST THEM OFF SOMETHING ITS POINTLESS TO HAVE BASEKTBALLSHOES IF THEY DONT HAVE TRACTION!!

A great gym workers here are very friendly and if you live in the roanoke area it is really close by

I payed $5 to rent a basketball and they said only I could touch it. None of my friends could play me or even step on the court. Then I asked for a refund and they wouldn't give it to me. I had to go to the manager and ask him multiple times for a refund. Do not come here!
The Roanoke community is so welcoming and friendly. Great center for thw whole family with updated facilities.
Absolute garbage facility. Doesn t even have a basic bar for calisthenics. Completely fricks you over. Came in and worked out for weeks and just now told me I m in trouble for being to young and entering. They ve watched me enter Avery day and just now yelled at me. I can already do 10x more than any loser that works there but It s policy to not let me in.

Good clean facility, only 3 complaints that I have are:
1. They don't open until 1pm on Sundays
2. Only one squat rack
3. Only one bench press and no decline bench press
Really wish they would fix number 2 and 3 and get rid of a few of the treadmills....
We are very lucky to have this fantastic facility in Roanoke. They offer basketball courts, aerobics, weights, plenty of treadmills, racquetball courts and an indoor walking track.
Good time, two courts available, had indoor tennis net up- all were being used. However, several basketball interest was there with only on rim on open court. Recommend consider moving nets other court which has one rim and open court with two rims for basketball.
Just a thought.
Our girls participate in the summer and after school program. VERY nice facility and NICE people. I TRUST this place.
The rec center has two indoor basketball and racquet ball courts as well as an indoor track above the basketball court.
I mainly go for the gym with has a decent selection of resistance machines, treadmills and ellipticals, but not a lot of free weights.
The courts and workout center are amazing, but the basketballs are old and flat

Extremely helpful front desk. I am just moving to the area and although currently had to join as a out of area they are willing to work with you and get you in at the 25 resident fee. it is all based on your water bill but it is one of the most beautiful rec centers i have seen.
Nice fields to play soccer on. The fields are smaller in size but in good condition.
