Always great food and service. Its expensive so you have to save up and make reservations for a special evening. They have an old general store you can buy things at and a barn you can see all the old farm equipment in free of charge.

For the price, you would think they would offer higher quality food. Albeit it is all you can eat for the most part but you are mostly paying for that and the atmosphere of a traditional country way of eating.
Upwards of $23.50 a person (yeah, sticker shock!)

Tea, Coffee and Lemonade are included in the meal but soft drinks and beer, wine etc are extra! These do NOT include refills. (You're paying $1.25 for a 12oz can of soda over ice)

The only thing I like about this place is the Crab Imperial. Sooo sooo good!

My family and I only went there for lunch and did not stay at the establishment itself. The food was very good and there was plenty provided for all of my family and seconds thirds and even fourths were provided of the more expensive dishes which was very nice. I left completely satisfied with the food. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because when we passed the food around we frequently had trouble finding room for all the different platters. Service was also good and the atmosphere was great.

We stayed in the farmhouse suite for two nights and had a wonderful time. The Innkeepers and staff were very accomodating. The property is beautiful, clean, and well kept. Breakfasts were served beautifully and were delicious. Sunday was a continental breakfast with hot sticky buns-yum! The restaurant is always a favorite with our family. Highly recommend!

This is an outstanding family style dinner restaurant. We enjoyed imperial crab, roast beef and gravy to include all the fixings. Their spiced peach slices are outstanding, as well as the delicious dessert menu. We opted for a salted caramel cheesecake slice, wow!

Outstanding family style food. Service started with cheese, crackers and warm apple cider. We were then seated and the food feast began.. warm rolls, spiced peaches and drinks was followed by a salad. Three entrees and 5 side dishes served with desert and coffee. The setting was in an old barn and they have been serving family style dining for 41 years. Service was outstanding and the food unbelievably deliscious.

During mother s day meal at restaurant, we were set at a table with a dirty tablecloth, covered in coffee stains etc. Dirty dish collection stations were placed on both sides of our table. Constant dirty dishes and slop being splattered. Dinner Rolls were burnt, actually black and tough. Coffee was luke warm. Very disappointed. Was supposed to be a nice evening meal out for our mothers on their special day.

This is a place to take people to impress. The entire experience is to be enjoyed. To dine in history just adds to the enjoyment. The food as always, is great. Once you have dined here, you will be coming back. It is so unique and the way it feels, it is like home. Some of the company we dined with had never been here, they are going to be coming back with their families. Go, experience. You will enjoy.

Beautiful country setting, very friendly & attentive staff, the owner goes from table to table greeting the patrons as if they were old friends. The food was perfect and plentiful, we will be returning, a definite 5 star night.

Attended a group dinner when we went here and only visited the restaurant. The ambiance is nice and service is excellent. The food is good but rather too much sweetening ingredient that makes you feel bloated at end of a meal. The salad, mmm... looks tired and unhappy.

This is our 31st year of coming to Hickory Bridge. We stayed here for our first anniversary. Every year it gets better due to the commitment of the owners, now starting the third generation, to improving cabins and rooms and offering wonderful food. It has warm and friendly atmosphere whatever the season.

I liked it, but there is room for improvement. It's traditional, country style family cooking, so expect that...heavy food, simple menu. For a classic dining experience, it's great, but I think it would be a one time visit for me. They should improve their wine offering. The bluegrass band was nice.

Great experience. Family style dining is where they put food on the table for you and the menu is prefixed then you pass the food around to your party. Excellent food was homemade and bread pudding was my choice for dessert and it was marvelous.

We just had dinner here and I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door. The interior is original with the most amazing floor! Now, on to the food...
I have Celiac Disease and called ahead and asked about gluten free options. I was told that they can make anything they serve gluten free and that is exactly what they did. I was able to have the same meal as my husband, with just a few alterations to my servings. They even served me gluten free dinner rolls! Everything was so good! My husband said the imperial crab is the best crab dish he has ever had.
Don't miss this place on your trip!

The service and atmosphere is why I even gave this a two star rating instead of one. The food is absolutely some of the worst I have had. The crab imperial is good but not great and thats where the compliments stop for this meal. The salad was nothing more than iceberg with some shreds of cheddar, no tomato, no other greens, no croutons or nuts or, I think you get the idea. The potatoes where boiled then dusted with French onion soup mix, welcome to the 70's. The green beans and carrots were canned and completely tasteless mush, Asparagus is in season why not just do that? The cornbread chicken breast was so awful, no cornbread flavor and of course the chicken was bland and oddly soft as well. The mustard glazed ham was missing the glaze and pretty dry.
The only way I would every eat here again would be if it was convenient for a larger family gathering and even then I would make it my last choice.
