We had been looking for Faux-beams for a considerable amount of time without any luck. Many vendors were either not willing to meet our timeframe or the cost was prohibitive. We call Susie at Hewn Elements. Best call we could've made. Not only was Hewn Elements able to manufacture our beams within our budget, but Susie and team were able to meet our shorten timeframe. Wonderful folks to deal with. Product and finishes are top quality. Not inexpensive per say, but considering they cost less then faux foam products...yep, less than fake products that look fake, they are more than fairly prices!! If you want the look and feel of REAL wood with real finishes and real textures for less, contact the nice folks at Hewn Elements. You won't be sorry!
Loved the product (chicken coop spruce); it looks much better than the photos on line; it really looks like the real deal (and it doesn't stink like the real thing).
Staff was really responsive to questions with a quick turn around and mailed materials (including a touch up kit) the day after each request. They even made it personal with the full name and photo of the person you were dealing with.

If you go to Hewn's Elements Web Site you will see our home on their cover page. This is a 'Modern Barn' we had designed and built, completed in 2019. My main contribution to the project was discovering Hewn Elements! It is a house of glass and steel, we wanted it to look like a modern barn. The problem is that traditional barn board is often warped, bug infested, uneven, and often rotten. It would not work with the precision we required. We could not be more thrilled with the outcome. Our Architects and Builder, Birdseye Design, loved it and are using it on another project. It has all the beauty of barn board but the stability and consistency of new lumber. The team at Hewn have also been delightful to work with! If there was a sixth star to give I would gladly give it to them. Thanks Hewn Elements!!!!!!
Hewn Elements supplied custom-made wood beams for the ceiling and fireplace mantle of our home for a renovation project we completed several months ago. Not only did the beams come out beautiful and with the highest level of quality evident but we were extremely impressed with their professionalism and service. When one of our beams arrived accidentally damaged after delivery across the country by ground transport, Hewn Elements was extremely professional and generous to make this situation right. They made & sent us a replacement beam expeditiously, so as to not cause undue delay on our renovation deadlines, and did all this free of additional charge. We will definitely be using Hewn Elements for future custom wood needs in our home and have/will continue to recommend them to all of our friends.
Could not be more pleased with the ordering experience....had ordered a distressed box beam to cover a lolly column in my kitchen. The shipping was over $400 dollars to NY which for the cost of the beam at $700 had me wrestling with paying up for delivery of what looks to be a real solid quality product. I called to cancel the order and was just overwhelmed by the help that Suzie offered me in order to get the product down to a more manageable size that was now deliverable by UPS, shortened the lead time by weeks and save me over $300 dollars. Thank You, Hewn Elements! This is our second order and we've been astounded at the quality of the box beams that we've ordered. The craftsmanship is expert and the friendly sales (Trevor) and logistical staff (Susie and Tabitha) really went out of their way to ensure that we got both the exact product for our needs and at a fair price point. I personally found the website installation videos extremely helpful as we do our own installation in our home. hardly ever take the time to recommend anyone as I m very busy and time is short however I had to with this company. I knew nothing about ceiling beams besides the fact that I knew I wanted them. I did my due diligence shopping and comparing all companies that produced them. Not just price but texture, lead times, weight, customization, you name it. Before I even had an excellent experience with Hewn, they stood out in appearance by a landslide. Then was price. They re middle of the road on that which was the most surprising considering their finished product but you get what you pay for. If you want a Rolex, a timex simply wont do. Susie and Trevor hand tailored renderings and all applicable angles for me as well as addressed all of my customizations and concerns nearly immediately. No waiting. Back and forth pleasant calls and emails. Sending samples. Allowing me the time to make a choice yet not holding up production. I cannot say enough great things about this wonderful company.
