Het Depot was founded in 2005 by three friends who shared a passion for music. They wanted to create a space where people could come together to enjoy live performances from both established and up-and-coming artists. The venue quickly gained popularity among locals and visitors alike due to its unique atmosphere and diverse range of events.

Over the years, Het Depot has hosted numerous concerts featuring renowned artists such as Triggerfinger, Novastar, Ozark Henry, Gabriel Rios, Hooverphonic, Selah Sue & many more. In addition to concerts by established musicians Het Depot also offers opportunities for emerging talent through its "De Nieuwe Lichting" program which provides young musicians with the chance to showcase their talents on stage.

Some notable past performers include Triggerfinger (Belgium), Novastar (Belgium), Ozark Henry (Belgium), Gabriel Rios (Puerto Rico/Belgium) Hooverphonic (Belgium) Selah Sue(Belgium) etc .

In addition to hosting concerts by established musicians het depot also offers opportunities for emerging talent through its "De Nieuwe Lichting" program which provides young musicians with the chance to showcase their talents on stage.

Festivals at Het Depot

Apart from regular concerts throughout the year het depot also organizes several festivals annually including:

1) Half Oogst Festival - This festival takes place every August & features upcoming Belgian bands playing across multiple stages.
2) Rockvonk - This festival takes place every two years & focuses on showcasing new Belgian rock bands.
3) Supernova - This festival takes place annually in November & features upcoming electronic acts playing across multiple stages.
4) Jazz Comes To Town - This festival takes place annually in December & features jazz acts playing across multiple venues throughout Leuven city center.


Facilities at Het Depot

The concert hall itself can accommodate up-to 1200 people standing or 500 seated making it one of Belgium's largest independent venues . It boasts state-of-the-art sound equipment ensuring high-quality audio experiences during all events held here . There are two bars inside serving drinks along with snacks like sandwiches etc .
