Got thrown out of hotel due to lockdown and moved here. They are so impossible to deal with housing benefits just keep asking the same questions never believe a word you say. I had to stop due to them giving me a heart attack. Truly the worst experience I ve ever had.
I am in the process of moving to Borehamwood, the lady called Francis at the desk was was absolutely helpful and professional. She gave me great advice and help towards my worried enquiry. I am a single mother of two babies so I needed housing advice. Thank you for not judging me as a single unemployed mother, especially as she saw that I actually have worked before in Oxford Street and right now want to find work again and settle in the borough peacefully!!
Not bad. Worse. They do nothing to help, they're only interested to get as much money out of you they can, in getting nothing in reverse. Not social, not co- operative. Abysmal performance on everything.
I was attended to by a very nice and professional lady called Mel she was very patient and assisted me with all information I needed as a first time renter that s got no experience and done everything wrong. Thanks for all your support.
I can't even give half a star for the dreadful service provided by Hertsmere planning control. They agreed planning to an extension that 4 professional people have agreed should not have been allowed. I have made an official complaint and they have not even responded in the timelines they promise to. If they have done nothing wrong then why can't they reply...? 3 weeks have passed and I am still waiting for a response. The 1 star given is compulsory but I will allow that for Josh & Kelsey who unlike everyone else have actually got the manners to respond to emails and telephone calls.
Thieves and crooks. Councils do not give you any help to grow a business and wonder why companies are closing everyday. Start helping businesses and people won't be loosing their jobs daily.
Came today as web page shows 5.15 pm close. Arrived to see loads of staff leaving they have a half day ! Could the web page please give up-to-date information to save a disabled lady coming all the way in to borehamwood offices to find it closed!! I also called main number and normal hours were stated and only a reference to bank holidays was on the message, no information on opening hours reffered to today and it was half day and would be closed from 2pm. Can some one look into sorting out that the correct and up to date information is given on phone and on web pages. Takes me time effort and pain to make journey into offices.
They do absolutely nothing for the local community.
They are generally extremely rude and dismissive. My daughter and I were made unintentionally homeless and they treated us like low life scroungers
They were fast getting everything done.They also keep hertsmere clean and maintain the affluent title quite well.It's a thumbs up from me.
I have used a number of services from the Council. they are professional and I have found the Building Control, Street Cleaning and residential Parking permit teams to be fantastic. To be fair I have not been on the bad side of the Council so no negative experiences. I have always found they answer questions very quickly when emailed in.
A monopolized, bias and destructive council run by uninformed un- knowledgable and uneducated people being relative new comers to the area with only self interests and self promotion at heart and by deed. The racial influences are zoning the Town and appropriation of funding with quangos style cliques governing decisions.
