Hermosa Vet Clinic Review

Everyone who works at Hermosa Veterinary Clinic is extremely helpful and nice!! I have been very happy with the medical services and care my pets have received.

I had to put my sweet feral Kitty down today. I live by Hermosa but had not been there yet. I called yesterday and they accommodated me for today. Dr Gulzow and her staff were kind & compassionate & professional. I appreciated them all so very much. Thank you!

My dog needed to be seen before the last encounter and we were told she needed emergency surgery the person on the phone said we don t do that and hung up on us. This time we made an appointment for Friday they said they called us Wednesday with the wrong number.( we changed the number the last two times we went there) The receptionist said that nobody could see my dog Friday for my appointment because all of a sudden they do emergency surgeries. And no other doctors are on call. They also told me another patients/families information about a dogs leg needing to be amputated. Also they lady didn t want to help the family next to us get there dog out of the car and just gave up and said to reschedule. If your looking for help or professionalism they aren t the place to go. Rude staff poor service. The first time we went to get my dogs shots it took 5 hours because they took on shelter dogs and didn t tell any of the paying patients.

Will not be returning! I took my boxer in because he started losing hair on his sides, had an appointment for 10:30, he didn't get taken inside until 11:15! The vet called me & said she was very sure he has a thyroid problem, that she has seen that type of hair loss & it means the thyroid is bad. She told me she wanted to draw some blood for a blood panel & then we could get him on medication after the results come in. I waited for a week & heard nothing back, I called them & asked about the results, only for them to tell me he has nothing wrong with him! That blood test was $300!! He also got 2 shots which brought the total to $400!! I agreed to the test because I love my boxer & believed the vet knew what she was talking about, we can't afford to just throw money away like this. It was a complete waste of money, also why did I have to call them?! They should have called me, now they want me to take my dog back in because they have no idea why he's losing hair. Absolutely not! I will never take him back there!!

Seems this is no longer a low cost veterinarian clinic.
You have to call to check in upon arrival but I wasn't notification of that until I got my god out and walked to the door while she was very cold. The information and number would have been helpful in advance.

Dr. Anderson was the calm amidst the storm when our American bulldog Beano ripped one of her nails off the quick the day before our vacation. There was blood everywhere but she just smiled, stayed calm, and took care of our pup. Dr. Anderson even made her self available to our dog sitter when Beano ripped of the dressing on her paw while we were in the mountains. Prices were super reasonable. Thank you Dr. Anderson and staff for taking such wonderful care of our dear Beano. You and the crew are amazing!!!

We did have a 2:45 appointment and had to wait outside for 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time and it was a very hot day, maybe call ahead and check if they are running behind. Once called in the staff and Dr. Anderson were super professional and accomidating. It's worth the wait if you love your pet.

I only give this 4 stars because I only had to put my dog down.. they did very well with that and with getting me her ashes.. I do not have any knowledge of their veterinary skills.. they did do a really good job setting up a place to have to do "the deed"...

If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would. They are a nightmare to deal with and their customer service is atrocious. Disorganized, dishonest, and no communication.

The rescue I fostered through requires that I use them for my foster pup. I have an excellent vet across town that I really wish I could use. Arrived for my 8am apt at 8:03- called to notify - and they didn t take him in until 8:35. When I asked why I made an 8am apt, they claimed it was because I was late. Laughable. Then admitted they double booked and only have 1 doctor. Not sure how places like this stay in business. I guess you get what you pay for. Would not recommend!
