I can go on and on about what I loved about this place, however I will get to the chase. Amazing food - finally a bitterballen worth outside of Amsterdam. Do it. The beer selection is fantastic! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. They will help you select the beer you would like and let you sample too. There was not a single thing we did not like. Everything was on point. Due to Covid19, they are practicing social distancing, and they are doing great about it. If there is a place that I felt safe going to eat and enjoying a nice evening with the wife, this place is it. Can't wait to come back and try more beers and more of the food. 11/10

Facility is very nice tons of space outside area with upper and lower levels. Friends of mine got food and said it was very good. The beer on the other hand was just fair to me. The facility itself I would have given a 4 but I gave a 3 due to the poor service I received on the evening I was there. I understand service can vary day to day but I have not been ignored like that by multiple servers in quite some time.

I know this is a bar/restaurant/brewery- but they also have AMAZING coffee and breakfast! I was shocked to find that they open at 8am. So good.

This place is amazing! The food, drinks, vibe, service. All stellar. The menu is a modern take on traditional Belgian fare, with some tasteful additions like wood fired pizza.

I was very impressed. Very cool space; mix of modern and monastery. Good selection of Belgian beers (the tripel was my favorite), but they also had a decent IPA and DIPA. Some beers seemed light for their style, but none were bad. Didn't eat the food but it looked amazing and okay prices. $14 burger kinda place. But their upstairs area is what really sold the experience. Amazing lounging area with projector playing the game. But there's also a little book nook area with a decent book selection, but I thought it was cool that you could buy a book there. But that's just the English teacher in me nerding out.

Absolutely excellent experience! While everything, from the service to the ambiance to the beer was great, the food was the shining star. We started with the bitterballen, which were absolutely delicious and reminded me of Amsterdam. Next I had the smoked bacon mussels with frites and truffle aioli, which were amazing. My wife ordered a pizza and raved about it. All of the portions were generous and I thought the prices were a great value considering the amount and quality of the food. Can't wait to go back!

Hands down the best ahi tuna salad, the best burger, the best pizza, the best staff, the best decor and vibes! LOVE this place!

It may be the coolest space of any Atlanta brewery. The large windows and wooden decor sell the monastic theme while the books (for sale) and large projector screen upstairs keeps everyone entertained. The wood-fired pizza and fries with curry sauce were killer. We enjoyed both the beer and the full cocktail menu. Really looking forward to when the outdoor beer garden gets developed!

First time visiting this place. It was amazing. I had the waffles and I am still thinking about how good they were. Every person at our table was in love with their food. The beer selection is also great. I will 100% be back!! The service was also standout. The servers were knowledgeable helpful. You can tell they really work as a team.

Love the location and space! Waited at the bar for a bit, but we received our beers and food really fast once our order was placed. I asked our bartender to pick her favorite sauce for the fries and it did not disappoint; Make sure to get the Smoked Tomato and Bearnaise! Also the Bold Monk White Oak White is really good! Can t wait to go back to try brunch!

We stopped by here last Wednesday for some beer tasting and was surprised how great the food were too. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I like being able to sit outside under the covered walkway and there are plenty of spaces between other tables. Will definitely come back to try some more of their beers and food.

This newly opened addition to the Atlanta scene was a gem of my visit to this lovely and amazing city. As a Seattleite, with the cold snap in the air, I forgot I was away from home here.

The space is large and open, a solid Pacific Northwest vibe with a modern update and classic antique touches. It feels at once comfortable and classy. The owner's crushed velvet jacket with jeans and well chosen shoes tells me exactly where the restaurant's vision came from.

The flower in his lapel is the level of customer care. Despite being overwhelmed with an unexpected group of 40+ in their upstairs bar, being temporarily understaffed for the evening, and completely full on only their 5th weekend, our 2 person table was not overlooked. The waitstaff always had a smile, a sense of humor or lightness, no one seemed overwhelmed, and when things were comped, they were done so quietly. Again, classy.

We had beyond what we needed despite the wait, with a round on the house, and our steak frites arrived hot and medium-rare with crispy fries and perfectly executed bearnaise. When the quality is worth the wait, the wait is worth the quality.

The in-house and guest draught lists are impressive, so come ready for a tap room experience.

LOVE the Belgian beer here as well as their signature Russian imperial stout! Food is great and the decor is absolutely 100% fab. Want to make up an event just to hold it here!

Last night we had dinner with another couple at the Bold Monk. Unfortunately there was a problem with the service and one of the starters. I complained to the manager and he handled the situation in a very professional manner and the server apologized. They turned a potentially bad experience into a very good one. Also the food was very good. Without hesitation I can recommend the Bold Monk.

Very neat place with a great vibe and good selection of beers. Our bartender Chad was awesome. Appetizers are good and service is exceptional! The sitting area upstairs is nice of you'd want to read a book while sipping some beers.

Truly a stunning and unique space, very friendly staff and owner. Had a great cup of coffee and a beer here. Thrilled to have them on the Westside. They will be successful and rightfully so.

Had a round of beers in the covered outdoor space with plenty of space around us to keep distanced. Felt very comfortable and safe, plus there is a huge fan to keep the space cool. Will be back!

Stopped in on our drive through Georgia. Sampled several drafts of their own brewing and all were very good. The mussels were GREAT, and the chicken was excellent as well. Great service, beers, and food. What more could you want?

More than a brewery! They have a great facility, with a great staff, and AMAZING food.

Their Belgian Influenced beer selection is unique to the area, which makes this place stand out from the other local breweries.

Another Note: you can make a reservation on Open Table, which is a huge plus, if you need to find a spot for a group to hangout on a weekend.

The Bold Monk is a newer addition to the Atlanta craft beer scene, but this local gem also offers wine, cocktails, and (importantly) tasty food! While our group didn't love the cereal milk flight, we tried a wide variety of the beers brewed on site and enjoyed all of them! They have a saison that's not currently on the menu that was absolutely phenomenal. The breakfast burrito was amazing. And to top things off, on Sundays it's 90s themed so we jammed to some old school hits all afternoon. Normally I post pictures when a place is this good, but I've lost my reviewing practice after this COVID crisis. I'll be sure to snag a few the next time I visit (which will be very soon).

On the COVID front, this team has some heavy precautions in place which I applaud them for. If you're wanting to venture out again, this is a location you can feel good about visiting.

Atmosphere is great. Service was good. Just get there early, because it gets busy busy on weekends.

I've been here a few times since they've opened and have been consistently impressed with the quality of service, food, and overall experience. The servers are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. They are constantly rotating the beer they brew on site and I like that they also have guest beers on tap. If you haven't been yet, you should check it out.

Great, great, great! Really enjoyed the Belgian beers, Brussels sprouts and the guanciale mussels. Lots of great things on the menu to try!

The food, beer, and coffee are all so delicious All of the employees are sweet and seem to enjoy working there. We've tried brunch (they have red eye gravy ), lunch, and dinner...every bite has been amazing. So happy to have a local pub with such amazing food!

Awesome new brewery/restaurant that opened about a month ago. Atmosphere is great and they did an awesome job with the design, very unique. Had the fries and the Thai pizza which were both great, friendly and good service. Will be back again soon

Don t bother coming here. The wings were breaded and fried, Publix style, which is definitely not the ATL standard for wings. Sauce was a basic sweet chili sauce. The staff was unfamiliar with the beer list and had conflicting responses on which beers were actually available, which doesn t inspire confidence. The pizza is fine, not great, and in the range of personal-sized for $12-$15.

This place is owned by Max s Lagers parent company and it really shows. All of the shortcomings of Max s, from lackluster beer to mediocre food, are present here. Once again, stay far far away. If you want better food, there are far better places on this side of town. Also, too many good breweries on the Westside to settle for mediocre. This place is just the New Realm of the Westside.

Went here randomly on a Saturday morning and was thoroughly impressed. Very impressive space for a new brewery. Coffee was wonderful, they have a full espresso bar. Our server Ruben was super personable and friendly, he gave us a full tour of the brewery, including the upstairs bar and lounge space (which is beautiful). He seemed very happy and proud to be working on here, which coming from the service industry myself, is a big indicator of things being done right and well. I got the hot chicken waffle which was amazing and my date got the burrito which was great as well. We did a flight to try the beer and it didn t disappoint either. My favorite was the coffee stout. We will be back for sure!

This was my very first restaurant visit since Covid and Bold Monk did not disappoint. The location was specifically chosen because of the large, open air / patio dining option. The way they handled guests, distancing and keeping all safe was top notch!
As was the food.
We ordered The 1838 and The 1850 pizzas along with the Midtown Rita - all were absolutely delicious! The 1850 I received looked slightly different than the other pics posted in reviews but I just chalk that up to menu changes due to supply chain issues. No biggie, it was still delicious I would say the crust is what makes the pizzas so outstanding here.
It's really hard not to order pizza whenever on the menu but I cannot wait to go back and try something different. Two thumbs up.

I do not know where to begin on how much I love Bold Monk and their team. My husband and I were one of the many weddings that had to move their large celebration due to COVID-19. We were too impatient to wait until next March so we decided to elope this past weekend. We wanted to get a small group of our friends together afterwards and Bold Monk provided us the entire upstairs area for us. The service was incredible and so patient with us being that I know we can be a lot sometimes. We had the best time and will always be coming back to Bold Monk as well as advertise it to all of our friends who live or are visiting Atlanta. I cannot put into words how much I appreciate the Bold Monk team. Thank you for making a stressful situation during these hard times, an enjoyable one.

Fantastic space and delicious food - a welcome addition to the Westside neighborhood.

Tried flights of the beers that they had available and for the styles that they were, they were very good, but it was the food and service that was well above excellent. We started with the frites with the smoked tomato and truffle aiolis, both were incredible. Then we tried the guanciali mussels and it blew out mind. So flavorful! We would definitely come back!

Beer is good, fries are great, salad was good. Pizza was the only thing that was really lacking and not even close to being on par with other breweries in the city.

Awesome atmosphere! Excellent service! Great food! Visiting from Houston for the weekend and this is the place we will recommend to anyone visiting the area! Absolutely the sweet spot of Atlanta!

One of best brewpub in Atlanta hands down! The food is great and the beer selection is amazing!

Poised to be one of the top craft beer experiences in Atlanta, this incredible space is only dwarfed by two of the Kings of Atlanta Craft: John "Beer Dad" Roberts and Neal Engelman (long time, award-winning Brewer from Wrecking Bar fame). Featuring both in-house brews and some of the top beers in the A as guest drafts, no devout beer feel should miss a visit. The food is also outstanding and approachable and the staff was courteous and helpful. And the space! Oh boy. A gorgeous wood bar, intimate booths, and several potential event spaces overlooking the brewery do not encroach on the comfy library and intimate seating featuring unexpected views of woods! I am very much looking forward to spending more time at Bold Monk, and so should you!

I visited Bold Monk Brewing for a work gathering on December 17th, 2019. We were seated in the upstairs lounge space and it was the PERFECT setting for our end of the year gathering. The food was phenomenal, the bartender was excellent and the overall attentiveness of their staff was top notch. While I'm already anticipating hosting an event there for the 2020 campaign, personally, I'm so glad the West side has another spot to gather! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Found out about this place when we saw their label on tap at Pour Taproom. We decided to check it out the next day and we were pleasantly surprised. Atlanta seems to only have warehouse, bare-boned edgy breweries but this one stands out for its style and thoughtfully designed interior and grounds. The second floor in particular feels more like a speakeasy than a tasting room. The arched ceiling is reminiscent of a trendy underground Euro bar. The food also delighted us, lamb burger and ham and cheese were our favorites. Excellent new brewery, we only wish we would have found out about it sooner, they should advertise more. We will definitely be returning!

By far the best brewery experience in Atlanta, and also one of the best food and cocktail experiences! Genuinely appreciated the thoughtful precautions they are taking in regards to Covid and cleanliness within the restaurant. Amazing experience all around!

We love this place! Service is always amazing and the staff is thoughtful and kind. Bartenders and servers seem excited about working there so it makes you excited about being there too. Food is high quality and they have fun cocktails as well as beer. It feels like such a different type of place to hang out (so many options of spaces to check out in the brewery).

Highly recommend the IPA flight. Trey was great and had the bartender make a delicious mocktail. Cozy setting with different vibes to choose from: bar seating, upstairs lounge, velvet booths, outdoor hangout. Highly recommend. Staff wore masks and provided hand sanitizer to everyone entering the premise.

Fantastic atmosphere, especially the upstairs area. Really unique design aesthetic that makes you feel cozy like you are in a library/living room. The addition of a few kid-friendly aspects like small scale chairs was nice as well. We all really enjoyed the food, draft beers, and had great interactions with the staff.

Fun air and a magnificent worth! Brew, glass to bring home, unrecorded music and nourishment accessible as well.

I am pretty cautious when it comes to going out during the pandemic. But Bold Monk did it right! They have an awesome area out back and all the staff wore masks the right way-no chin straps or nose exposure. On top of that they were very friendly, the beer was perfection, and the apps we ordered were great. Will definitely be going back!

I started with the Attainment double IPA. It was very well done. The food menu looked amazing. I have the steak tartar. It was excellent. An interesting twist on a dish I really enjoy. The chef seemed to have made it his own. The atmosphere was good. They had a great bar area. They have a full bar and would be a great place to bring the friend that doesn't like beer. I will be back for the beer and food!

Scott is truly amazing at what he does. Made my first date a huge success. He gave excellent drink options and app selections! Drinks we re amazing! Not a big brussels sprouts fan but here they were fantastic as well as the fries! His wife gave great insight on the menu as well and the pizza was a great choice! The atmosphere was very nice and clean. They even provided masks for customers to wear while walking around the facility or to your table. Very safe and great place to visit. I will be back with friends and family!

Great food and space. service was excellent. Only issue is the very loud and not very good music in the bar area. Painful. Highly recommend but check out the noise in the bar and if too loud for you, ask to sit in the back where it is OK. Even the hostess said the sound level interferes with her hearing customers. Hope they can adjust this as we like to sit at the bar and share bites.

My wife and i tried out Bold Monk for a date night. The atmosphere of the place is cool-vibe and laid back. The Server was excellent. He provided great service, was attentive, but also had a real funny sense of humor that helped make the dinner experience more fun! He also was generous in allowing us to do some real small taste-tests of some of the brews before we went all-in with our choice. Their craft beer selection was great and varied for all/most tastes. We ordered the Pork Chop and Salmon entrees, which were both fantastic. We'll definitely be back

This place has it all. Their beers are great, the food is awesome, and their space is stunning. But this brewpub and restaurant also boasts one of the best cocktail programs in Atlanta.

Bold Monk beers are Euro-centric, with some tasty American IPAs thrown in. They have a private room in the back with large open foeders that will lead to some interesting Saisons and sours. My wife and I like different styles of beer, but we ve both enjoyed everything we ve tried at Bold Monk.

The food is reminiscent of what you d find in a modern, hip pub nestled within a 400 year-old building in the heart of Brussels or Amsterdam. The menu offers elevated-but-not-pretentious bar food with salads, pizzas, sandwiches, and entrees. Do not skip the Brussels sprouts app or the Bitterballen snacks.

Bold Monk is a brewery and restaurant with great beer and great food, but my favorite offering of theirs is the cocktail menu. They focus on boozy classics with high quality spirits and unique twists. Their cocktails are inventive yet familiar, often rotating, and simply delicious.

I am fortunate enough to live nearby, and I frequented this place a lot before covid. I visited them this weekend once they reopened, and I was happy to see them open and busy in these tough times. If you couldn t tell, I highly recommend!

Great food, brews and cocktails. The atmosphere is excellent. Our server, Sherlay, was personable and found the perfect balance between being accessible and giving us space. 5/5 would recommend.

Never heard of this place before so we decided to try it out . We didn't eat food there but the beer was especially good. Our group wants to definitely come back for dinner and drinks sometime!

I have found my new favorite spot!!! We love this place, it s such a hidden gem. Love the vibe. The service is impeccable! Haley and Scott are our favorites. They always seem to be there and they are always so pleasant. they make us feel so welcome and take such great care of us . They are knowledgeable of the food menu and the bar menu. Drinks came quickly (and were great) , food came quickly, orders were correct, and the food was soooooooooooo good. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts as an app. And I loved the delicious fall off the bone wings. Can t go wrong with the pizza either. Overall a great experience! Can t wait to go back. Also- looked like the upstairs has a fantastic area for a private party! You will definitely be seeing us again!!

Absolutely amazing! Great experience, the vibe is nice, perfect mix with amazing beer and a comfortable atmosphere, Tasted the cocktails as well as a beer they paired very well with the bouillabaisse flavored mussels! The chef and manager stopped by. We will return!

This place is pure magic. Staff is incredibly friendly, beer is delicious, and the best food. We ordered half the menu and ate every bite. Also, to make this place more magical there is a full bookstore upstairs with plenty of tables sofas. If I could live here I could. Definitely plan to spend some time here!

Really nice place. I love the vibe, and could see myself here nightly if lived near by. For me to come here its was a hour drive, but it was super easy to find. Plus you pass a few other brewery's on the way. There was more than enough parking spaces is the back, just follow the signs. The gentleman at the door was a great host, he sanitized my hands and gave me a free mask and escorted me to the bar. (There was plenty of seating inside and outside.) The host even brought my Six pac to the bar( Cold too). I payed $10even for their Quad. Great price!.... I wish I could have ate there too but I was short on time, and budget... But I will be back.... AF

The premises are beautiful, with a ton of spaces that offer a variety of ambiance including a lively bar, more intimate tables/ booths, a fun upstairs including a library, and a great private dining area for groups. The food is good, though a touch on the pricey side and the the libations on offer are agreeable for their price range.

Great atmosphere. Every floor/room has a different unique feel. Excellent food, beer, and cocktail/wine selection for the non beer drinker.

Great dinner and experience even with the new social distancing rules. They keep us feeling safe. We keep coming back here because of the amazing staff. The sanitation and food safety and quality are critical bonuses.

Wasn't able to try their beers as they were sold out of ones that weren't IPAs. Love the atmosphere of this space! Ordered a few dishes, not many options for healthy dishes and vegetarian. Seemed overpriced and average food. Definitely want to go back to try their beers.

Came in last night (Saturday 1/18) and had an awesome experience in there! Walked in and was immediately greeted by 2 beautiful hostess and was sat in a timely matter they were VERY BUSY but i was still sat within 10 minutes , my server Jose was amazing i absolutely loved him !! my girlfriend and I had the salmon and Mussels ( which they give you a great portion of) and had some amazing beer! I wish i could give this place 100 stars ! Great atmosphere and amazing service i will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others! Thank you guys so much
