Wish I read these reviews before I changed doctors...

Wish I read these reviews before I changed doctors to them. Miserable. Unprofessional. Rude. Nasty.... Not all of them. You can hear who hates their job for sure. Over 10 phone calls as a new patient and to get meds filled. Literally changed providers upon first meeting (Talking to) my original PCP over the phone, Dr. Thompson. Beyond rude. Within seconds of talking to her I requested a new doctor. I didn t even know doctors even handled themselves like that. Especially on a recorded line. I asked to speak to someone about my experience and it was pretty much brushed off. So don t bother filing a complaint with them directly, their reps won t transfer you. Anyways. Hopefully I have a good experience with the new provider I was assigned, Dr. Blankenstein. If I don t, I ll happily change doctors offices.

Henry J. Austin is a health center where you can literally get healthcare from everything from your feet to your teeth. They even have a pharmacy! They don't turn people away for not being able to pay-they assust you in getting insurance and if you aren't eligible, give you a more than reasonable self pay sliding scale. The cost is less than most people's co-pays. Their pharmacy prices are super affordable and they even have grants to help out there too! They do have longer waits and don't count on getting anyone on the phone ever, other than to make an appointment. Bu to all in all, they are pretty amazing.

Terrible! All of these locations are unavailable 90% of the time by phone. Appointments are never available less than 1-2 weeks in the future, although 1 month is the normal advance appointment I've experienced in the 6 years that I've been taking my daughter here. And their Saturday clinic is a joke! No help for your sick child if they don't have a fever or an appointment. Staff, while pleasant most of time, have no idea whats happening and cant help you without OK from Dr. in charge. Dr. wants to go home, so he refuses anymore patients even though waiting room is almoat empty and the clinic is supposed to be open until 1p.m. Very poor service from people who do not care about the patients.

If you want to feel disrespected and feel as if you don t even have a doctor that stinks of your best interest and this is the place to go. My wife went to see her primary doctor she s been under her care for almost 5 years now and the doctor rescheduled two times and finally had her see a nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner suddenly stopped my wife and all her medication even though my wife was explaining to her that she s been on these medications for years. None of these medications were controlled substances while. He s more simple medication like blood pressure medication, depression medication, Etc. she saw the last last practitioner they need her see and this complete idiot wrote my wife a prescription for seven days on the SSRI. My wife went the entire weekend having with drawls and headache to the point that we almost had to take her to the hospital. We called on numerous occasions to request a refill. Customer service is extremely rude. You can get nothing done with them. They are ghetto and unprofessional. They really need to shut this clinic down or find new management because at this point all they re doing is billing insurance companies for horrible service they provide. It was once a clinic that was free so they had all the excuses to be disrespectful and rude but now they except all major insurance carriers and have two pretty decent doctors there. But what you have to go through to get good health care at Henry J Austin s worth it. Call the back of your insurance Card and try to find a different doctor.

They need to just shut this place down already. The act as if they have one doctor!! I made and appointment two weeks ahead and was told the day before the doctor wouldn t be able to see me for another TWO WEEKS! Are you kidding me!!

Highly recommend HJA!! Everyone from the pharmacy, Drs., Dentists & admin. staff have been a true blessing to me especially during Covid19 when they're dealing with so much. Thank you all :-)

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I had my first appt 07/10 schedu...

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I had my first appt 07/10 scheduled at 1pm & didnt get to the back till 3pm (least of my worries) being that its been TWO WHOLE DAYS & the doc still hasnt sent over my meds to my pharmacy!! Not to mention the MAJOR attitude Im given from the Call Center & Administration just because Im calling to check the status of my meds "AS I SHOULD"! WHAT A DUMP! UNORGANIZED, HUGE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, RUDE, IMPATIENT & INCONSIDERATE! I can go on & on but that sums up this place! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME HERE!!!

The staff is very unprofessional there highly would not recommend this place they put a sign uo saying they will be back from break at 1 pm 2 pm comes and still noone back from break or a person to even register you in after signing in just worst experience all around the board.

Today I don't know if they where there to Work, to Chat and the Men in the front was Eating at 9am instead of help the Patient. I took my kids and my self for Blood Work. The Ladie in the Front Desk give us a ticket # and told us to wait across the room. Too many People were waiting, and other walk out because of the Wait. After we waited 45 minutes their didn't call One Patient, my daugther asked wait nobody call and the front ladies said that we were sitting in the wrong area, I told her that she send us there and the Men that was Eating when we walk in told us to go back. I got upset and walkout. Service

Please do not subject your child to the "care" of ...

Please do not subject your child to the "care" of this facility. Very unprofessional and rude. If you have Medicaid they don't care about your child. My daughter's pediatrician didn't seem to care about my daughter's health.
They would not see my daughter for over 4 months and for her 1 year check up they did a phone call and would not schedule us for my child's 1 year vaccinations. They expected to just have us come when she was 18 months. Every time I called the office it was a hassle and no one could give me an answer as to why they wouldn't see my daughter
Every other doctors office I've looked into is taking patients in with caution of course for covid 19. There was no sense of urgency to check up on my child's health. 0-12 months are very crucial for development.
Numerous times I asked about a bump on my child's head and they dismissed it until I took her to a specialist and she had a cyst on her skull! No one at this office cared to look into it probably because we had Medicaid at the time.
Very disappointed in this place. Bring your child somewhere safer. We switched doctors ASAP.

Exceptional Service from a staff of professionals that actually care and know who I am upon arrived from the front door to the back. Talented, courteous, and passionate people that take pride in providing individual service, based on knowledge of knowing their patients problems and needs. Never have I received such personalities exceptional service in any private medical setting...Thank you HJAHCC!!!

Wait times are ridiculous, staff is very unprofessional. Don t even want to give this office 1 star. I will be changing doctors as soon as possible. Bellevue office is terrible. 2 1/2 hours for a physical for my daughter. Come back for a shot thinking we ll be in and out because we don t have to see the doctor over an hour and half wait.

I'm giving this organization a three. The service can be iffy... I have been a customer since I was a little girl (I am 29, I also no longer live in NJ period) and most consisently since 2017-8. I say a three because there was 1 occasion where I had an appointment at the Chambers Street location for MH services, that I nor my brother, who was my Emergency Contact, were not made aware of. For the record, this was brought up to the employee who was supposed to have made the call(s). My brother does work and does not check his phone all the time.. but if a voicemail had come through, he would have checked it, and if he missed it, he would have owned up and apologized.. but yes.. I have no problems with the people from 2017- on and anything prior to 2013 at mininum likely would no longer be in your system.

So.. I would just say to take everything you read that others have said into consideration of your unique situation. I predominantly received mental health services, and I really liked the Chambers location when it was not insanely crowded and loud (that's just not good for me as a person with my life experiences.. I don't do loud and I don't do crowded.. but I can do crowded if you're reasonably quiet; so your little Timmy is not running around and screaming like a banshee). Warren location is OK as well.

So, it's a game of chance. My overall experience warrants a 3-star rating.

This is the worse place for whatever your need is.the dentist molded my teeth for a partial.and messed it up twice.sent it back.and it still didn't fit.slow service.un skilled or old dentist who can no longer perform good service.and they would not even send it back for another fix.SMH! Don't Go Here!
