As far as product, Helwig is at the top of their game. There is an incredible amount of engineering, scientific, manufacturing, and customer service experience here. There are very few customer problems that Helwig can't find an answer for, and all of the products are high quality, high precision, highly tested solutions to any need. Helwig is also investing a lot of money and talent into automation and precision engineering to get customer products at the highest quality, lowest price possible. I've been in the manufacturing industry for a long time and this is the company I've been the most proud to work for.
I have an old Curtis Air Compressor and the brushes went bad on the Century's 2 hp motor. I removed the brushes, miced them, made a drawing and sent it to Helwig. They made me the two pair of brushes and they worked perfectly. Their Customer Service department worked with me and were very helpful. Thanks for getting this old motor running again.
