I have donated to Helping Up Mission for many years because I like helping the hungry and homeless.

Flew here to get help from Florida after being refrenced by a friend and willing to dedicate myself to the program. They "allowed" me to spend the night, treated me like an animal, led me to believe I would be accepted in only to turn me away with no explanation whatsoever. Thanks. Now I'm cold when I could be in Florida. God bless you

Full disclosure, I am a graduate staff member at Helping Up Mission. That being said, I can personally account that GOD used HUM to save and transform my life in 2006-2007. The HUM family is certainly imperfect, but full of compassionate people who care deeply for others. A person's needs are met, but not immediately as there are hundreds in the program at any given time. Thanks for letting me share, I'll keep coming back!

These people are phenomenal and truly care. What's best about the mission is that they so it to help people and not for ulterior motives. They gave me and my brother our lives back.
