Helenekilde Badehotel & Tisvildeleje Strandhotel Review

The place was nice but the service of tired young people was utterly deplorable. Wifi did not work in the rooms. Room 28 was extremely spartan, no chairs, no paintings, no bedside tables, views of the parking lot and bike racks. Incredibly sensitive between rooms and floors. On the terrace with a nice view were hard sofas but thin cushions, 3 pillows were required to avoid pain. Insanely high price for the low standard. Dinner ok but served by tired staff who forgot most things.

Great view of the sea, great to walk for the water and swim. Beautiful place bathing place is located. Old building that smelled of mold in the room. Food etc was not the great experience. Operation is not like trained servants. I don't want to go there again.

Great place for a weekend stay - nothing beats the view from the hotel and the breakfast is outstanding. The dinner could be better and it s obvious for everyone that the staff have little experience in serving at a restaurant.

Location is amazing the hotel , particularly the public areas , are stunning and idyllic, but the rooms were a massive disappointment. Small and very uncomfortable bath rooms. Food service was like getting blood from a stone with a staff that were impervious to people who aren t on starvation diets. We eat healthy but the quantities of food on offer were laughable. The staff were over worked and there was no shift management in place so you often dealt with burn outs. Food when you got it was actually excellent, but you never got it! We had a few notable servers who were really nice and this is nothing against them per se just poor management and underinvestment in personnel. Hygiene was questionable and rooms were not very clean with a musty smell throughout.

VERY nice hotel, beautiful surroundings and wonderful, wonderful atmosphere .. BUT unfortunately nothing vegan is offered, which is super annoying.
Hope they will follow along and take responsibility for animal welfare, climate, our only planet and people's health in general and offer delicious vegan food.

"Delicious" frames the place with one word. Everything is just delicious, and so it puts itself completely into the body of one.

Location is absolutely perfect after all! And so you pay for that too. Really delicious food and good service. Good as a recurring experience.

It was a pleasant stay, although the rooms are quite small. The view was fantastic and the staff are tip-top friendly. Breakfast was lacking in my opinion (or I'm not accustomed to Danish buffet). Otherwise the place is very nice and easily recommendable.

A must! You can next see all the way home to Norway! Not cheap, but so what?

My daughter has a wedding at Helenekilde bath hotel. It is a really nice place to be. Super nice and good food and wine. The weather was really good with plenty of sun. Though a wedding venue

The food - both breakfast and dinner, was just fabulous and always fresh! Sea and sunset views from the window were unforgettable and staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly :)
Helenekilde is just a perfect getaway not too far away from the city, although the prices are a bit on a higher side..

It started with a very nice massage in the small pavilion and afterwards a delicious lunch.

Super beautiful location. Small standard room but with sea view. That view did it all. Cozy atmosphere and sweet staff. Lovely dinner. Can recommend white wine (see photo). Not terribly much food on the plate despite high price. For breakfast there were only 2 people to serve. Right at the bottom. We waited for 40 min. Before we got anything to eat. This despite the fact that the staff the night before had to know what time we arrived for breakfast.

Beautiful location, having visited the place several times when I lived nearby, but also gone in vain many times in closed self-catering .... Would have used the place as a workplace during a period where I would have bought coffee and lunch every day, but it had they do not have any interest in it, but have wondered a little but it is their choice if they want my money or not.

Great location and lovely bathing water also in November. A Getaway stay with food incl. Disappointed dinner. Nothing in the way of cooking but Christmas theme 11.nov. and cheap ingredients. Had probably expected a better restaurant. Too bad if the kitchen has too tight a budget.

We have lunch at Helenekilde on a quiet Sunday. Location and premises are top notch. So was the food. Very delicious fixed menu. Very green, only a bit of meat. Delicious home baked bread!
The service was very friendly but also extremely absent. We had to go out into the kitchen and remind the staff that we were missing beer - 10 minutes after we ordered - and had gotten one.
We ordered coffee and cake. The coffee came right away and was good. The cake came only when our neighbor had drunk the coffee. It seems like a tightening of staff would do wonders here.

Delicious lunch - but ...
Good quality open sandwiches but the price / quality is not followed.
A piece with a rather small fish fillet priced at DKK 155 is completely skewed.

Amazing wedding space and getaway hotel in Tisvilde

Lovely beach hotel in idyllic surroundings and with a fantastic view and location.

Lovely coffee and cake on the day of arrival on the sofa in one of the cozy rooms.

The room was really nice (deluxe room) and with a balcony overlooking the Kattegat.

The three dishes of the dinner were very delicious and tasty. However, the dessert was not that interesting again.

We slept wonderfully and the breakfast was lovely and homemade. However, there was mold in one of the jams, which is a bit unfortunate.

We spent a Friday night at Helenekilde and had a perfectly ok stay. Just went to order a set full menu in the evening so we ate at another cozy hotel nearby. However, the breakfast at Helenekilde was lovely and the whole hotel had both nice decor and views. However, responsive.
Wi-fi did not work at all during our entire stay and the mobile coverage was extremely poor so we had to send mail closer to the center in Tisvildeleje. I forgot a shirt in the room when we left, called back to the hotel the next day and wondered if they had found it. They promised to return when they heard from the other staff. Nothing happened. I have now called four times and sent three emails without anyone giving feedback. I find this to be extremely poor customer service and I advise prospective guests not to leave valuables (and obviously not clothes for that matter either) as one does not seem to be able to trust the staff.

We enjoyed every second of it. And as soon as you go over the bar to the terrace, you are overwhelmed.

Stylish furnishings and attentive, very friendly staff who always have a friendly word or a recommendation ready. The sunset is indescribable. The rooms are comfortable, probably depending on the price range. The whole complex invites you to stay, we saw almost no reason to go somewhere else, but that is due to our short stay.

We have had fantastic moments up there before, but today it was an honest deal.
Delicious starter, though not so tasteful.
The main course in a fixed menu was pork breast, very brave drag in a greasy time, with no alternatives.
The arrangement was nice, accessories delicious but our pieces of pork breast were over 50% fat, after some correspondences with a new replacement who wanted to avoid confronting the kitchen, we got two new pieces which were as expected, fat-grilled but meaty. Too bad it was not quality assured by the kitchen in the first place so we had avoided that the accessories were cold and we had to take the dialogue.
The dessert was a nice fromage with gos chocolate cream and rhubarb.

All in all not what I had looked forward to and not at all taken an envelope price of 495 recitals.
The free cappuccino we got in compensation because our table was double booked and we were asked to move on the couch did not help either.

I hope you tighten up before the season really begins!

Went for dinner. Beautiful spot, well decorated, appealing menu, but appalling service. Main course took over an hour. Staff friendly but hopeless, and no manager anywhere in sight. Shame.

The hotel must obviously have 'so many guests and have' so busy in the restaurant that this is why no phones are taken at all no matter when you call ..........
