I was thinking about volunteering here so I spent a couple hours observing what I thought and still think is a worth cause. During two short visits I observed a rider falling off she didn't seem to suffer any serious injuries however, the people around her didn't seem to mind at first. on the second short visit I observed a woman who appeared to be in charge swinging her arms in the air and yelling at people who I later learned were actual volunteers. I decided I would not subject myself to this environment. I hope that I just happened to visit at a bad time, but twice?.
Whatever life has saddled some people with, this place provides a stable environment to horse around. People with physical and emotional disabilities, at risk youth, and veterans with PTSD all benefit from the caring environment and from the lessons learned from these magnificent animals whose intuition and sensitivity teach so many life lessons and create memorable experiences. Horses, folks who are challenged, veterans, a great therapy for them and the folks who volunteer.
