Heartland Payroll sent an employee a direct deposit when I live check was requested and confirmed. After I submitted payroll to my sales rep Kayla she confirmed all was good a day later one of my employees got her stub and it showed direct deposit when she requested a live check. The employees bank account is frozen and any funds sent there she does not have access to. I call Kayla at Heartland immediately to ask why she put it in for direct deposit she said "No problem it hasn't been sent yet I will put a stop on it immediately" and she had me write a manual check for the employees payroll. 2 days later my employee tells me they sent the direct deposit to her frozen account so I call Kayla back again she says "Don't worry, you're covered, I will pull the deposit back and you're good to go" Well then I get an email from her supervisor LeeMichael who says they weren't able to pull the money back so they are debiting my account for the payment!! So now they took the money from me that they guaranteed would not be sent then guaranteed it would be returned plus had me write a manual check and to top it off they completely forgot to process payroll the next week for all of my employees!! When LeeMichael emails me and I respond he doesn't respond or even acknowledge I sent him anything. When he said he was debiting my account for the funds I replied with "You do not have my authorization to debit my account" And he did anyway. This employee is awful! he is the worst I have ever dealt with in over 20 years in business.
