Hearthstone Bistro Review

Escargot was insanely good, heavy on the garlic (which I love) with puff pastries that almost dissolved in my mouth. Deep rich broth in a very unique chili. Wonderful quiche. I'll be back! Weird that there are no windows, it's dark inside.

Beautiful meal I get the Gremelli pasta so yummy. Steve gets Mullagatawny soup. We ordered two soups to go they made a mistake so we got 3. So happy. Thanks

This was is the second time my wife and I have had the pleasure of eating at the Hearthstone Bistro. We were pleasantly surprised the first time and not disappointed the second. The service is always kind, the food is great, and they always seem to serve something that blows me away. Not only is this one of the best restaurants in Muskegon but it is one of my favorite place to eat in Michigan.

Great and unique food that's a little pricey. Bring your date here. It's quite intimate. Good beer and wine selection. Does have some outdoor seating!

The service was very slow, the fish tacos we're more cabbage than anything and the side of rice and beans tasted like it was out of a box. Other food was nothing special, not worth the price.

The staff was knowledgeable & helpful. The food outstanding. The sampler of 3 different soups was the best we have ever tasted.

I have been going to this place since I was a girl, and still love it every time. The food is great, especially the specials, and the wonderful soups! The Chicken Milanese is crazy good, and the service is always excellent. The staff here are professional, but chill, if that makes any sense!

Called from Florida with no idea how to arrange a catering for a small group in Michigan. Bobbi from catering was very informative and extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delivered at exact time promised and a big hit with everyone. Thanks to Bobbi and staff for a great job

Food was pricey but tasted amazing. The only thing I could not stand were the paper tablecloths! If I'm paying $30 for a meal I would appreciate a real tablecloth lol.

After our first visit several months ago that was awesome, we decided to take our friends there to celebrate my birthday. Well, we experienced several incidents of the wrong drinks, and the wrong food being delivered, and after a continued downslide of mishaps we felt the evening of celebration was a bust. We were offered free desert to apologize for the mishaps which was just an ok fix since none of us are big desert eaters. When we went to pay the bill, the manager took care of the whole meal for the group and delivered deserts to go as well. Bravo, you saved the day with customer service to exceed our expectations! Thanks for salvaging my birthday evening. The food is always excellent!

If you are in the area of Muskegon, MI, you MUST visit Hearthstone Bistro. They offer an extensive gluten free menu, and the staff is quite knowledgeable. The food was amazing, and it was a great evening for a family birthday celebration.

The atmosphere, food, and service were spectacular! We enjoyed our meals on their beautiful patio! Hearthstone Bistro is definitely our new favorite place to dine out!

The best and most sophisticated menu in town. Specials every day. Always worth trying. Soup special every day along with great every day choices. Hearthstone Favorite sandwich never disappoints and the entrees can satisfy any pallete.

Great service for our group of 10. The food was amazing, from the appetizers to the main course. Creative dishes, which ensures you can try something new. I had the escargot, cheddar cheese/popcorn soup, and crab cakes. All that combined with my Saviougn Blanc...5 stars.

The meal was nearly superb if not for the tough chicken in our bowtie pasta supper. The melody of flavors between perfectly prepared vegetables, parmesan and lightly lemon enhanced made this meal memorable and worth the trip to repeat, but without the chicken next time. The chicken was cooked easily twice the time necessary which is common in less impressive eateries. The Hearthstone has much more to offer than their well established champion homemade soups.

Some of the best food in Muskegon. The service has always been excellent as well. The servers seem to love their food and care about their customers.

A must for my husband and I when we are anywhere near Muskegon. This is the third time we have eaten here and they did not disappoint. My husbands Panko Crusted White Fish with mustard sauce was amazing and my Chicken Milanese was delicious. We also ordered the goat cheese fritter and both wished we could have a bottle of the sauce that came with it. Third time was great and we look forward to our next meal with them.

Always great, my wife and I try to get there at least a couple of times a month. The features are always good, super consistent food, and the deserts are a problem if you like sweets like me.

Delicious soups! Delicious sandwiches and salads! A step above the typical Muskegon dining scene. Always a treat to come here!

This place is a Muskegon staple, and for good reason. I have never, NEVER, had a bad meal or poor service here. The menu has such a range that fits any budget and taste. There's a reason this place is always packed. Go there, you wont regret it!!

Went here to celebrate with my friends. We had a great experience. Excellent service and excellent food. They made my holiday celebration special.

One of my best friend got married last weekend and hearthstone served chicken Parmesan buffet style and it was the worst case scenario... I had to inform the bride that the chicken was raw. There were 200 guests and the first Chauffeur was raw in the middle.

I think this place is over hyped. Sure the Ford is prepared well but it's too fancy for my taste. I had to Google menu items to know what it was.

The new patio is very nice. Good for a summer outdoor experience. The menu is consistently strong across all of the dishes. Drinks by the bartender are well made. The interior is up to date and quiet for a good dining experience.

Absolutely love this place. Nice atmosphere and awesome staff! We go here all the time for work parties and work lunches. Prices are a little higher then your average restaurant. But if you re looking for a nice place to go with friends or a romantic night... this is your place!

The food is hit or miss. Luckily it's more hit than miss.

Always a great dining experience. Wonderful staff and creative chefs. I enjoy the Cheese soup and the Peach BBQ ribs when available!

Went with my fiance for our 4 year anniversary 2 weeks ago and had a great time. We have been there once before and its one of the few place where you leave happier than you came in.

Love this place! Everything we've ordered tasted and looked wonderful. There is an extensive gluten free menu so my daughter has lots of choices. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Nice atmosphere. We highly recommend Hearthstone Bistro.

High end bistro meets small town digs with dark and warm atmospheres, renownd Hearthstone Bistro has served some of the best dishes in West Michigan for over 40 years. The service is always top shelf, as is every dish I have tried from their eclectic menu.

From the time we were greeted at the entrance, to the excellent service we received from both Server Tessa & Manager Damien, to the delectable food. A little slice of Heaven located right in Muskegon Michigan. This was our first time there. Super impressed. Will highly recommend to our social circle. Pat your selves on the back Hearthstone staff. Well done, I say again WELL DONE!

We had their soups for an appetizer, and while that isn't my normal, all 3 were excellent - difficult to decide on a favorite. Then had their fish tacos and we're pleasantly surprised by the full flavor and distinctive taste. My only issue was three beers on tap, so I stayed with water.
