HEAR Center Review

HEAR Center has been providing outstanding service and support to me and my wife for many years, providing hearing aids, hearing tests, etc. Appointments are currently necessary due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but service quality remains high.

I do not understand the complaints about lack of parking. HEAR Center has off-street parking for more than a dozen cars, right next to the building. I have NEVER had a problem getting a parking space there. Maybe these complaints are mistaking a different facility for HEAR Center.

I have always found the staff to be courteous, professional and caring. Before the pandemic, I often saw families with young children in the waiting area at the entrance, and the children always seemed excited to see their hearing or speech therapist.

HEAR Center provides the community with a one-stop-shop for hearing evaluations and hearing aid disbursement. You can feel confident that your hearing rehabilitation will be in good hands with the licensed audiologists. Also when you buy a H.A. from this non-profit, you contribute to the good health of others who cannot afford to pay full price. HEAR Center offers low payment plans and grant opportunities for low-income individuals after an approved application. Did I mention they have speech therapy for children?! Thanks HC for all you do for Pasadena and Los Angeles County!

I purchased my current hearing aids 3 years ago from Hear Center. My parents bought my previous hearing aids somewhere else and paid more for lower technology level hearing aids than what I got my current pair for. I was able to get better quality hearing aids and a streamer for less than what they paid for my old ones. I have hearing aids that connect to my phone through the streamer via Bluetooth. As an experienced hearing aid user I'm really happy with my hearing aids. The Audiologists have always been helpful when it comes to adjustments and hearing aid check up appointments. I have worn hearing aids since I was 6 years old and I wish my parents had been referred to Hear Center since I was diagnosed with hearing loss.

As a former Speech and language pathology assistant, I can t say that I love the HEAR Center and the staff that make this place so amazing!

Family friendly and caring staff! They have resources for those in need of hearing aids, hearing tests, and speech services.

Very rude receptionist over the phone! I requested to be seen at a different location and if you don't like your job don't do it an don't give attitude to others for your unhappiness.

I don t know what the no parking is about. I have never had the issue.. my child goes here for speech. Has been coming here for a year, only sees the speech therapist once a week for 30 minutes. Currently their speech therapists are new. So I can t say anything about the current ones. We ve see her twice now. (This week school is on break and we forgot about our session, will be getting charged as a no show. I ll have to remember that next time they cancel on us. They are a nonprofit and it WAS on me, they inform you when you start going about their no show bill). Her previous therapist was super nice and my daughter loved going to her (should probably add my daughter loves everyone). The receptionists are great too. Yet, it s not enough. Doesn t feel like her speech is really improving. A friend of mine who is a speech therapist elsewhere suggested I find a new place as the amount of time she s been coming isn t helping and at her age the issues she s working on will only get harder to fix. I will be giving the new therapist a chance, I told her my concern already, so we ll see if there is improvement.

Our family was referred to the HEAR Center after a very difficult and frustrating experience with another audiologist. We ve had a very rough year medically with our son (who just turned two) and were feeling disappointed with the entire medical system. However, talking to the HEAR Center it was the first time in a long time I felt hopeful. Ellen was our initial contact and was incredibly patient and kind. It was the first time in a long time I felt like someone was listening, cared, and had some solutions. She walked through all [of] our options, provided stellar recommendations, and took the time to fully answer questions. I really felt like we finally had some people on our team.
When our son went in to the HEAR Center for some tests, they were warm and welcoming and kind. Ellen stayed connected and involved with all the aspects of our son s follow up which meant a lot to us. And the results were clear and understandable! What a wonderful find! We are so grateful for their help!!! They really changed our view for the better!

I took my grandma to hear center for a free hearing aid consultantion. My grandma lives in Los Angeles, and we were unsure of where to take her to get hearing aids. I found hear center through a google search and saw that they are a nonprofit. Natalie was really helpful and patient with us. She answered all our questions about hearing aids. I highly recommend hear center.
