I left a job that I worked for over 5 years as a culinary supervisor to move into their MIT (Manager in Training) position and over the course of the 5 months I worked there I only had roughly 2 hours worth of training that was related to the position I was given. Completely unbalanced work/life (50+ hr per week), one day off a week while managers gave themselves weekends off, unwilling to spend money on product needed for the kitchens so we can follow recipe provided by the company, broken kitchen equipment and lack of proper cleaning supplies made it a challenge to provide the level of professionalism to our clients.
I've worked in a kitchen for over 6+ years and this was by far the worse working experience in my life. I completely regret stepping away from my previous employer to work for this company.
