My mom is well cared for, the staff does a nice job.
I was supremely impressed with the extent of cares and services that are available, the knowledge of the staff (especially the specialists), as well as the compassionate nature of the care that the staff provided to my Grandma who was admitted to Benedictine on two separate occasions. I am a Registered Nurse, so I am better than the average Joe at evaluating healthcare facilities ;)
they have been taking good care of me! God Bless all the people that work there at Benedictine!
Our family has nothing but positive things to say about the staff in the short term care unit at Benedictine. Our father ended up being there for a lengthy period of time, and they took such good care of him. They were also too kind to our family who was going through a very difficult time. We cannot thank them enough, or say enough good things about the staff.
Caring staff and home like environment. Wonderful place!
I gave 3 stars because of his first visit otherwise it would have been 2. My father is here it is his second time. The first was for stroke rehab and this time it is for a broken hip rehab. He had a decent experience the first time but this time has been terrible. There is one PT staff member we remember from last time otherwise turnover seems to be abundant. If you have a loved one in here be sure you have someone around to advocate for them, and who pays attention to the procedures the staff are conducting. I will not go through all the documentation I have written so far of this short visit. I am sure there are worst places, but don't go there thinking that everything they say at the top trickles down and is followed through with. Be vigilant about follow-up and documentation. Be aware of what is going on around you when you visit and continue to ask questions of the staff and your loved one. Its exhausting to do on top of worrying about a loved one, but it seems to be the only way to move things forward at this place. Best of luck on recovery for you or your loved one. PS shower policy we were told was only once a week, how would you feel :(
They lost my husbands clothes. Most everything had his name on it.
My mother was just admitted at 5pm this evening and I am not impressed. Her room reeked of piss and I had to chase a nurse down to give her pain meds an hour after she was supposed to have them. Patients are supposed to have a meeting with their care team within 24-48 hours. Hers isn't scheduled until Monday and today is Thursday. I will be visiting her daily to make sure that she is being taken care of and suggest the same of anyone with a loved one here.
My mom has been in the TCU 2 times. The facility is clean and nicely appointed. The staff is kind, caring and helpful. The Nurses are knowledgeable and efficient.
hated their aide staff...very rude from my first day , if they treated other recovering patients the way they treated me they need prople skills no matter what conditions they are in.
I debated about writing this review, but I feel that people need to know what happened and why I gave this location a one star. My father was transferred from Regency Hospital in Minneapolis to this nursing home to continue his rehab from a Hemorrhagic stroke on Monday October 16th and passed away suddenly Thursday October 19th.
When he was transferred, things we looking up, the bleeder was down, there was some response, but not even a week later he was gone...Why????
Wednesday the 18th my mom stated to a doctor he didn't look good and said she thinks he needs to be suctioned, the doctor on staff said no. Think about this, a man who cant advocate for himself, and they wont do what his wife and power of attorney wants, and later that night he aspirated. At this point you would think the Nursing Home would do something, suction him? Call 911? Nope, they chose to monitor him...aka, watch my father die.
October 19th after choking on his own vomit all night, they decided at this point to call an ambulance. By this time it was too late.
Be careful when choosing a place for your loved ones, ask questions, read reviews. I wouldn't ever want anyone to have to go through this and lose a loved one so senselessly.
Therapy staff is excellent, but the majority of nursing staff and assistants are inattentive, uncaring and unhelpful. I had to remove my mother from there after two days, because they were not capable of providing the level of care she required.
Very good care center, I am doing clinical here, and it has been very good experience I witness between the residents/ patients and workers.
