Head Start of Greater Dallas Review

I am having a bit of a hard time enrolling my son into this program. The income verification person is asking for my 2014 tax return which I have not yet filed, so I do not have that. But the application here says that the last check stub will be vaild as well. So why is she giving me kick back asking for a letterhead from the 3 past jobs I have held refelcting the total amount I earned for the year????Now follow, me she does not want the LAST CHECK STUB like the application states, she wants this unnecessary information typed up by these different companies that I again no lonfer work for. This is making me want to go somewhere else, I dont like hassle. So it is either get him the open spot and rush to file my taxes to get this information she claims she must have. Or just let him miss out on this opprotunity. I love my son and I hope that this is not how things will be if I can't even get in the door.

From a frustrated DAD!!

The teachers and Mrs.Daniels are great! They lost a couple of great teachers from last year which was so heartbreaking. They have new management and it seems that everyone is unhappy. The energy is very different from last year and it's not good. Nevertheless, The teachers are very involved with the students and parents. It's pretty clean and I feel safe when I'm in the building. I would give it a 5 star but management needs to do something about the employee atmosphere.

I work with HSGD for almost 5 years then I relocated. I loved my job and the Agency. Head Start rocks!! I'm glad that there are Agencies such as this that provide the Community free services and resources.

Great opportunity for children to gain learning skills and prepare them public schools.

I was fired because of my work authorization even after given them proof I can still work and even got a later from immigration office they 're racist and the supervisor only favor who they like.

Great place to bring your young children to get a Early Head Start in school in life

I had the worst experience in my life .here some teachers teach division, wickedness and bad attitudes. If you must send ur children to head start pls be watchful, sometimes you never know what they fill up their brains with .It's so sad dat some teachers are bad, and I wonder how America will be for the next generation.

My son1st year here and we love it my family advocate Ms Chatman and his teachers are great

People was friendly, cleaned facility, security was great.

EVERY ONE WORKS THERE IS EXTRA NICE. I HAD TAKEN MY 3YRS OLD DEKAISA TODAY. I RETURN HOME AND MY HOUSE KEY WAS MISSING SO I BACK TRACK MYSELF. WENT BACK TO HEAD START AND THE LADY WORKING THE PARKING LOT MET ME I LET HER KNOW I WASN'T GOING TO PARK I HAD LOST MY HOUSE KEY. I SHOWED HER WHERE I HAD PARK EARLIER I'M IN MY TRUCK. THIS LADY GOT DOWN ON THE CEMENT LOOK UNDER THE SUV PARK WHERE I WAS EARLIER AND RETRIEVE MY HOUSE KEY. I'M DISABLED IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HARD FOR ME TO DO THAT. I REALLY APPRECIATE THE YOUNG LADY THAT HELP ME. JIMMY CHANCE THANK YOU YOUNG LADY I DON'T KNOW HER NAME.

My 3 yr old son Matthew attended the Ferguson Oates Location preschool program, room 5.
After 3 weeks of enrollment, we were notified and they schedule a meeting with 6 members of there staff, that our son was acting out.
Upon leaving i observe our son only had a picture where he hangs his coat in the class, but the other children all had there pictures and names on items throughout the classroom.
I ask the site manager and the Director of Center Operations how much time do they allow there staff to issue these items.
NO ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They called for a 2nd meeting with 7 staff member to provide special services to view my son while he is in class.
My son's mother went off, she was ask to leave and not to ever return.
Hours later i was informed by the Chief Operation Officer and the Director of Center Operations that a member of there staff at that location was taunting our son to act out.
I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS SERIOUS

My son went to this school for two years before kindergarten and I loved it. Luckily he was in the best classroom and had the best teachers. Mrs Warren and Mrs LaFlora are amazing teachers. Staff was also always great to my son and I. Being the only child he started out a bit reserved but after week 2 they had developed his learning and helped him become more social with kids and adults. Now I can't get this boy to be quiet, lol! I loved having him here.

What a nightmare really this is the first time I go my daughter studied in another headstar but Serrated and really bad, I went to the orientation class 3 hours hard that meeting the managers are quite sharp and if on the Board singing and dancing as If I don't care what is ridiculous, they won't help you, it's the worst thing I've ever seen. I hope to change my daughter soon. If they want to sing and dance they should hold a meeting for themselves.

I LOVE this school, and the STAFF!! Ms. SESSION, Mrs. Flores and Ms. Hargraves are all WONDERFUL TEACHERS! SOON as you enter the door you'll see Ms. Daniels smiling with a wonderful greeting and the sweet young lady at the front desk! Energy is just GREAT! #Gannonlocation
