I would give them a minus gazillion points if i could. I left my mother there in July, 2018 for a respite care. They understood clearly she was a severe fall hazard. On one evening (just a couple of days shy of me picking her up) they left her unattended watching TV . She fell and broke her right hip, never recovered, and passed away a week ago.
NOTHING CAN BRING MOM BACK!! This message is to let the world know that there was a serious negligence in the part of the Arden Courts Staff. The case must be and will be investigated and addressed so that an unnecessary tragedy that should never occur again!
I had a relative that stayed at Arden Courts for two months. I can honestly say that the staff members are very patient, kind, and genuinely care about the residents. I would "pop-up" to see how my relative was being treated at various times of the day. I not only witnessed the kindness that my relative was being shown, but I was also pleased to see how nicely the other residents were being treated. The only issue that might occur would be the way that the residents, (due to the condition that the residents have been diagnosed with), have a tendency to wander into each other's rooms and possibly remove another patient's personal items. If a personal item is missing, the Arden Courts staff members will definitely try to locate a displaced item. I really enjoyed working with the staff, so much so, that I would go back to visit the staff, eventhough my relative is no longer there.
Worked with this company for over a year and the staff are very caring and take excellent care of the residents. They provide activities that keep the residents engaged and encourage higher level thinking and the residents seem to enjoy it very much. While working there I saw many residents create friendships that were similar to a family environment. Many family members of the residents form bonds with the staff and other residents. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking a loving home like environment for their family. It is also wonderful place to work.
My mother has Alzheimer's and we looked at many places locally for her to live and be cared for. We chose Arden Courts of Silver Spring for many reasons: Really caring staff and management, a safe environment, almost 20 years of experience with memory care, full time on site nursing, and a comprehensive program that of course does not cure Alzheimer's, but helps to slow decline and reduce anxiety in residents. Everyone from the marketing staff to kitchen to the maintanance staff is versed memory care and relates well to residents and will help them if needed. Every staff member seems to know all the residents and they have incredible patience with them. I honestly can say I feel I have found the best place my mother could be.
