We had been thinking about transferring our Hi 8 tapes to disc for along time. I didn't want to trust the online services with the chance that they could possibly get lost. So I did an Google search for local services. I read the different reviews and decided to use HB media. Harold met me on a Sat. He said they would be ready within 3 weeks. He was upfront with his pricing and I was thoroughly pleased with his service. I would recommend him for all your media needs.

I had a lot of old VCR tapes, and 8mm reels to convert. They worked with me to review some of the tapes and even refunded money for tapes that were blank. I couldn't be happier with the service I got there, they were very nice and gave me lots of storage options for the media. I am returning to do more VCR tapes I have found. Thanks !!!
They asked me to write a good review, if I was pleased, which I was initially ,when I picked up my tapes. I had 54, video 8 tapes to transfer, which is a lot. Harold did it at a discounted rate because of the volume and all was well. When I watched the footage on the hard drive, there were two tapes that were from a different family than mine. I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I called and they were happy to fix the issue. However, when I went in to see them, Harold was telling me that it was impossible for him to put the wrong footage on a hard drive. That it could not happen. He was upset, rude, accusatory of me making a mistake, and was raising his voice and getting so upset that he ended up dropping my tapes and my hard drive on the ground. It was an unprofessional and at that point I was concerned that I may not even get my tapes and my hard drive back. We decided I would be back at the end of the day to pick up the new footage, which he assured me would not be any different. I received a call later on in the day, of him saying he had made a mistake and he would fix it. I asked him for an apology, for how he had reacted when I was there in the morning. It had shaken me up. He got very upset again and I was concerned that he wasn't going to fix it, so I dropped it. Later I picked up my stuff and when I walked in, he commented to his assistant, "speaking of the devil". He explained where the mistake happened and I picked up my stuff and left. When I got home, I watched the hard drive, and I saw two new tapes of my family that were not there before, so all was well. I have no problem with people making mistakes. My issue was the anger and frustration that was landed on me from him telling me that it was impossible. My tapes were good, quality was fine. However, I did not appreciate of how I was treated during this whole debacle. I feel three stars is being extremely kind.
I was recommended by a friend to use HB Media Solutions, and decided to use them because I found a coupon on Groupon. I have used them 4 different times now for photo, VHS, slides, and reel film transfer to flash drive. They are quick, easy to reach and reasonably priced. They treat my media with great care. My photos and videos are invaluable, and having them all digitized and protected is extremely important to me. I wouldn't trust any other place with them. Thanks Harold and the entire HB team!
Harold did a great job. I dropped off my DVD at 10 AM, he called me at 6 PM to get my Gmail account (in order to send the videos via Google Drive) and 15 minutes later, I got the videos. It is hard to find these type of good lever of service in South FL, kudos to him!!!
I had my family's old 8mm home movies that I've been wanting to digitize for many years and I'm so glad I brought them to HB Media. They put everything on a hard drive and I was able to share them with my sisters today. Everything was so clear to view. There were old trips, birthday parties, and even my parents old wedding movie that were so wonderful to watch. I only wish I had done it sooner. They also had them back to me very quickly, it took less than 3 weeks. There was no need to plop then in a box and mail them off to some unknown place, when we have a local business nearby. Thank you for doing such a great job!
We dropped off 40 years of family photos which were professionally saved on a drive that we can use to create electronic albums or send to a third party album producer. The pricing was reasonable and the service fast.I was relieved to find a place that would save these precious memories forever.
I had 27 8mm & VCR tapes, sitting in a box for 22 years ranging from my Wedding Day to both of my children's births & first few years. I've always wanted to convert them, but like most of us, just never could find the time, (plus was afraid they would be grainy and ruined for sitting for so long). Well my husband and children decided to convert them all to DVD for me this past Christmas. When I opened that present, I CRIED!!!! This was probably one of the best gifts I've ever received in my life! The staff at HB Media Solutions were extremely friendly and helpful, and did an AMAZING job! I spent 11 hours on Christmas day just watching them all, and everytime I sit down at night and watch them, the Nostalgia I feel is SO overwhelming. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone to use HB Media Solutions for their digital needs and again.....THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
