Nice Canoe Livery for riding on the river by bringing your own canoe or renting one.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! HAZELBAKER CANOES is one of the WORST experiences we have had the staff were rude made inappropriate comments to the women and more then 6 times on our water experience today people capsized on our way down they drove way over the speed limit we were actually getting sick with a handful of people in the car and a trailer full of canoes I did not feel safe and lost personal belongings because of how many times the boats flipped we were supposed to have a guide they claimed he was there the whole time (he was not present until 5:pm an hour prior to closing), gave us kayaks with a 200 pound weight limit most of us were told carry ons were aloud, including the people who were bigger, we had asked for a bigger canoe for the larger people in our group which they did not provide when we showed up to get in the water resulting in injuries trust me we stressed the issue they did nothing.. feet and legs injured due to capsizing my boyfriend was stranded on the side of the water for 30 minutes because there was no guard or safety trainer on the water with us they threatened to over charge us for being a half hour late coming back which led to other altercations they treated us poorly 100% do not recommend ever going here..!

Some of the canoes are junk some are nice, but fun time!

I used this place all the time, the honor system works also, I just wish their take out area wasn't so terribly gross.

It was a beautiful and relaxing trip down the river, I can't wait to do it again.

The greatest place for a day on the river! Super nice employees TOO!

The most amazing river outfitters I've ever been to. More than accommodating, more than helpful, they have bent over backwards every time to make sure my group had the best experience of the summer....

They were closed when I visited. Just giving 5 stars to be nice. I'm pretty sure I used their services a few years ago & had a blast!

Connellsville s sewage treatment plant is right across the river from the drop off point.

We had a wonderful trip on the river Sunday. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Terrific canoe trip. Cannot wait to do it again!!!

Another great time. Good service and helpful. Running behind and held the shuttle 10 mins. Awesome folks!

Canoes to rent, they provide the canoe,and the ride up to Ohiopyle to ride back down. Not an easy ride back on the yough, you better know how to swim, and be strong. No history of accidents as far as I know, however.

Great experience, lots of fun for bird watching, fishing and just floating down the river.

Driver was speeding like a mad man, at least it felt like it. Also, was not thrilled to receive a hard bottom/back kayak for 14 mile trip when others got padded and larger kayaks. The price was right, but will not return.

One of my favorite summertime outings for years. Don't forget your sunscreen, though.

They use poor quality equipment the staff is very unprofessional and the unloading point looks like a mud pit for pigs I used these guys once and it'll be the last time this was way overpriced and I don't recommend them

Been going here for 20 years at least. Always a good experience. Take ur float during the week as it gets very busy on the weekends.

Great time but the gentleman that drove us seemed like he was having a bad day he couldn t wait 5 min for the other half of our party to arrive that drove 2 hours to get there the response was they shouldn t be 5 minutes late a lot can happen in 5 minutes but have had a good experience otherwise

Go rent some canoes or kayaks and get out on the river! They are great no hassle and your in and out of the rental area quickly!

Hazelbakers is great! the people are always very accommodating and friendly. I couldn't say a bad thing about this business. I've been going here for years!

I will say that on our last visit we followed a large group of young adults. Our entire trip was spent scooping up their Miller lite cans. It was disgusting. Their group was so intoxicated that their boats were tipped over every five mins, throw up in the water and litter everywhere! A complete disrespectful act and lack of class. Please have a little respect for nature. Be a pig in your own home.

Have gone here yearly for a group kayak trip. Staff were very attentive to our needs. Always a good time.

A nice part of our community. The ower is friendly and easy to tlak to. Your trip down river will be a fun enjoyable one for the qhole family

Went here yesterday on the 4th. Did the 4hr trip. They ferry you from Layton to Dawson where you put it then float yourself back to Layton. It was a beautiful day on the water. Other than the many large groups who were also out partying which was great as well, there were no other boats out so all us kayaks and canoes had the river to ourselves. Typical daily rates for the short trip are 25$. Since we went on a holiday we paid the weekend short trip rate which was 38$ per person.

So we scheduled for an 8am departure, we were running a little late I tried to call times and no one answered. When we get there the guy looks right at us and drives away. When I asked the girl at the counter why they didn't answer the phone when we called and she said "aha I guess I didn't turn over the phone." When I asked if he could quickly turn around and grab us she said no not my problem, even though they just left.
