Took ages to deliver compared to Riverside / couldn t fulfil part of my order / then didn t pay Quidco cash back (reason I chose it initially)... wouldn t use again. Don t recommend.

To owner s response- you were still listed as offering cash back on Quidco when I purchased it/ the fact that you withdrew from that post-sale, says it all really.

A beautiful place with a lot of Christmas decoration. If you are looking for a place to buy all your Christmas gifts and decorations this is the place to go!!!

Fantastic service. We ordered some garden furniture in April, unfortunately we encountered problems from the suppliers. Despite numerous frustrated phone calls, Kelsey and Janice worked exceptionally hard to rectify these issues. We would certainly recommend Hayes garden world.

Had Xmas decorations on display. Good selection. Cafe upstairs. Have a Santa's grotto. Always have a good display of plants and pots. Free carpark

There is so much to see here .not just plants and bulbs

Excellent garden centre with Cotswold Outdoors, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Toy shop, gifts, BBQ and cafe.

Decided that on a rainy day this was a better option than walking around Ambleside. Went for lunch, good selection of light snacks, very happy with our sausage swirl on ciabatta roll. Very well organised for Covid protocols. Just as we were finishing fire alarm went off and staff organised evacuation with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency. WELL DONE TO YOU ALL.

Love this garden centre really good value for money

Visitors should be aware of the small step in the main hall marked with a dark red line .My wife had a bad fall over this in May this year injuring shoulder neck and knee and guess what Hayes did not want to know ,all details were taken at the time and obviously thrown in the bin.We attended the garden centre later in the year and spoke to a person who said was a manager,again took details on a scrap of paper and would be in touch.The staff all agree the line marking this step is dangerous ut top date nothing has been done.So much for customer care.

Great garden centre lots too see. Probably the best in the lake district. Worth a look

Good place for wandering around. Lots to buy, from pants to plants and rakes to quite possibly cakes. Nice spacious resteraunt upstairs with decent selection of food.

Huge garden centre with an outdoor section run by Cotswold Sports. Cafe nice but expensive & slow. Free parking for a couple of hours means the car park is sometimes filled with Tourists heading to town.

If you like all things Christmas this is a very nice place to visit at this time of year

Had a lovely day out at Hayes Garden World, fantastic Christmas displays. I was slightly disappointed, there wasn't as good a display of fish in the aquatic department. It was the first time I didn't go outside to look at the plants due to the bad weather, but the group I went with all enjoyed their time there.

Excellent large garden centre, well worth a visit. You will find something here to suit you, such a wide range. It really is an enjoyable place to look around.
However it is very expensive and the restaurant, more cafe really, is quite basic and expensive - do your self a favour, pop into Ambleside proper and visit a nicer eatery.

Love this garden centre normally, but not impressed that you cannot have more than 2 people per household enter! I went with my girlfriend and son and they wouldn t let us in. I appreciate these are the rules, but as long as you keep your distance I can t see a problem, in a large open space.

Lovely to revisit just before Christmas. Christmas wonderland was magical, my granddaughter was amazed. Great memory for her.

Very bad experience. Travelled 20 miles just for centre. Arrived 4pm chose some good's. Went to cafe and was let in by staff to meet my wife who was in question to pay. Check out member of staff said it was 5pm and she was not serving the ones at the back. The man in front of us had to leave as did we. All goods returned and we did not carry on shopping as planned. Informed customer service and although they were pleasant, there was no apologies. Customer service Zero

Dissapointed visit today...we visit Hayes regularly especially over the late Autumn period to see the Christmas displays but on entering the centre today we found out you cannot enter with your dog Its such a shame as we always enjoyed a good walk round Hayes finishing our visit with coffee and cake........Oh well we will have to find dog friendly locations on our next visit to the Lakes.......

Plenty to look round here and a cafe . This garden centre is in lovely surroundings. It takes you a while to look around. Lots of gift items and clothing as well.Makes a good day out.

Amazing customer service today. Grand-daughter bought toy for her aunt's dog in summer holidays, when staying in Windermere. Yesterday my dog destroyed toy the when my daughter's dog was staying with me. Hayes are posting me a new toy, going by my description and Megan went to the trouble of taking a picture of the toy and emailing it to me! It is being posted to me tomorrow. Talk about going the extra mile - well done all at Hayes!

Great place for all things for the home and garden. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Restaurant is excellent with a great selection on the menu. It's got to be the best place in the country for garden furniture with an excellent display area, all their stock items are on display so you and try them out before you buy them. Excellent delivery service. If you suddenly decide you want an item when you are back home they have the best website for a garden centre. Highly recommended.

It's a lovely garden centre. But they need to bring down the price of the fairy world. It's way over priced for such a short time you spend there.

Pleasant place to visit, enjoyable. Christmas displays are accessible, not to cramp.

Got to be the biggest and best layed out garden centre I have ever been in, there is just about anything and everything that you may want to buy, a really good selection of plants, shrubs and seeds, Edinburgh wool +many more stores, there is also a decent cafe, you could quite easily spend 4/5 hours looking around, if you're in Ambleside it's well worth a visit.

Fantastic garden centre but as all good garden centres we always spend a fortune

We were at the centre this morning, just after 10am we went straight to the restaurant, I think we were the first customers of the day, it took three goes to get a decent cup of coffee, first was not hot at all, I took it back the young lady made me another (of which was nice and hot) but when I got back to the table and took off all the froth I was left with half a cup of coffee so back I went again and asked her to please fill it up, so, eventually I got a nice hot full cup of coffee.
Also, I would like to add, it didn't look as if the floor had been hoovered from the day before, very disappointed with our visit.

Great place to visit. Came here in December to see Santa with the kids and it was great. Ate at the restaurant which was good value and plentyful. Overall a good place with something for all.
