Dan Lewis and his team have gone above and beyond to help me navigate a situation I thought I would never be in. This group is amazing to work with and truly helps you establish a new normal. Although I never thought I would need family law assistance, I know now that I chose the correct firm and wholeheartedly would recommend them to everyone I know.

Partner Paul DeJesse will compliment you that you came to the right place and will advise you that you will be well informed. Charge $600 an hr with atty Alexa Carini deplete 30k retainers on discovery responses that they never file in court. Abandon you, get you sanctioned and accountable for their unethical practices. Write letters instead of motions to compel and pay themselves with your portion of Equitable Distribution. File nothing with the court, no receipts, 10 hr mediations to canoodle w/OC, no atty fee affs, and extort you pleading for your lawful rights! Will return your case only after defaming you to a judge claiming you disrespected them and must withdraw. They ll respond to this review alleging you have the wrong firm and your name is not in their database.

If want a bad experience go with them. If you want anything but that go with Anyone else. Save your money and time. A family member used them and it was bad. Don't believe me? Read the reviews.

I have worked with HLG and specifically Paul DeJesse & Alexa Carini for an extended period of time on a very complicated and unusual family law issue. They have been thorough, attentive, well-prepared and supportive throughout the process. Adversarial legal proceedings are never fun and usually very stressful, however the HLG team has always been thoughtful and honest with their approach, and striven to provide the optimal outcome not just for myself as their client, but also for other parts of the family who otherwise would be negatively affected. They have done a first rate job and I would thoroughly recommend them.

If you want to pay the paralegals with no experience, and associates that graduated from Charlotte School of Law ( which, by the way, no longer exists because it was closed down) partner rates/copious amounts of cash without them ever helping your case, this is your place.

They charged $5.5K for a 5 page motion. That wasn t to go to court or anything. Just to file it.

I am filing charges in court and reported them to the Bar. It s seriously really bad. You are warned.

Never use this law firm. They do not have a passion for you or the law. They are more interested in you paying them very high fees. I was poorly represented by this firm. For a very high attorney bill, they show up in court very unprepared. They are horrible.

Eighteen months ago I entered the offices of the Hatcher Law Group in Charlotte and met Courtney Smith. It was the best thing that happened to me during my divorce process. From the first day I felt confident and comfortable with Courtney. She was prepared beyond belief every step of the way. Her attention to detail and preparation for the mediation proceeding was incredible. My property settlement was complex including multiple properties, pensions, and investments and was settled fairly and equitably. While Courtney was fully knowledgeable she didn't hesitant consulting her colleagues if there was a question on any issue. I'm now a happy man starting a new life in Florida. Courtney Smith is an excellent attorney and the Hatcher Law Group is an awesome firm! Courtney was very professional, provided excellent advice and counsel through the entire process. I have continued to work with her even after my divorce on specific issues that have arisen and she has been there for me and provided great service. The level of service and expertise that Courtney provided me was outstanding. She definitely out-performed the opposing lawyer and the firm outperformed the opposing firm. The Hatcher Law Group and Courtney Smith are top performers in their profession. I wholeheartedly recommend both the firm and the attorney to anyone, except my adversaries.

When your attorney spends more time asking if you can get your hands on more money (to pay him) than working on your case, you know you've gone to the wrong place. Do you think it is appropriate to require the client be escorted to the bathroom with a chaperone in their own office?? Be prepared to be pay the lawyer's hourly wage and the paralegal's hourly wage to do clerical duties. Be prepared to pay "consultations" to other lawyers in the group without your prior consent.

My best advice....look elsewhere!

Paul DeJesse and his team saw me through a very complicated and messy family law issue that took many years to settle. To his credit (and my chagrin most days) Paul insisted that my paperwork submissions were accurate and relevant, which always proved to work in my favor both in and out of court. He was thorough, consistent and caring - listening to me rant when needed, letting me verbalize my frustrations. His mediation skills were very terrific, making sure I was aware of the possibilities and/or consequences in each step of the way. I would recommend him highly!

The team at Hatcher Law is the best in their business, they were always professional, well timed and flexible. Dan was always prepared and always had details. I would highly recommend this team in any sitation.

Horrible people at this law firm. Don t let the smiling and smirking faces fool you. They will quickly turn on you and treat you like garbage while speaking kinds words to your face.

My past experiences with family law representation have been lackluster to say the least. Working with Alexandria has been a whole different experience.
